This bar has been one of our stand by's with very friendly staff who are attentive, good food and a large selection of draft beer that's kept well and fresh. There is indoor and outdoor bar space. It's usually a place we rely on to watch sports events but this past weekend, we came to watch the Stanley Cup Finals and settled in on the patio in front of the bar with a drink and TV when a group came in with a few kids and sat across the patio - we were told they had "reservations" to watch the Knicks game and they turned our TV into Jeopardy (?!) while turning on the Knicks for the group on another set. It was out past knowledge that The Irishmen was first come first serve no reservations but perhaps that's changed. We left and watched the game at Biergarten which was fine. A great place but just beware if you're there to see a certain game you may or may not be able to. read more

At the beginning of August came here for the first time because i found out Uproot Hootenany band is performing here and love their fun music! Braving the bad tropical rain bands and wind, drove up from Miami to kick back and relax and try this new spot out! Immediately it's got a relaxing vibe inside with lots of tables and a small performing stage. Since they were loud I opted to sit at the jam packed bar. Ordered a Guiness (non alcoholic since it's a long drive home in iffy weather). They had an interesting appetizer on menu of an Irishmen egg rolls but the bartender tod me they ran out that one. I opted for a healthy fish dish and a side of veggies! Ok it was battered and fries but still tastey especially with the sauces and I ordered a side of steam brocolli as well. There were leftovers to take home. This is a cool place and I can see myself coming back. It seems popular as the band kept performing later past 10pm a large party of 8 stolled in and put high tables together and placed their order of drinks and food. The band was having so much fun they played all the way up to 11pm and their very last song they got off the stage and set up in the aisle between the booths and tables to do perform around the patrons. A great neighborhood bar and grill. I have been in many times but I guess never got around to a review. We topped in the other day after work. A buddy from out of town was asking for a sports bar and I was able to remember the Irishmen had a alot of TV's with the games on. We came in around 8pm and a band was just starting up. It was a couple fellas that were pretty dang good, playing country. One guy even played a bit of mandolin. Our bartender was on his game, and had the drinks over not soon after us sitting down. The game we wanted wasn't on a TV we could see but we asked and they got one set for us. It was a good time, we had a couple drinks. The Irishmen is a trusty bar grill that you can count on to come through with a decent night out. We'll be back soon enough for sure. read more

I found the Irishmen when I first moved to Boca and have been coming back ever since. The food is great and reasonably priced to begin with, but then you get specials 5 nights a week making the prices even more reasonable. The servers and bartenders are all very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Live music on Friday nights is along with Trivia on Wednesday nights give you plenty to enjoy. If you want a little quiet, sit outside and enjoy the weather. read more

We came for lunch on a Friday and sat inside at the bar. There were a lot of folks on the outside patio -- from nearby businesses -- and it was too hot for us to comfortably dine outside. The gal inside was working the bar as well as the few other occupied tables nearby. She occasionally had to help the gal covering the outside, too. We told her she should be getting paid by her steps! It really was too big an area to cover. My husband got the Irish sliders. Corn beef mini sandwiches that had red cabbage on them. The meat was thickly sliced. I'm not sure the sweeter red cabbage really went with it -- sauerkraut or coleslaw would have been better. He said it was just okay. I got a cup of signature potato soup. Unfortunately it was served lukewarm. I took most of it home. Later when I zapped it in the microwave, the cheese melted and blended in with the garnishes of bacon and scallions and it was pretty good... but not when I first tried it at the bar. I also got an appetizer order of chicken fingers. This came with two sauces -- a bbq one and a mustard based one. The chicken was great. A huge portion covering the plate and perfectly cooked. Even though they were fried, they weren't greasy. I was glad I ordered these. I'd like to come again and try some of their Irish specialties and see what was being featured. We were kind of on our own ordering and the gal was so busy that we weren't able to spend any time asking questions. read more

I went to the Irishman on St. Patrick's Day and based upon the front façade, I was going to not go in. I parked in the parking lot and went in the back way and was amazed how nice this Irish bar was. It was very entertaining. early in the afternoon there were businessmen there were families everybody was enjoying themselves. This service was terrific. Just got home from a Father's Day lunch. What a surprise. The food was great, cool bar vibe and much to my surprise the ex bar crew from P.F. Chang's were running the show. Awesome pub! Great and friendly staff! We go a few times a week for lunch, drinks and dinner. (We get outta here in the summer months.) Beautiful inside and large covered patio area. Music, tv's, darts and trivia, etc., and good fun. Good for birthdays and office parties. Huge downside though... The woman's restroom is gross although the toilet seat looks new. A coat of paint is needed AT THE VERY LEAST. Make the restroom as awesome as the pub. read more

