Trash attitudes kill the vibes for me. You ever meet a person who flexes some small power they have over people? That guy that has no power except for that one small thing, and enjoys exercising that and annoying people? Thats the attitude of the workers in the store. I've been shopping here for years, because of the high quality on their house flower, and the low price, and I live in oceanside, 40 miles away, but every two weeks I'm in Hikei spending 132$ like clockwork. Today I was rolling up with a coworker (we're plumbers) as we were in the area, I needed to pick up, and I like introducing my weed smoking friends to Hikei. I was telling him on the way how cool the place is, how nice it looks, how great the flower is, telling him he will start buying everything from them after trying their flower. We pull up, the fatass security guard on duty today checks our ID's (why do almost all their guards look sour and annoyed every time I visit) lets me in, I walk up to the counter, and the security guard starts telling my boy that his ID is 10 days past (his birthday just passed) and as I walk to the counter the skinny black guy (always got the worst fking attitude, I swear) starts shaking his head at me and says "go check up on ya boy" the amount of derision in his voice always annoys me, today was no exception. I look back, just hearing that his ID is expired. My boy says "no problem, do you mind if I use the ATM at least?" And the security guard says "you shouldn't even be STANDING in here" and they literally kick him out to the curb. Tell me whats wrong with my 32 year old coworker checking the place out while I make a purchase? Again, those people with their small amount of power who love to flex it. So, I go to the counter and get helped out by a lady, I ask (as I ALWAYS do) to see the current half oz indicas. She goes "ummmm..... theres a lot of them. Just look at the paper" (they have a paper with what strains are still available, but the percentages rarely match the packages of flower, and why can't I inspect something I want to purchase? I look around the store, and I sht you not, I am the ONLY customer in the entire store. Wtf, you got somewhere to be? Someone else waiting to be helped? All she had to do was lift some small baggies 2 feet onto the counter. But!... nice guy that I am, I didn't insist, chose two from the list, and departed with my purchase, quite honestly UNHAPPY that I didn't get to make a real selection, which is half of the reason I love Hikei, is the selection and quality and price. But if I found somewhere else with the same price and quality, i would drop Hikei in a heartbeat because of how their people are so quick to show a bad attitude. read more

I live in the neighborhood next to this new "Joint" and per our neighborhood chat app, we're all pretty welcoming of the new neighbor. One thing that's nice about Federal and Home is the commercial nature and the amount of police presence and availability if needed at the nearby SDPD Maintenance Depot and Gun Range. Anyways, My experience: I lost my pen and cartridge and after an hour of looking, and normal guy was out of my stuff, I headed down the hill to the new store. Security was nice, not too intimidating, staff were ready to help in any way since there's a million things to look at and the interior is really nice - they're still putting their stamp on it. Better prices than Harbor Collective too, cartridge-wise. I think if people will come into this location because it's closer and more convenient they'll be here to stay! read more

Being monetarily challenged (poor) and having to take the bus everywhere, it's quite a hassle finding a dispensary that is convenient to get to, affordable, and well stocked with a wide variety of choices. After going to a number of various dispensaries throughout the years, and after only going to Hi Kei twice so far, I can honestly say it's the best one I've been to. Clean place, great atmosphere, not crowded with friendly and knowledgeable staff members who will take care of your order quickly and expertly. The two times I was there, Vanessa and Karay were very patient and really helped me find what I was looking for (and kept it within my budget!) Thanks Hi Kei! Amazing experience, from the time i walked in the door until the time i left! The moment i walked in after have my ID checked, i was greeted by the very friendly budtenders they have behind the counters. Once it was my turn i was greeted and helped by probably one the nicest budtenders (Nicole) I've ever encountered. Not pushy, i didn't feel rushed into making a selection i wasn't 100% sure about, and made the whole process smooth. She was super helpful and had amazing insight and knowledge about not only what i came in for, but also the other products in stock. After explaining my needs, she offered me a few different options and explained exactly what affects they had and more. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely be returning soon! I recommend Hi Kei because it is very convenient if you live in the area. I live less than 5 mins away which is great if you're just looking to pick up something real quick. Parking is easy and never really packed. I usually stop by here either early morning or evening. Im always in and out in minutes! They check your ID at the door so have it out ready when you get out of your car. They have a bunch of different selections to choose from. They also have deals going on sometimes, just check weedmaps. You can also order online and get delivered to you or order it for pick up! Everyone is so nice and I always feel welcomed in! Great Customer Service, Bud Tenders are very knowledge. One thing they do need is more security considering where it is located. I've been to other shops and they have quite a bit of Armed Guards. I've never had issues with Security until I came across this clown, (young short Mexican guy that wears a small chest plate.) This guard is rude to Men but extra friendly to Women. Go Figure! This place has an investigation against there and there management. They charged me multiple times and never actually delivered the product. Ive showed proof on several occasions. I have gone to BBB and filed a very detailed grievance against this company. This place is over priced and than to steal from a person , when it comes to medication is simply WRONG. I kept hearing about this place on the radio. it's legit great selection of products. Super easy to get your cannabis. They had Henry's and Big Petes running specials.
