It's always nerve-racking when you have curly hair and have to go to someone new for a haircut. Nicole truly is a curly-expert and we had a really great appointment. She listened to me and reviewed my current curly practice so that we aligned on the cut before the scissors touched my hair. She gave a lot of helpful tips and tricks that I'll definitely be trying. This is one of the first times I haven't felt the need to rewash and style my hair right after leaving the salon. I wish I made the switch sooner. Also, shoutout to Rose who makes a mean cappuccino. Secondary shoutout to the amazing massage chairs at the washing station.

Perm washed and diffused 48hrs after done - my hair gets pretty limp when it's diffused but I tried it per Brenda's rec.

I got a trim with Cheyenne and a perm with Brenda last weekend and I'm very happy with the results. I waited to review until after I washed my hair post perm so that I could show it fresh and then washed for the first time. Cheyenne was quick and cut my hair while it was still straight very beautifully - I'm happy that she maintained the bulk of my length the way I wanted but still got some nice layers in! Brenda was very knowledgeable and I've had a perm done twice before (this is my 3rd) with a different salon but Brenda delivered quality I've never experienced!!! The salon itself is also really nice - the seats at the hair washing sinks even have massagers and recline to put your feet up! Overall a great experience and since I just moved to the area I'm going to make this my regular salon.

I had a terrible experience here. The stylist was rude and kept pulling my hair. I told her several times to be gentler but she kept using the same force. I told her I wanted a blonde balayge and even showed her a picture of me with the style I wanted because I have had it done before. I instead have a red tinge and no blonde. I also asked that she dye close to the root and she was about 3 inches off... Even my family told me my hair looked terrible. Very upsetting experience that I paid $252 for. This price was also different from what I was quoted before walking in. I was hoping to find a reliable stylist but instead I look like a red panda. They refuse to give any refund. I don't want someone from their salon touching my hair again!

I can only say good things about Hilights Salon! I first contacted the salon to inquire about having my hair lightened, which is something I've always wanted but was scared to do, and have since enjoyed every appointment at the salon. The salon is beautiful and their online appointment booking process is so easy! I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Analee and with the help of Joey (love him!) they gave me the hair that I always wanted (from natural black to bronde!) Even before seeing me, Analee was super informative and thorough with the process, what my expectations should be and aftercare. I had so many questions and she was so patient with me! I recently gave birth to my 3rd baby girl and with my chaotic schedule, I haven't been able to make it in for a touch up. I contacted Analee and she was kind enough to give me some helpful tips to keep my hair looking great until I get some Mommy time! I do not trust anyone else with my hair and I even bring my 9 year old to her. She is amazing and I highly recommend her! Oh and Joey! Don't even get me started on that gem! He's an amazing stylist as well and makes all of our appointments so much more fun. Can't wait for my next appointment.

I requested for the "Nicole Cut" and I was bit scared for cutting my hair short, but the outcome was perfect! After I saw how my hair looked, I was smiling until I went to sleep! I definitely recommend booking with Nicole!

Went in recently to get a trim, treatment, and blow out. Nicole took my hair from dry and brittle- like literally broom stick rough to this. And the softness was lasting with her recs. I have naturally curly hair so it can be very dry but the conditioner she recommend really made a difference. And the post treatment soft curls and blow out lasted all week with just gentle brushing. Hoping to go back soon to touch up on color!

EDIT: New haircut from Chanel today and it is gorgeous! So, I went in for a haircut and was really nervous because I've never had a long bob done before. Also, I didn't get any appointment with any level 2 stylist so I signed up for level 1 stylist CHANEL. I write her name in bold letters because she did a phenomenal job. 1. Patient, warm and fun. 2. Has control of her scissors 3. Likes to check with you every step of the way. I should also mention that the salon has high standards when it comes to sanitization. Gonna go back again !