I will evaluate it on the following criteria: 1) Price: Fair 2) Food Quality: Mediocre bar food. 3) Service: Our server frankly was extremely subpar, as she barely came back to the table and didn't seem to care about my party all that much at all. 4) Decor: The place itself wasn't bad. 5) Clientele: College students and some rogues. I am very far from a 'bar guy.' I went with a few colleagues who like the bar scene. To me, it was a 'run of the mill' neighborhood watering hole and some of the clientele did not seem very classy. All Sports Bars are not the same. The Irishmen is a bit above most. The menu is broad - plenty of choices, including some excellent weekend brunch mains. (All include a Bloody Mary, Mimosa or Coffee.). The corned beef hash is homemade and there is plenty of beef. The french toast is creamy and tasty. Their burger is really good, but the "Irish Pub" entrees are great - fish & chips, bangers & mash and shepherd's pie (actually cottage pie, since it is made with beef instead of lamb). We are the Irishman for the first time last week. Their French onion soup was delicious! They have a variety of food options to choose from for every type of eater. The service was great and our food / drinks came fast. The inside of Irishmen is clean and a great option to go to with your family for dinner or to grab drinks with friends to watch a sports game. We've been to Irishmen maybe a dozen times. It's become one of our go-to spots in Boca. We bring our service animal Miller, who enjoys the rice and grilled chicken, which the restaurant prepares for him. Just found this place. Ordered the Mozzarella bites & the Potato bites. Potato bites were amazing!! The wings here are fresh not frozen so Ron had to get his "signature wings" that he orders a specific way. He said they're the best. We stopped in here this afternoon for brunch, they have it on the weekends from 11 AM to 3 PM. There are only a couple of brunch options, but you could also order from the standard menu which looked pretty good. Sometimes we come up to Boca Raton to shop at the mall, which is small dog friendly. I'm always looking to try new restaurants that are pet friendly and have a large covered patio. There is a good amount of outdoor seating at Irishmen. We each opted to go with the brunch option. My husband had corned beef hash, this came with the option of bloody mary, coffee or mimosa. I had the french toast, it was good, but next time I will ask them to make it a bit crispier. The regular menu looked really good, they definitely have some vegetarian friendly choices. The appetizers and flat breads look appealing to me, we will have to come back to try it! There appeared to be some good drink or beer specials available, but we didn't partake. Our total bill for the 2 mimosas and breakfasts totaled $23 (including taxes) plus tip. There is an attached parking lot, so it should be easy enough to secure a spot. I've frequented The Irishmen on and off for close to five years, since it's not far from my office. I've never had a bad experience there for lunch as that's when I usually go. I'm a sucker for their wings and buffalo chicken fingers. I dig their fish and chips with a pint of cider. I like the ceiling a lot, which looks like this heavy wood that could fall on you but won't. The service staff is friendly and fast. They have a nice area allotted for darts -- three dart boards set up for tournaments and such. Saturday night, friends wanted to watch the UFC fight. Now, I hate any type of fighting sport (boxing, UFC) they just give me a headache and make me feel bad but, majority rules plus we were hungry and thought they would leave at least one TV with the Heat's game on. Unfortunately that wasn't the case... As soon as the fights started all TVs were tuned to that. I had a huge big screen right in front of me. I tried concentrating on my food, and talking to the other one in our group not interested in the fights. They had beer specials, domestic at 5 for $10, and imported at 5 for $15. We started with that and, to eat, I went with the Cheese Burger with Cheddar Cheese for $8.95. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onions - non for me, thx- fries and a pickle on the side. I ordered it medium-well, it was not dry, good flavor... I was happy with it. We were told they had beer pong tables, and darts but because of the UFC these were not available that night. There goes my other distraction/ entertainment until the fights were over so, when a big punch was shown in slow motion, with everything that comes with it, I just had to get my check and go. Thankfully, our waitress was good at dividing our orders, and was quick to process my credit card. Good service. Irishmen is kind of hidden away, which makes me think there'll be a lot of local people and less of the "look at me" crowd. I just had lunch at this place. The outside female bartender was extremely sweet. The inside female bartender had the personality of a horses a_s. She was rude, short, and was actually wearing a shirt from another bar which I thought was crazy...funky Buddha. This bartender continued to leave the main bar to go fraternize with other employees (the outside bartender) constantly.
