We come pretty regularly during the week and weekends here. I LOVE their Americanos - they're easy to mess up and often are burnt but I've never had a problem with Highwire's espresso. They make truly excellent coffee. Sometimes there's a wait on the weekend before/during the farmers market but it moves fairly fast and is always worth the wait

The interior makes one feel that you are in a high end cafe with its beautiful decor. Some many items to choose from, the person taking my order was very helpful in explaining the different kinds of drinks and pastries. Ordered the Ginger Honey Jobani as a hot drink, Biscoff Milkcake, Honeycomb, and a Beef Fatayer. There were several kinds of milkcakes which would have the texture like a tres leches cake. The Honeycomb had pockets of cream cheese and was drizzles with honey. The Meat Fatayer is like an empanada. The food and drink were very tasty. Highly recommend to stop by Sanaa Cafe and experience it. Their website shows more cafe openings in the future!

Suggested great recommendations. they had told me this is not the first sana'a cafe -- there are 10 other locations around the bay. this cafe, in particular, is great for work or even to sit down and sip some coffee. it is spacious -- with great amount of sunlight. when you go at golden hour -- its perfection. although the cafe is great, my chai wasn't so much. it lacked in flavor and wasn't iced the way I would prefer it to be. but I'd still definitely give this place a try again -- maybe a coffee this time around, haha.

Today, I ordered the cardamom vanilla latte and asked for it to be less sweet, it was perfect. My partner got the pistachio latte and absolutely loved it. This is a staple spot for us, with excellent options for both vegans and non-vegans alike.

The location was nice and fortunately there was plenty of free, non-metered parking available. When you walk in, the pastries are displayed at the entrance, with the menu mounted above them. I didn't notice the menu at first--maybe I'm just too short lol . The pastry selection looked fresh and delicious, and I spent a few seconds looking at the pastries to decide what I wanted. Unfortunately, the cashier seemed very impatient and quickly directed me to the register before I had a chance to finish looking at either the pastries or the menu. There wasn't anyone waiting behind me, so I was disappointed to feel rushed. Wanting to be an easygoing customer, I moved to the register even though I still hadn't decided what to order. From the register, all I could see was one a menu listing various juices. I wrongfully assumed they were freshly made because they were listed on the menu rather than displayed in a grab-and-go refrigerator or shelf like a standard coffee shop. Instead, I received a small 8-ounce bottled juice from a local producer, which was perfectly fine but if I had an opportunity to view the menu before ordering, I would have realized there were many more options, including specialty coffee drinks, matcha , smoothies?, and other beverages that I would have much rather chosen. I ended up ordering the green onion and potato frittata along with the bottled juice. I had originally planned to stay and work for a bit, but the seating was limited and the non-friendly atmosphere just wasn't for me, so I headed to my car to check e-mails. The frittata was good, and I appreciated that the lady warmed it up for me. It was somewhat enjoyable but could have used a bit more seasoning or flavor. The $7.00 8oz beverage was delicious so I drank it in about 10 seconds. I wish they carried larger size amounts at least because I was actually pretty thirsty. As for the atmosphere, it simply wasn't my cup of tea. My personal impression was that the café had a fairly homogeneous crowd, and I didn't feel particularly welcomed or comfortable. Others may have a completely different experience, but it just wasn't for me. The vibe was very much "I hella love Oakland but I only reside, spend money and visit the white communities of Oakland." Overall, the frittata was Good but lacking in flavour, the parking was convenient, but I wish I had been given a little time to browse the menu before ordering because their beverages look delicious. The customer service is not terrible or non-existent-just not warm or welcoming.

We went mainly for drinks and tried a latte, tiramisu latte, and a Spanish latte. The tiramisu latte and Spanish latte were both really good and definitely my favorites. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. You can tell the coffee quality is solid. We also tried the matcha drinks in vanilla and strawberry. I liked the strawberry matcha more. It comes unsweetened, so I asked for it to be sweetened and it was great after that. The vanilla matcha was fine too, just not my top pick. They're also dropping a new Ramadan drink soon, a date latte, which sounds really good and I'll probably come back just to try that. Overall, great drinks and a nice place to hang out.

I loved the ambiance, it felt we was in another country. The place was packed I have no idea where everyone parked haha. Very hard to find parking. The Adeni Chai I had was wonderful and I would get again. The lemon pastries I had were good & I would possibly get again. Both cheese pastries & meat pocket I didnt care for so much. I undetstand they are an acquired taste but me being Middle Eastern we have our own versions and I think that's why I didn't like as much. I would definitely go back and try more sweet pastries. They had a large selection I couldn't try them all haha. I would love to try more tea and coffee options as well. Go and try out several different pastries and discover what you like. It's cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to try another countries culture and delights. They also have outside seating which is especially nice on a beautiful day. Pro tip: take an Uber if you can. Parking is hard to get.
