We ventured over to Oakland for some dinner, but decided to stop for coffee first. Service was speedy. I ordered an iced banana latte and my love ordered a cappuccino. The latte was yummy with just a hint if banana. I think the capp was enjoyed as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables and chairs were dirty and the coffee shop felt on the warm side to me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but overall it was nice.

Banana latte and matcha were amazing. Coffee cake was a little stale even after being warmed up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]nice seating area inside, but twice homeless people came up to us and asked for money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I love Tierra Mia! Coming from LA, I would always get their caramel frappe, so I'm glad they have locations in the Bay Area. The drinks are consistently delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only complaint is that there aren't any outlets, so it may not be the best place to study or work for a long time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stumbled upon this place on my way to los Angeles surprisingly nothing was open in oakland at 6 am [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute ambiance love the culture history it provides.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was basically small bakery items. Would've loved to see a little more food options, especially since they are open early. I would assume they draw more traffic. Service was great until it wasn't. I asked for whipped cream on my coffee which I assumed came with a Mexican mocha. You would've thought I was asking for other girls first born however, I did get some whipped cream put on a lid and then placed back on my coffee. The girl had an ugly look on her face however the girl that rang me up in the red blouse and the guy with a lime green and white blouse made my drink I believe were super nice.

Stopped by at around 8am for a quick coffee and there was not many people. The service was quick and friendly. I tried the horchata latte and it was delicious, not too sweet, just the perfect blend. I also had the almond croissant and it was the best croissant I have had. My sister got the banana latte and it was truly amazing as well. You can really taste the banana.

Tierra Mia Coffee is a wonderful cafe with delicious drinks and pastries that bring the community together. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As I came on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy and bustling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The baristas and workers have a great system in place to keep moving orders along. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating inside, but it does get pretty cramped with the large crowd rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I decided to try the mazapan peanut frappe as I love mazapan and was intrigued by how it would taste in a drink. I was pleasantly surprised by how creamy and sweet it was! The peanut gives a slight salty and nutty flavor profile to the drink. I really enjoyed it! Overall, I would love to come back and try more of their drinks!

I love this coffee shop! I travel from afar to buy coffee on the weekends with the hubby whenever we are craving some good espresso! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is phenomenal and the ambiance is always calm/chill![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 100/100 recommend Tierra Mia to all my family and friends! Order Coffee bags to go! You won't regret it!

I like coming here whenever I get the chance. I always get anything Mexican Chocolate related because I love it in drinks. I got a small and finished it. When I'm nearby and want coffee I always come here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have sufficient tables which I think people who love working at cafes would benefit from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Def recommend to try!

I was early for a meeting, so decided to pop in for a coffee. Established in 2008, this is the only NorCal location of this SoCal based coffee chain, which features Latin inspired drinks. Even though the ceiling looked run down, the chandeliers, plants, wooden furniture, and Latin music made the space cozy. There was construction going on right outside, but the noise wasn't too noticeable. I saw a stack of boxes behind the register from Starter Bakery, so they probably source most (if not all) their pastries from there. There was a short line but it moved quickly and it didn't take long for me to receive my latte. Throughout the time I was there, there was a steady line of customers so it seemed like a local favorite. I ordered a small Horchata Latte with whole milk ($5.25). I asked the cashier, and he said it was on the sweeter side. He suggested 50% sweetness, which I went with. +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Not too sweet: Creamy and nutty w/cinnamon -Espresso could be stronger. -All drinks served in paper to-go cups with paper sleeves: Ceramic mugs would be a great option for people who want to stay. -No latte art Side notes: 1.) Restrooms available for customers. 2.) Outlets available 3.) Self-serve napkins and condiments 4.) Across the street from Uptown Transit Center Verdict: 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 d/t service. The cashier with a man bun was really friendly. Since the menu is just a placard next the cashier, you can't see it unless if you're there. He didn't rush anyone and told them to take their time. In addition, he asked if it was my first time (it was), offered recommendations, and thanked me after I ordered. Even though it's not the best horchata latte I've had (my fave one is in Berkeley), the friendly service and cozy vibes make me want to return the next time I'm in the area!

I recently started working down the street and am trying to find a solid coffee spot. I stopped in on a Thursday morning and was pleased to see it was poppin'. It's not quiet, so I wouldn't recommend coming here for focus work, but there's lots of seating and a few communal tables that were being used. They have a large drink menu and I got the horchata latte and two pastries. I think I would have loved the pastries warmed up, so that's my fault for saying no, but they were flavorful room temp. And I really liked the horchata latte. Prices were reasonable and I'll definitely be back!

Stopped by on a Friday morning. I have not been here in over 5 years but I'm so glad I came back today. We got the horchata lattes and they are just as delicious as I remember them to be. Definitely will be back again. They also have really good frappes as well. Kind staff, nice location and lots of seating inside and WiFi. Love supporting my local Oakland businesses :)

I got an espresso. I wouldn't go back for espresso. It had crema but the flavor was burnt and bitter, 2/5. If you're looking for espresso alone, try the place down the street kinfolx.

The interior makes one feel that you are in a high end cafe with its beautiful decor. Some many items to choose from, the person taking my order was very helpful in explaining the different kinds of drinks and pastries. Ordered the Ginger Honey Jobani as a hot drink, Biscoff Milkcake, Honeycomb, and a Beef Fatayer. There were several kinds of milkcakes which would have the texture like a tres leches cake. The Honeycomb had pockets of cream cheese and was drizzles with honey. The Meat Fatayer is like an empanada. The food and drink were very tasty. Highly recommend to stop by Sanaa Cafe and experience it. Their website shows more cafe openings in the future!
