First time here. The sushi was decent. Over all the restruant was a bit warm inside. We ordered a few different rolls. Prices were reasonable. Not sure if I would return here. The service was a bit slow and they weren't that busy.

The service started off as great as we were only once in the restaurant but as soon more people started showing up after us we didn't get much service as needed but staff super friendly! The food was great and the restaurant is super clean and cute inside! Would def come again and maybe give it the 5 stars it deserves

We enjoyed so much this ramel !!!!!

Ok, I'm updating my last review from take out to dine in. Last time my daughter and I got take out this time we were on our way to OC after work on Friday. It was about 6:30 when we arrived. We waited a bit to be seated, we were about the 5th table to be seated not crowded at all for a Friday then before you know it, its packed. We waited forever to get drinks. Then when we order drinks they didn't have a Boba drink available ok we ordered something else. We started placing our sushi order and the waitress come back saying they don't have an item. Ok fine I ask what other options she replies I don't know the menu is right there pointing at the menu on the table... my daughter and son with their eyes wide open lol I replied with wow, great service here. Then she says I dont know what options, ok! There was 1 young man with curly hair who seemed to have potential the rest were terrible servers from the young man to the short girl. The service wouldn't of been so terrible if it was worth the wait but when you wait forever and get terrible service its bad either way no justification in coming back. There was an older man who came by asking how everything was but before engaging he walks away with his hands behind his back, very fast paced older man. I can imagine he was pry a great sushi chef , he must invest in his crew and help them with etiquette, if passing a table ask if anything is needed. We waited again at least 15 minutes for a server to bring chopsticks, the sushi wasn't even that good, service was terrible and staff walked swiftly everywhere avoiding calls from tables. I would not recommend nor waste time or money in coming back. My kids ordered spam musabi and they didn't like it, they said spam taste weird and they need eel sauce. Carpaccio was plain, i wanted citrus flavor but it was blan. I rather go to Sho Gun across the way. Ambiance needs improvement.

My new to go spot, afternoon cold beer and sushi!!! Stopped in for a cold Sapporo on a warm afternoon, and it was exactly what I needed. Crisp, refreshing, and perfectly chilled -- the ultimate thirst quencher. The restaurant has a great vibe: cozy yet lively, with a touch of character that makes you want to linger. Owner Kai couldn't have been nicer -- welcoming, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the place. Service was warm without being overbearing. Will I be back? Absolutely. This is officially my new afternoon ritual spot for fresh sushi and a cold beer. Can't wait for the next visit!

We came in at night so food came out fast service good, the place had pretty decor inside. The food was tasteful and made in a good portion. Great place to eat at night when every other place is closing up!:)

String beans were salty. Rolls are overly dressed and salty. They forgot to give me wasabi when they served sushi. They forgot to give me tonkatsu sauce when I ordered tonkatsu. When I ordered sushi specifically sharing I am looking for a roll with yellowtail, and menu shows the roll has yellowtail. However, when the order came, there was no yellowtail. At least they refunded me the order. The servers are friendly and courteous so that's a plus.

    hikari ramen, spicy Edamame
    Yvette V.

After being turned away from two other ramen spots near this restaurant for their "kitchen being closed" although we came 30-45 mins before their posted closing time we came across this hidden gem. The main reason for such a high rating is because they stay open until 1 am on Saturdays, when I came in I was immediately greeted and sat. Coke was nice and crisp. I ordered the garlic spicy edamame which was really just edamame drizzled in that sweet spicy chili sauce which I've never experienced before not chili oil...We also had the baked mussels those were good and the spicy ramen which was pretty good, the pork was aight I've had better but there were no eggs in the ramen but overall it was a good experience and I will be back

    Is it ayce?

No, it is not. Individual rolls only.

Is there a happy hour or AYCE here?

    this restaurant is not AYCE.

Is this place like Ricky Sushi on mag ilia that closed down?

No, Ricky Sushi is much better.

    Do they have omakase?

    No.

How do I use the Get one 50% at equal value or less value when ordering food for pickup using Doordash/Grubhub?

i am sorry there is no option for BOGO 50% on door dash or grubhub. But we will prepare another similar promotion on it. We have to use only their flatform for discount. thats why.

Are they serving ramen? Don't see it in their menu.

They are getting ready for the ramen at this moment. I believe it will take another week or so. I suggest to make a call to confirm before to make the order

Do you offer all you can eat? How much?

sorry, we only have special discount Buy one Get one 50% at equal value or less value. We have right price to serve better quality food. I am so proud of my fish and ramen…

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.

Let's just say its good that they offer a wide variety of sushi, rolls, and ramen but the flavor is under par. Plus the high prices make it hard to enjoy. Indoor restaruant was dark and didn't have a bright welcoming ambiance. Staff was quick to speak to us and get us seated which was good. The Crunch Onion Albacore was around $18 and it was Ok tasting. I have had fresher albacore before. Their avocado salad $8 was surprisingly tasty so I will definitely get this one again. Apparenlty they charge $3 for a side of white rice. Their Tonkotsu ramen for $16 was OK as well. Not hot ramen but served a bit lukewarm. Not sure what was going on but in a way I can eat it right away but I am used to having it piping hot with steam and a richer flavor. Also got their green tea $3.50 and ice water but the service in refilling the water was slow, especcially with an empty restaurant. Yikes! All in all, it was my first time here. I did see them having a Happy Hour special so I will try that next time.

