It is a nice cozy place. I was not here ling. The music was great. They played a good mixture of eras. The place has a small dance area. The music vibe was good. People were dancing and having a good time. Finding parking if you come in the evening time was challenging. The place is in a plaza with not enough parking spaces. You have to look for the entrance of this place door. It is a little hidden if you come from the parking area. I was here for an hour or so. I was sitting by the bar the entire time. Good place to come to watch the games. One thing that I enjoyed most - that other establishments fail to do- is that they had each tv assigned a game before customers arrived. Makes the most sense and staff isn't having to figure out what game to play at the last minute. The bar is well set up with ample seating indoors and outdoors. Food is a bit pricy and was ok overall. I DJ'd there and for an agreed fee of $200 bucks for 4 hours. I ended up DJing 6 hours and said don't worry about it I just want the $200 The owner "Twiggy" kept saying she had a check for me and after two weeks or so the check was never there. High marks for Hijinks Sports Grill! It was a step above the usual sports bars I've been to in Florida. First, despite being in a fairly large crowd (I was there with friends to watch the Euro 2020 soccer tournament), the noise level wasn't overpowering. The ceilings are high, the bar hight chairs and the booths equally comfortable. Even though we ate and drank inside (to better watch the TVs), I appreciated the option of the outdoor covered patio. As you might expect, the beer list was extensive- something for everyone! The menu was surprisingly broad and all of our food was well prepared and tasty. The wings are served "dry" with an assortment of dipping sauces. They were perfectly cooked - not at all greasy. The "Tex-Mex" egg rolls were excellent. The menu highlights their burgers - a great choice; they were big, tasty and perfectly prepared. The was a great selection of salads, and they are all quite large. Finally, I can't sign off on this review without commenting on the bartenders and servers. They were knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations on the large beer list and were attentive and friendly without pushing. It doesn't hurt that they are all really attractive. We went to Hijinks to watch the Panthers play game 4 in the Stanley Cup. We were hoping to see some of the pregame, but instead, we are watching Jeopardy on the televisions even after asking several times to have the sound of the pregame. Not exactly what we were hoping for. The music is loud, so if you are forced to bring friends you don't like, then this is the place for you! If you have not had a pretzel at Hijinks, you have not lived a full life. These things are bucket list caliber pretzels. Get ready to be disappointed by every other pretzel you eat anywhere else. I will only eat pretzel at Hijinks!! Great service, outstanding food, fantastic place to watch games with good friends! But wow, the PRETZELS! Never had such great pretzels, they came out so fresh that the dough had just finished rising. You can see the baking process settling down as they sit on the table. These girls look at you sitting at a table just arrived, or entire table empty drinks and they NEVER come over. I'm sitting here now waiting for someone to come to my table... and it's been 10 mins. There is 8 ladies running around. It's honestly funny how terrible the service is. A lot of the gals are very sweet, everyone is beautiful, and there is not another bar around the area like this. I just wish these gals would just be more attentive. We always tip 20-25% bc we are not assholes, but owner please for the love of all that is holy get your team together for goodness sake. Came to Hijinks to watch the Florida Panther Stanley Cup Final. Everyone wanted to watch the pre-game show. It's a normal thing to do before a game. Hijinks refused to put the pre-game show on. Instead, they continued to blast music while having Jeopardy on. For a place that serves mediocre food at best, they need to do better. Service wasn't the best either. Overall a pretty good place. Outside bar area, but once the sun sets it's a bug fest. Change your can lights out for LED lights or don't turn them on. The food is ok. Baked wings awesome! Crab Rangoon where is the crab? Lobster bisque very tasty. The mahi was excellent. Our bartender Rae was awesome. Don't know why SoFlo doesn't get an empty beer at the edge means I need another beer. It was a toss up between Hooters, Duffys, and Hijinks for sports bars. I picked Hijinks only to be disappointed. Negative energy by the bartender staff aside from the blonde :( Then they complained about tip but got order wrong, was rude, didn't smile, and tried taking food away before we finished. It's not considered high class to just put mozzarella sticks on a bed of lettuce . The best part of the whole thing was DJ, Beer, and TVs. Hijinks is my new favorite place! Came in on a Sunday right at opening time at 11:30am. Was warmly greeted by a manager and then a friendly bartender named Rosie, she is the best! I ordered the bottomless mimosas and they were made just right, champagne to the top and a dash of OJ. ( I may have had a bit too many as their $14 bottomless special runs until 4pm!) I had heard great things about their grilled wings so I asked Rosie for an order of those with a side of the Hot Parm Garlic sauce. The wings came out quickly and grilled to perfection with a dry rub on them. These are seriously some of the best wings I have EVER had, I can't wait to come back and order them again. The bar area started to pick up shortly after arrival and by 12:30 pm, the place was packed. There were 3 or 4 bartenders on serving all the customers. Each was super friendly and attentive, not to mention super attractive. The restaurant is large and accommodating. It is clean and welcoming. Perfect place for to watch the games and enjoy some good food and beverages. They have happy hour Monday- Friday from 4-7pm with $2 off beer, wine, and liquor. They also have daily specials. Monday is 1/2 off martinis and sliders and $5 Stoli mule of the day. Tuesday is $5 Tito's, Milagro Tequila, and Patron Tequila, $3 Corona, and 1/2 off chili nachos, chicken quesadillas and chicken tacos. Wednesday is 1/2 off wine bottles, $2 off glasses of wine, $5 Hillbilly Whisky, 1/2 off select appetizers- fried ravioli, grilled artichokes, and pot stickers. My experience at this establishment lasted no more than 15 minutes. The entire time I sat waiting to be served. Note, it was not busy, there was only one other occupied table outside. When we walked in, the waitress was taking the order from them. I waited and waited, watching them flutter about in the bar, staring at us, yet no one came to serve us. Is it because we were people of color that we were extended the same courtesy? From one business owner to the next, I recommend this review be taken seriously because your staff is young and inexperienced. Your staff is the face of your business and by extension you. For all who reads this review, we were treated better at American Social in Mizner park! This deserves not even one star as there was no service. read more
