We got 5 rolls, all were amazing, and the seafood soup was excellent. Made my day, will definitely be back!

When you walk in, the restaurant is immediately calming and inviting. The chef gave us treats to begin and end our meal. And, the sushi rolls were amazing. Their seafood soup was just what I needed today. Everyone was polite and friendly. Will definitely visit again!

My experience with Hikaru sushi was a good experience. It was my first time going to this establishment and I wanted to be able to find a new place to be able to experience Ramen especially a pork flavored soup base Ramen. The air is a small little Ramen/sushi bar establishment. I like the colorful and detail to Asian culture specifically Japanese. The facilities was clean and the food was great I really enjoyed having the sushi rolls and having the Ramen noodles.

Ordered a variety of rolls from Spicy Crunch Tuna Roll, California Roll, Chicken Teriyaki Roll, Chicken Tempura Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, Spicy Fried Crab Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll to Salmon Sushi & all were amazing! Great restaurant and staff - can't wait to order again!

Come to Hikaru for the AYCE sushi. For children 12 and under, it will only cost $12.95. For all other ages, it will be $19.95. They don't have many sushi chefs and the two that were working when we went were working at a snail's pace so make sure you allot enough time if you're on a schedule. What totally weirded me out was the fact that we sat at the sushi bar yet had to order directly from the waiter. The AYCE menu includes a number of appetizer options, rolls and nigiri. Their nigiri are oddly super small which only meant we had to order more than usual. You can play dumb and ask for less rice but they will also give you less of the sashimi so the rice to sashimi proportion is equal. The sashimi tasted average. It definitely wasn't fresh. Out of all the rolls we had, I'd recommend the Mt. Fuji Roll. It's a cut roll with spicy shrimp and eel and topped with tempura flakes. The mixture of the spicy shrimp with the sweet eel sauce and the texture of the crunchy tempura flakes all came together wonderfully. What was the most disappointing was the Rainbow Roll. The roll is supposed to be topped with sashimi and avocado but it was more so covered with avocado. Not to mention the roll was already stuffed with some of it. A bit of a disappointment since it was the last thing we ordered. With the price point and all of the options you can choose from, I'd have to say this place isn't so bad. Don't expect out of this world quality because it is AYCE after all. NOTE: You can order online! Free delivery with a minimum order of $15.00.

California roll, tuna roll, avocado roll. Very good!

Yeah this is a new regular for me, for sure! I got the lunch special: 3 rolls for $11. I didn't realize at first, but it comes with soup and a salad as well. I got a California roll, tuna roll, and avocado roll. Everything was great! The salad was wonderful with the dressing and the rolls were all so good! I only ate about half since it was so filling! The soup wasn't a hit with me, but I think that's just a personal taste thing. I ordered out, but the atmosphere was lovely inside. The store front looks sketchy, but inside is very nice.

Simple, quiet, clean. Food average to good. Prices average. Good for a quick lunch. Located in a strip mall so parking isn't a problem.

I brought my wife here for our post-birth sushi date after hyping it up to her for months, and it did not disappoint. It's always great to be warmly greeted when you walk in and invited to grab a seat. Our server took our orders and gave us some excellent recommendations. My personal favorite is the Angry Dragon Roll, but we also had the Honey Roll, and the sleeper hit of the day: the Jersey Devil. That last one wasn't our first choice, but the server suggested it--and we're so glad we listened. We started with crispy noodles served with duck sauce and hot mustard while we waited. We also ordered two sodas to accompany the meal. When the sushi arrived, it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the first bite, the Angry Dragon was packed with flavor. The shrimp tempura and fresh mango combo is a win every time. The Honey Roll was just as fresh, with beautifully prepared shrimp. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was plated immaculately. But the real surprise was the Jersey Devil. It was deep-fried, still warm, but somehow not mushy at all. The inside stayed intact, giving each bite a perfect texture. By the end of the meal, we were stuffed and had no room left for dessert. Bonus: Don't forget the daily buy 2, get 1 free deal on specialty rolls--makes for an affordable, high-quality date. 5/5 stars--definitely coming back for more.

What I love most is that the sushi isn't buried under sauces and toppings because it's so tasty, there's no reason to cover it up. The fish is fresh and clean tasting, as sushi should be. Cream cheese on top of sushi? If one sees that on your sushi menu, turn around quickly and dart out the door - it's just a camouflage of the not so recently caught fish. After falling in love with sushi during visits to Kyoto and Tokyo, I'm pretty picky about my fish, and Sabi never disappoints. The restaurant is cozy, with a small sushi bar that makes it perfect for date night or a low key dinner with friends. The sake martinis are excellent, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Doug, the owner and chef, and his elegant wife are wonderful hosts and make everyone feel welcome. Another bonus: they're open on Mondays, which is surprisingly hard to find in the restaurant world of Piermont. If you're looking for fresh, straightforward sushi without all the gimmicks, Sabi is well worth the trip to Piermont.

That said, if you're craving raw fish it's convenient for a Piermont resident, affordable, easy to get a table, and takeout is always an option. A lot of the menu leans toward rolls drenched in heavy sauces which makes it hard to tell just how fresh the fish really is... or isn't. But if you order a sushi entrée, it does come with soup and salad. They also serve Nigori sake, not always a given at more middle-of-the-road sushi spots, so that's a definite plus if you like the milky stuff like I do. It's easy, it's quiet, and they'll occasionally throw in a few extra pieces, which is always appreciated. Being right off 9W makes parking simple, proving that in Piermont easy parking does still exist, even if it's not where you expect it.