It is a fairly small dining room. Six booths of four max, six tables of four, and one table for six. No outdoor dining. While I was dining, there were lots of take out orders. I ordered the Golden tiger roll and teriyaki chicken plate with peach soju. I do not eat sushi but decided to get something only a little adventurous. The shrimp tempura, cream cheese and avocado with crab meat was divine. The presentation of the roll was beautiful. I didn't have to worry about the sauces as they were placed upon the top. Thankfully I was able to eat each piece in one bite. The roll was cut into nine pieces. So much more than I thought I would receive. Since I am not used to eating this type of food, I wasn't sure I could safely consume it the following day so I made sure to eat it all. I really enjoyed it. The teriyaki chicken was served on a hot skillet. So flavorful. I took the majority of the chicken and rice for lunch the next day. I came back a few weeks later and it was much calmer. The service was great both times. I would recommend it.

Signed up on their waiting list and waiting for about 30 mins before we got a table. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SECOND!! This is what we ordered: 1. XLB - 10/10 - freshly made, soup was very tasty, the filling was very flavorful. It gave DTF a run for their money. No need for ginger. Dip this in some chili oil and soy sauce and you're in for a treat! 2. Pork shiumai - 6/10 - it was good but not the best I've had. My least fave. 3. Schezuan eggplant - 11/10 - the best schezuan eggplant dish I've had. Fresh off from the wok so be careful eating this coz it is temperature hot. The flavor was full of umami, sweet, salty, and that sauce is heavenly!! 4. Cucumber salad - 10/10. Love the crispiness and garlic flavor of this app. Liked the addition of cilantro. 5. Garlic string beans - another 11/10 - it was a full plate of this all time fave of ours. Cooked to perfection!! Again a little touch of some salted black beans that added more umami flavor. 6. Dan Dan noodles - 10/10 - I'm a big fan of DD noodles and this was delish!! Love the freshness of the noodles and right balance of ground meat and flavor was spot on!! 7. House special chicken wings - 10/10. crispy, sweet, little tangy and BOMB! Lots of parking it's in a strip mall!! This place is legit! Service was great. Their response was "we did" There was an empty seat that I could've just sat at because I went by myself and started eating sooner but because their lack of acknowledgment I waited 15 mins ... I really wanted to hope for the best that's why I waited. Then after being told to sit where I knew I'd sit, then my server was kind, but took a while to check up to see if I needed anything (I'm a sauce girl so I ask for eel and chili sauce at any restaurant that has it) instead I asked another server because mine was no where to be seen. Now, the food..... the tempura was delicious but for the price wtf is 3 pieces...????? Like EXCUSE ME???? 12 bucks and 3 pieces? Come the f on - You have a huge restaurant I'm sure you can afford one or two more pieces - okay those were good - probably my favorite thing I got. I got a fruity iced tea that was good x Now the dumplingsssss BRUH I got the beef and onion because I asked what were the best dumplings. They tasted like Trader Joe's dumplings man, I've made better dumplings at my home reheating them. I give the dumplings 4/10 with eel and chili oil and paste I give them a 6... but really good dumplings shouldn't need all of that. Needless to say, I happily won't be making the out of the way trip for this place ever again. With how busy and popular this place is online I guess I had expected better. Anyways if you want dumplings better than this get some at Trader Joe's cook them lightly on water with eel sauce to make a nice broth or used chicken / beef broth to heat them up. Youll save yourself the $50 of going out and waiting on yourself and disappointing dumplings.

Overall we had a great experience and would definitely be back when we are in town! FYI their noodles are served thick by default but you can opt for thin noodles which we did!

However, I decided to try it again and it's remodeled inside and the sushi tasted great. The rice tasted freshly made. The prices are average, $15 and up. There was only one person inside serving us and she was awesome. She made sure our waters were full and that we were ok. It's a small place with dance music playing in the background and seating outside.

Our server was friendly and attentive. It took awhile for our food to arrive. I think it's because they had a large party there and lots of to-go orders. Here's my review of the food. Tonkotsu Ramen - This was a miss. The broth looked creamy but was on the bland watery side. The noodles were over cooked and too soft, though the texture worked out for my girl who just got brace brackets. The chashu was not tender enough and was thin and chewy. Tiger Roll - Large cut roll. It was delish. I liked the crunchy shrimp inside. The drizzled sauces were on point. Customize Your Poke Bowl, 3-Protein - This was tasty and gave a lot, looked more than what my daughter got in her 5-protein bowl. I ordered it with salmon, shrimp, and tako (though I ordered the scallops). They put plenty in my bowl. Customize Your Poke Bowl, 5-Protein - My older daughter was disappointed because the amount of protein she got looked less than mine. Hers was all salmon but looked like three scoops than five. She's had poke bowls at other places before, but this one lacked. Food: 3.0 Service: 4.0 Ambience: 4.0 Cleanliness: 4.5 Rating Total: 3.9 Not sure if we would go back there. Maybe for the custom bowl I had.