I've been going to Hilights for a few years now and have no regrets! I go to Ana Lee and she does amazing every time! It's so easy to book and I can always find a convenient time for appointments. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and welcoming. They follow covid regulations well and you feel safe while getting your hair done. Parking is also never an issue. As for my hair every time I have gone I have shown photos of what I wanted and every time I walk out super happy. Ana takes her time and listens to what you want. She is very patient to work to get the results the customer is looking for. I have really dark hair and usually want a lighter color so it usually takes basically half the day! I've gone to hair stylist before that literally could not figure out how to get my hair light. This is the first person to be able to actually give me what I'm looking for. It is definitely worth paying the price and a few hours to get what you're looking for. I usually pay about 300-400 for color, cut and styling. Which is well worth it. I would definitely recommend Hilights and going to Ana to anyone looking for a hairstylist!

First time here and I will definitely be coming back. The service is top-notch and the people/vibe are A+. I felt comfortable and ended up with exactly what I envisioned. I haven't colored my hair in over 6 years so I was a little anxious to begin with. Alexa was my stylist and she totally fed off my energy. I truly appreciate the level of care and attention every step of the way. I decided to come here based on other good reviews so I'm glad that I can contribute by giving another one. As for post-Covid care, the chair and shampoo stations had cue cards indicating they were sanitized and ready for a client. All stations had plexi glass in between them. The work stations are kept tidy during and between clients. They maintained social distancing between clients and adhere to the mask policy. Felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Process took about 4 hours end to end.

Long overdue review: I asked for light brown (caramel) highlights, that I absolutely did not want blonde hair. After 4 hours she turned me around to blonde hair. I explained it was much lighter than I wanted, her response was, "I know, wait 2 weeks, it should darken, if not come back" Which seemed odd to me since in all my years of having my hair colored it never darkened over time, just lightened. BTW $360 hair cut for damaged hair and not at all the color I asked for. (Pictures below) So after a week I called to explain what happened. In that week my hair got lighter. The bleach they put on (unbeknownst to me) did not take to the dye they put on top. My hair was damaged from the bleach that was kept on too long and it was/is completely fried. My hair feels like straw/hey and is matted w/ knots when I brush it after the shower. (wasn't like that prior, prior to the appointment my hair was virgin undyed hair). The owner told me to come in to get it fixed. The 2nd time I went they said they were putting a conditioner treatment on my hair, and they were going to re-dye my hair. At the end of the appointment they were charging me $160. I explained the only reason I am here is because the salon messed my hair up the first time, so the manager came over (blonde very nice women) apologizing and explaining the owner wasn't there and she was not aware but will take care of it for me. 2 days later I go and wash my hair, (still feels like straw/hey and is matted in knots) and now one side of my hair is brown and the other is blonde. Needless to say I am not going back to have them "fix it" for the 3rd time, and will go somewhere else.

Well let's just say I had a amazing experience at Hilights today! I came in for a men's shape up & ended up also getting a eyebrow wax from Alexa. I was greeted with a warm welcome from her & staff. Upon being seated I was asked if I need anything, refreshment etc which I thought was nice. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great salon experience. The only thing I would change is a the playlist lol. read more

