A great place to visit on a rainy day!

A local downtown favorite. I have not been there in years but enjoyed my experience. I wanted oatmeal but was not in the mood to make it and Hilda's was a great option. The portion was very large, the toast was perfectly toasty and the staff was nice. I really enjoy going to this diner and I'm happy the community supports it. I'm looking forward to going here for lunch and comfort food in the future.

Lovely pancakes, perfectly over medium eggs, delish sausage and excellent coffee. But I had to flag down the servers for literally everything and it wasn't busy at all.

Hilda's breakfast was great! A quaint Diner in downtown San Anselmo. I had the two egg breakfast with extra crispy has browns and toast. Very fresh and delicious. My friend had the Traditional Eggs Benedict with a pancake. It was very, very good. Our friendly waitress suggested the pancake. It was delicious. Crispy edges and light batter. Thin and yummy. If you like great pancakes you must have them. The kitchen staff was wonderful. Everything tasted great! It's not cheap. Each dish is around $12-14. This is a nice place to enjoy an old fashioned American style breakfast.

Been a customer here for several years. Even with 30+ min drive, it has always been worth it. Since the pandemic, we often order to go and sometimes eat across the street in the picnic area under the redwood trees. Good food and customer service. Today we were told when we went to pick up our food that they no longer take credit cards. This was not told to us over the phone when we placed the order. We've always paid with our cc card. No ATMs close by. Closest ATM at the gas station was out of order. Nearest bank was about 2 miles away. We don't have any issues paying cash but I wish they would have told us when we placed the order especially since it's a change from their past practice. In addition, when we got home and opened our to go box, the stack of banana nut pancakes was just a stack of plain pancakes with banana slices placed on top of the stack. No bananas or walnuts whatsoever inside the pancakes. Very disappointing as that was our favorite menu item. I would have rather have them tell us they were unable to make them properly. The rest of our brunch was fine. French toast was good. The crab cake was crunchy and delicious. Not sure if I'll return if they've changed the way they make their banana pancakes. I checked their menu online and the description has not changed.

Four Seasons it is not, but ..... Look, if you prefer a fancy eatery with super duper hip atmosphere and four star service, stop now and look for another place to eat! But if you enjoy a good basic, solid and tasty breakfast or brunch then continue on! This was my first time here and we decided to try it because we liked the name! Really, just the name. We walk in and we are greeted by a server who was a trip. She was fast talking, friendly and funny. She got us going with coffee and shortly after got our orders. The coffee was good, which is a big plus in my book. The food did come a bit late, but that was because they were VERY busy. But when it came it was good granted that they had forgotten not to put onions and mayonnaise on my girlfriend's burger. My omelette was just right. The hash browns were awesome. My girlfriend's burger was very tasty and the fries were super. All and all a good experience and the food quality was very good. I would've given them a four star had it been not for the delay, no refile of coffee, and the mistake on the burger. I will definitely give them another try.

Having visited New Orleans earlier this year, I was so excited to try this place! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported back to NOLA! There were beads hanging and Mardi Gras decorations throughout the restaurant. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we had our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for inside. Our server was warm and friendly, bringing us water promptly. We started off with an order of beignets. It arrived with three big pieces. They were freshly fried and doused in powdered sugar. So good! My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles, while I decided to try the everything gumbo. The chicken and waffles was huge! It came with several pieces of fried chicken that was topped with freshly minced garlic and came with a homemade spicy sauce. My daughter loved it! I tried a bite and thought it was tasty as well. She ended up taking half of it home. The everything gumbo was also delicious! It was a little thin in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! It was truly authentic and I could taste all the seafood that was in it. I finished my entire bowl! Unlike the chicken and waffle, it was appropriately sized. When I went to pay the bill, there was a sign that said "free beignets if you pay cash." So of course, I paid our bill in cash! Luckily, I had enough cash on me. Can't pass up a deal like that! All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back to The Hummingbird!

The restaurant's interior dining space was full of diners enjoying beautifully prepared meals. The patio was also filled with patrons leisurely chatting, enjoying each other's company. I opted for their Fiesta Salad for lunch. As the picture shows, mixed greens, corn, tomatoes, cotija cheese, black beans, cilantro, and avocado in a big bowl, topped with about a 6 ounce chicken breast. The salad looked like a lot of food but it was light and fresh. It had all the ingredients I love. Service was quality. All the waiters were attentive and the busy kitchen kept up with the orders. Next time I come by, I think I'll sit outside in the patio, enjoy some sun, and try some of their many, appetizing, breakfast items.

Service is surprisingly fast considering how busy they get for weekend brunch. Waiters come around often and are very efficient. REALLY wish they had more veg options, as there are currently only two things (a tofu scramble, and avocado toast). The tofu scramble has fresh veggies, but very little seasoning, so it's quite bland. The avocado toast is literally avocado on toast, no fun garnishes or seasonings. We would def come here more often if we had more options, and maybe more exciting flavors.

It was okay as long as they ordered without waiting for us. Comforts is both a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining, and a separate take out deli bakery. Very hearty meal. * stuffed pecan crusted French toast - sis had 1/2 order. I tasted it. Thought very sweet. * eggs your way- friend enjoyed. She ate the scone but left the jasmine rice. * farmers breakfast - both friend & I had this. My eggs cooked perfectly. Griddle pancakes excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. We finished brunch within an hour. Automatic gratuity as we were party of six. Then moseyed over to the deli bakery. You need to pull a number located by the bakery front door. I bought three bakery items and a large box of the Chinese chicken salad. The peanut butter cookie and the chocolate chip cookie were very sweet. This was a perfect place to go, especially on a nice sunny day. We sat outside on the patio, it did get a little roasty toasty under the sun but it was nice being able to see the water and the city. The service was a tiny bit slow, but overall fast, considering that the place was packed to the room with reservations and walk-ins. The servers were really cute and accommodating for everything, and the food was spectacular. I'm not a huge fan of oysters ( or at least I thought I wasnt) but this definitely changed my mind. It's super fresh, the sauce is pair really well, and the whole vid a good ambulance for me to get back into oysters. If you get a chance, grab the coconut ceviche for a little twist on a classic ceviche... There are slices of coconut and slices of fish with mangoes and tomatoes, which was so tasty. The crab tacos were a whole other deal as well since it wasn't on tortilla, but rather a rice paper kind of wrapping. Super fresh crab, and very juicy and creamy. BEWARE parking is terrible, it's usually crazy packed, and there's a lot of other restaurants and bars around the area which also add to the density. I would recommend this area for adults - couples, friends, older family members. I probably wouldn't recommend this for kids since it's a bit more busy but classy. There's lots of other spots down the street or in Sausalito. That's a bit more accommodating for all ages.
