Saw a reel on instagram and new i had to try this place out. Drove 30 min from calabasas and boy I'm glad i did. We ordered the big joe and it was absolutely amazing. Friendly owner, Amazing service, answered all my questions about their menu and the food got out in a timely manner. Unique experience on a classic nostalgic childhood staple for me. Great flavor throughout my big Joe burger. Their tangy bbq sauce is great too. I will say I wish the sloppy Joe mix was hot instead of warm but this did not take away from a great experience. Okay I need to talk about this smashburger because I haven't stopped thinking about it since I left. Smashburger uses 100% Wagyu beef and the difference is immediately obvious. That hard sear on Wagyu fat creates this insane crust that's crispy, buttery, and so deeply savory it almost doesn't feel real. Like... this is what a smashburger is supposed to be. The flavor stayed with me through the whole meal and honestly still is. Top five things I've eaten this year, no exaggeration. The beef tallow fries? Also not messing around. Fried in actual tallow, so they have this old-school, beefy richness that vegetable oil fries will never have. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, and I ate every last one without shame. My wife and I were craving burgers and this was the highest rated in the area. I got the big joe which is a sloppy joe and burger combined, it's was honestly a unique dish that others do not offer. My wife got the sloppy dog and that was perfectly balanced with tots! The icing on the cake is that they are fired in beef tallow which i haven't had before and it was amazing.