I went to Hilights Salon for the first time and it was by far the best experience I have ever encountered at a hair salon. I had the pleasure of having Joselyn do my hair and I absolutely loved her. She took the time to understand exactly what style and color I wanted, was very hospitable and definitely exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend her. The salon was extremely clean and everyone of the hair dressers was super sweet. I will definitely be making this my go to salon for all my hair and hair product needs. After being a loyal customer of another salon for over 15 years, I decided to venture out and find a new one. You see, I wanted something off the beaten path. Something different. Something pink. After my emails to my now former stylist went unanswered, I headed out on a Yelp! Search and came across several salons offering the ombré effect but wasn't too impressed. Once Hilights came into my view, and viewing their pictures here on Yelp, I decided to check out their site and make that phone call. The girl who answered the phone was super sweet, warm & helpful. I decided that this was it and I was jumping ships, finally trying out a new salon. I couldn't wait and made my appointment for the very next day. My appointment was with Gina. I walked in & was immediately made to feel welcome. Gina discussed with me what I wanted done to my hair and went to grab swatches of different colors that were similar to what I wanted done. The third one was finally the WINNER. Gina was so helpful, warm and super sweet. The process of getting my hair to where I wanted it to be began. Everyone working asked me if I needed something to drink, eat or wanted magazines to read several times. It was during this process that I met the woman behind the voice on the phone the day before. Trish was just as friendly and warm in person. I watched as she interacted with her own customer. She was definitely an example on what a hair stylist should be. After several hours, the hair was finite and looked fabulous. I walked out feeling like a million dollars. My iPhone had died during this time and I couldn't take after pictures. Mehhhh. Gina snapped a few with her phone and I am just waiting to receive them so I can show the world the fabulousness that Gina & Hilights had done to my do. Everyone working in the salon was an example of what people want to see and work with when getting their hair did. They were all so friendly and welcoming. After beginning to write this review I realized that warm voice on the phone, Trish, is actually the owner of this salon. After this five-star experience, I am above pleased & a new loyal customer of theirs. I just wish I would have made the switch sooner. Awful customer service! I paid for sessions of blowouts in advance and they're still requesting a credit card on a file for a $20 blowout in case of cancellation ! Unacceptable!!! If I was getting color I totally get it but for a cheap blow out just take one prepaid session away! You lost a good customer and will lose more! This is second time front desk person was nasty not listening to customer just preaching it's a policy! For a $20 blow out. Are you kidding??? I guess you get what you pay for! I do not recommend this place at all! read more

Jess did my hair :) she did a fantastic job. My goal was silver which is an extremely hard job - basically needing to bleach all color out and then tone. I will probably come back at some point to get it lightened even more when I can afford to. I absolutely love how it turned out and with the new cut and color I honestly feel 100x more confident. She didn't damage my hair practically at all which is wonderful and has happened to me at salons in the past. The salon was very COVID friendly with clients generously spaced out. Extremely disappointed with this salon and I don't recommend this place. I have getting my hair highlighted for over ten years and I know how to take care of my hair well (olaplex, mask, etc). I got my hair colored here for the first time and Ana Lee fried my hair. Initially it looked nice so I tipped well but I totally regret it. My hair is failing out a lot, my ends look burned. It took her 5 hours to highlight my hair when normally it takes 3 else where. I called the salon to speak to the stylist for help. She never called me back. The front desk people were very dismissive. I know hair can't be perfect all the time but when things don't go well, your stylist should be there to help you. These people don't care about you and their work sucks. read more

My experience at Hilights Salon has been GREAT! From the very first time I called and booked my appointment, I knew that this was going to be a great group of professional stylists. Everyone on the staff is courteous, polite, and super friendly. I was on the fence about getting the Brazilian blow-out/Keratin treatment, but Tricia's approachable and extremely down-to-earth demeanor as she was explaining the procedure to me in more detail had me sold. Well... I am so glad that I went through with it! While Tricia wasn't the one who did my hair, Gina was amazing. On previous appointments, I also had Gina for a cut and blowout. Two thumbs way UP! Ana has been there throughout all of my hair journeys! I was an artificial blonde for nearly 20 years (I know, it's either a big yikes or wow). Bouncing from stylist to stylist, my go-to girl was busy at the time but I had known Ana's work for years and have always promoted her for anyone who was in the area. I knew I was in good hands coming to her for help while in a pinch. Not only did she maintain and revive the kind of blonde that made me the happiest (going blonde from dark hair is an art; you need someone who understands the true science behind it), she helped enable a new hair chapter in my life that consisted of going back to my natural roots. Literally! Making such a big change was a little daunting at first but I knew I was ready for it deep down inside; and so was my hair, haha. I found Hilights Salon back in 2015 thru a friend's post on Instagram; she went blonde and the color looked flawless! After a few bad experiences with my former salon, I was ready for a new place. So I booked my first appointment with Hilights and I've been going back ever since! My hair is naturally jet black and they've even managed to make it platinum blonde without looking dry. I always get compliments on how great my hair looks, even weeks after my appointment. And when friends ask where to get their hair done, I refer them to Hilights every time. The staff is very welcoming from the moment you walk through the door and they're fun people to be around, great camaraderie to me. I enjoy how they take the time to explain what they're doing and give each customer quality time every time. Tricia has been doing my extensions since last year. She truly cares about your hair and also the health of your hair. I'm very picky when it comes to my hair and decided to get a cut. I was blown away how fantastic my haircut was. She truly is gifted And extremely talented. I have tried a lot of places in my life and I can tell you she is the only one I will let touch my hair. The most important thing is that she truly listens to what you are aiming for. I have gone to a lot of luxury salons in my lifetime and they seem to do what they want to do rather than listen to the client. There s also a positive vibe there which I can not put my finger on. Brittany is amazing! My first haircut was a huge chop! About 10 inches. I was left with a really cute pixie cut! Brittany has been such an amazing hairdresser that I have told basically everyone I know to go see her! My sisters and mom both get their haircuts with Brittany and we have never been happier. The service is amazing! Everything is extremely clean and feels like home away from home. We've also shopped at the little boutique! They have cute and trendy things on display! Life is full of struggles and challenges, but eventually, you find a hairstylist who understands you and your hair! When I want to look and feel my best, I book an appointment with my favorite Stylist Mimi. Mimi not only makes me feel beautiful, her head massages in the shampoo chair make you want to get down on one knee (she also styled me on my wedding day!). She listens to what you want and delivers, she is knowledgeable and also teaches you to take care of your hair. I have really curly hair and I never wore it natural until Mimi taught me how to manage it and recommended great products for my curls. My hair was ridiculously long and I just needed to cut it ASAP. Called to make an appointment same day with Ana Lee. I haven't had bangs in years and just needed some change. So she cut off a couple of inches and went to work. I was nervous getting bangs again but she made sure I was comfortable with the length and with the style I wanted. I also had a deep conditioning cause my hair was also lacking shine lately. She finished off with some natural curls and viola~ I would definitely recommend haircuts here! I know very little about the process of coloring hair. Glaze, highlights, lowlights, single process? About the only thing I know for sure is when my roots needs touching up. Whether I'm ready for a root touch up or looking for something new, there is only one person I trust: Gennifer at Hilights Salon. Gennifer KNOWS how to listen to clients and help them with their hair journey. I may not know what to ask for, but I know what I want in the end. All I have to do is show Gen some pictures of what I like and talk about what I want to achieve...she listens patiently and with the expertise of her experience and her knowledge, she works her magic. The end of my hair journey is the color I want and hair is that is so soft, you'd swear I was born with it. Additionally, as curly girl, I'm picky about who cuts my hair. Gen understands the special care curly hair requires as it gets cut and offers great advice for when I go home to style it on my own. I love my curls and my color thanks to Gen! read more

Yesterday I found myself in a time crunch and needing some grays covered for a work presentation today. So I took a chance on Hilights and I'm so glad I did! Tricia, the owner, was incredibly sweet and welcoming and made me feel at home instantly. Mimi did a fantastic job communicating my options and listening to my needs when it came to camouflaging my grays. I'm so happy to have found Gabby via Instagram. I saw her work and knew she'd be able to correct my hair. I originally had my hair lightened at another salon and was not too happy with the results. I tried saving my hair myself by purchasing Overtone but of course I over-processed my hair and it turned green. Enter Gabby. I told her what I was trying to achieve and she was super informative with the process, how my results would be, as well as how to care for my hair afterwards to keep the color as long as possible. Finally a salon with consistency, always the same crew and always a great cut, color, and experience. I've struggled for years to find a place I loved and found Hilights through a friend and have been there for the last 6 years with Tricia. After weeks of trying to convince myself to like what a different salon had done months prior, I finally decided to go for a hair consultation and a week later get my dream hair at Hilights Salon. I think my before and after picture pretty much says it all. Annalyse did a great job! She added dimension to my hair and really listened to what I had to say. I genuinely can't say enough good things about both Brittany and this salon in general. I first went to Brittany in 2021 for a color correction. I'd used SPLAT on my hair and absolutely wrecked it. Somehow she managed to get my hair to a gorgeous rose gold color without damaging it. My experience at this hair salon was an absolute disaster…read more On December 19th, I went for a root touch-up and had sent messages and visuals beforehand showing my hair's current condition and the color I wanted. I chose this salon because my previous stylist was far away, and my hair was incredibly healthy and strong. My hair expert friends confirmed this; I had been working for a year to grow my hair. However, because they didn't properly lighten my roots, Paulina Sanchez applied a dark and greenish color without asking me. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror. I went home and sent them a video crying, asking, "What did you do?" but they didn't reply. I later visited the salon so they could see it in person, but they ignored me and said, "We are busy." Within 2-3 days, my hair became multiple colors and kept falling out. I developed sores on my scalp and cheeks. The salon staff sent me a long apology message, saying they would fix their mistake and scheduled to correct my hair this week. However, despite knowing how damaged my hair was, they did not consider that it needed time to rest. Today, I had my appointment. They applied bleach for 5 hours to my hair, and some areas still didn't lighten. While washing my hair, I saw my broken hair in the hands of two staff members, yet they didn't say anything. They mockingly said "Happy holidays" when they finished. Even the other customers saw my hair was falling out. This process was extremely damaging financially, emotionally, and psychologically. My hair has become completely unhealthy, and I will have to shave it tomorrow. The 10 days I spent dealing with this experience caused me serious trauma. I am also a business owner in the U.S. and have never had problems with my clients, as they are more important to me than money. If you cannot do your work properly in this country, please leave this business to those who can. I believe these individuals' licenses should be revoked. Please do not visit this salon to avoid being victimized. I definitely do not recommend it.

I showed her specific pictures and told her a few times that I hated the copper tone that was in my hair at that time. After 5 hours of being there and over $300 later, I left with my head fully copper toned. I could not even look in the mirror at myself. I was disgusted and I hated the color. I called a few days later and spoke to Erin to tell her how I hated it so bad. She told me to come back in and she would fix it for me. Well, I did and when she was done "fixing" it, I was charged another $250. I called a few days later to talk to the own, Trisha, and she has yet to return my phone call. It has now been about two weeks without a returned call. However, I did get a call from the "manager," who I believe is named Dena. She was honestly the rudest, most condescending and disrespectful person. When I was telling her my situation, not only did she have an attitude but she laughed several times at me. I am completely appalled and dissatisfied with every aspect of this "business." My hair is still uneven. They refuse to refund me any amount. Instead, they wanted me to come and have my hair done for the THIRD time with the owner. However, it should have been done right the first time. Since it was not, it should have been done right the second time. Now I will not go back a third time. For what? So my hair can now be processed three times and be completely damaged? No. I will definitely never go back again. I could have went to a top salon in the city and had an amazing job done and definitely not have paid over $600. I am absolutely disgusted with this establishment and will be sure to let the Better Business Bureau know as well. read more

I have always gone to all different types of places to get my hair done. I never felt 100% comfortable with anybody doing my hair. My friend recommended Hilights (Trish). I needed a hair change and a new hair salon so I figured to give it a shot! We both made appointments. The second I met Trish, I knew I was never going to let anybody else touch my hair but her!! I have dark brown hair, and told her I want to go blonde. She explained to me all about transitioning to blonde, etc, etc.. I walked out with an AWESOME new hair cut and a beautiful color! (My friend also walked out with an amazing haircut as well!) I have gotten so many compliments on it!I am going back in March for a touch up and to go lighter. I trust her totally, and she is the sweetest person ever! She is so fun and you can tell she loves her job! I also got my eyebrows threaded there, and they looked AMAZING! I will never go back to waxing! I forgot the woman's name who does the eyebrow threading (I am so sorry!) but you just need to ask for her and they will know who you're talking about! The rest of the staff is also VERY friendly. The salon itself is really nice and clean. And the staff is not pushing you to buy super expensive products, which I have experienced in the past. I can only say good things about Hilights Salon. Ana Lee has been working on my hair for the last 2 years and has been my best hairstylist yet. As a woman with dark Asian hair, I've come across many people who did not know how to work with my hair type. Often times when I would want to lighten my hair, and other stylists ended up turning it orange or just shut me down right away telling me that it's not do-able. Ana, on the other hand, is a professional through and through. When I did my first consultation with her and talked about my hair goals, she came up with a flexible plan that helped me get there over time. When you show up for your appointment, there are no surprises. She will tell you all the information that you need to know and what she will be doing that day. I would often get my hair dyed and trimmed. She is passionate and meticulous with her work, almost as if she is going through each and every strand of hair. Thanks to her, I have achieved my hair goals, and she continues to help me feel more like myself with every appointment. I do not trust anyone else with my hair care needs and goals. I am new to the area, and as such, relied upon the reviews on YELP, for selecting a salon. Hilights had great reviews (except for some troll who wrote about the lighting) which I found to be perfect. I was willing to pay for the top stylist, and colorist, and since I was changing my hair color to auburn (from blonde), I was quite nervous. I arrived at the salon, just as a photographer was leaving, and learned that my stylist that day had won an award for best colorist. I was very excited, and so was she, but she quickly switched it into professional, and we began to discuss my hair. Trisha was so professional, I wondered how the previous 30 minutes, had not gone strait to her head. It did not. It was not about her, she made me feel it was all about ME!. 90 minutes later, I was the perfect shade of red, my hair was cut perfectly, and I was treated like a princess. The entire experience was priceless, and I am already pre-booked for touch ups. Trisha you are worth every penny. I pass this salon on my way to the bus stop wach morning, it looked nice and clean and their hours are convenient. I came in the late afternoon, and Trisha did my hair. Trisha is courteous and pleasant with a great sense of humor. I got a highlight and cut with a blowout. My hair was beautifully styled and had a lot of movement. I must say, that I was in the salon when Melissa was there. Melissa wrote a scathing review here, but I myst say, they did everything they could to accomodate her demands, in fact Dina the front end manage offered to buy her lunch, even after she screamed at everyone who tried to fix her box dyed, messed up, head if hair. I tknow she lied about her previous dye jobs, because she admitted it to me when I dared to ask her. Sometimes people need hear themselves talk to others. She was embarrassing. If I were that salon owner, I would post a warning on here to any shop she walks into. Trisha and her team did everything humanly possible to fix her hair. Some things just cannot be fixed. I am VERY picky when it comes to my hair. I have been going to hilights for about a year now and I've been to both Tricia and Gina. I understand gina was the previous owner, and Tricia is the new owner. Both of them know what they are doing, with people and with hair. They have a nice decor, its super clean (even for a hair salon) and i always leave feeling beautiful. They also have an online booking system that is convenient when I'm at work to make an appointment . Its also super convenient that they have a parking lot behind so i can get parking at ANY time, and if your familiar with ridge road, you know its a bit@# to park on. I have recommended many friends who also go there, and they are always thrilled with how they look too.. so its not just me. If you want a salon that is trendy and priced well for the service, i suggest hilights. read more

Well, I have to say, I am not the easiest client. My hair is the most important thing I wear everyday. I used to go to my favorite colorist until she moved out of state so I was forced to try new places. I've been to many prestigious places and paid top dollar, but always left disappointed. Fortunately, I heard that Tricia opened up her salon and I knew I had to give it a shot. As I had some tough times in the past, I was still reluctant to try another place, but Tricia really cared and consulted me through the process. As a result, I booked an appointment with Linda, and can't wait to get back there again for my next appointment! She listened to everything I wanted, and was soooo sweet through it all, even though I was a nervous wreck and pain in the butt! I have been going to Hilights and have had the fabulous Cassie for 2 and half years. The first time I met Cassie, I walked in with long, over processed, and stringy blonde hair. That day, she changed my life. We cut 7 inches off and she created a master piece with a blonde balayage. I always said to myself, " I could never pull off short hair, I'll be the older lady with gray long hair". To tell you the truth, now that I have been working with her, I will never go back to having long hair again. From the first time I have met her until now, she ALWAYS listens to my thoughts about styles/color, gives great suggestions for up keep and product use, and continues to make me feel amazing every time I leave there. Hilights Salon is the BEST place you can go to get your hair done. I have been going there for the past four years, and I do not plan on ever leaving! Every time I get my hair colored, it turns out to be exactly what I wanted (even better). Over the years I have been red, light brown, and now blond (my hair is naturally dark brown). When I get a new haircut and blowout, I leave feeling like a model. I am very crazed about the length of my hair, and they always cut it the perfect length. I even donated ten inches of hair there, and I loved the haircut they gave me. Tricia and Deena always take great care of me, and I always leave thrilled with the outcome. The salon Experience has been wonderful! From the moment you walk in the staff at Hilights quickly checks you in and offers you a beverage! Those morning appointments can be rough without coffee - but they have you covered! My stylist Erin is phenomenal! Check out the Hilights insta and you'll see!! She always explains the process and offers helpful hair care advice. Love her! After being turned into a brassy mess the staff suggested her over the phone over a year ago and I will never use anyone else! I have watched the other staff members during my appointments and the clients always seem to leave happy too! They're a fun bunch to be around and truthfully I think they're having fun too! I have naturally red hair and was VERY nervousness to et highlights and lowlights in it for the first time. Melissa made me feel veryyy comfortable and eased my nerves about finally dying my hair. I could not have been more happy with the results so much that I keep going back to get them done even more drastically than the first time. I've been going to Hilights since Tricia became the owner and have never left disappointed. I've seen it grow to become a high demand hair salon throughout the years full of friendly stylists who give the comforting attention you need, want, and expect from a hair salon. I was searching for a new salon for a while, i found them on Instagram, their insta is bomb. I called and waited a week for an appointment, but i wanted a big change with an top stylist. I choose an educator which i was notified on the phone that there will be 2 people working on me, i appreciated knowing. I was greeting warmly and i got a cute tour, the salon was way bigger than i thought It was and i liked to know about the history, and that It was a small female run business. #girlpower My stylist was Melissa, she and her associate worked magic, i felt so happy and beautiful when i left, they even posted my hair on their IG! This 5 star review is based on my first impression and will be updated after my appointment tomorrow. Salon was very clean and trendy. Super friendly staff. I spoke to the women at the front desk (sorry i didn't get your name) and one of the stylists, Erin. I have been going to the same stylist for 15 years and she unfortunately had to step down from doing hair due to personal reasons so i have been in the market for a new salon for quite some time. Based on the conversation and first impression of Erin and her extensive knowledge I would feel confident recommending someone here. They certainly seem like they know what they are doing. I've been dying my hair since middle school, and it wasn't until years later when I took a chance on Hilights Salon that I actually loved my hair! Cassie is the best! I've been seeing her for about three years now, and I'm obsessed with my hair after every visit. Whether I want a trim, a new color, or a fabulous blowout, she knows how to make me happy. If for whatever reason she's not available, I always ask for Mimi! She's so much fun to talk to and gives great scalp massages. My whole family and I come here all of the time. Elizabeth (Liz) and Erin do our hair and we love it!!! The place is nice, very clean and the girls are very friendly! They have become a part of our family! I would give them all of the stars in the world if I could. If there are any bad reviews is because some people are haters and they cannot see what is good. I recommend this place to everybody that lives around the area because these girls never disappoint! I am very happy with their level professionalism and warmth. Everyone asks how I have such beautiful hair and I always tell them - Erin from Hilights Salon! I've been seeing Erin Roney since 2015 and I would even drive from RI (when I lived there) to NJ for hair appointments. She has taught me so much on what would work for me -color, cut, and even hair products. Thanks to her hair care tips - my hair is so healthy after multiple sessions of balayage and highlights over the past years. This salon saved my hair! My hair was burned off from another hair stylist from Fait Maison Salon in Bayonne. The pervious hair stylist also had me walk out with uneven blotch yellow blonde hair. When I contacted Hilights Salon they connected me with Brittnay! She made me feel comfortable even though my hair looked crazy at the time. She listened to my goals for my hair and, was knowledgeable on what needed to happen for me to get there. She got me to a solid color the first time we met, and has gotten my hair to a healthy state. I drive far to go to Hilights to get my hair done because there is no comparison anywhere else. You get what you pay for, and boy do they deliver every single time! I have been getting my hair done by Cassie at Hilights Salon for almost 4 years. Everything from color, cuts, glazes and even bridal hair styling on my wedding day and bridal party.
