Everyone I dealt with at Hill Cadillac was very nice and pleasant to deal with. Some of my frustrations come from working with an inexperienced sales representative. Again, very nice person, but had to look up every question I asked him about the cars I was test driving as I went. I ended up buying a Cadillac Lyriq EV. The car is great, even though it arrived with a couple of scratches in the plastic on the dash and rearview that were too deep to buff out, but frankly those were bound to happen, so might as well have the seal broken early I guess. I was transitioning from a Tesla to the Cadillac and I asked specifically if my phone would function as a digital key to the Lyriq and I was told that yes, it would. Period. Turns out that my phone will not function as a digital key to the Lyriq. I will give a big shout-out to Dave in their IT department for researching if it was possible for a couple of days before getting back to me and telling me that my Samsung was not compatible with the Lyriq and I would have to buy a Google Pixel for compatibility. Note: as of yet the Pixel also will not function as a digital key even though I have gone through the process of pairing it and making it a trusted device and going through the complete online troubleshooting guide. I had also asked if my Tesla charger was compatible with the Lyriq and was told that yes, it would be with the included adapter. Turns out that the adapter was not included and cost an additional 300$. Also turns out that I've gotta go in to my Tesla charger at work and at home and reconfigure the entire things to make it work with the Lyriq. As of yet I have not been able to make it work despite being back and forth with customer support a lot. Lastly, before the car had left the lot I'd reached out to my sales rep because I found they had a model with better acceleration and more features that I had not test driven and I hoped that I could switch to that model and was told no. It was still available. Which is too bad because I would have gladly paid the extra money for the faster model. In general when I was initially looking at cars their communication was fantastic and quick to respond with texts. As the sale closed and thereafter the responses to my questions (there weren't a lot) dropped off significantly or ceased all together. The scheduled drop-off of the car was also 30 minutes late with no heads up, which threw off my day a little. So I've got this beautiful car that drives like a dream sitting in my driveway that I can't charge, can't use features I was told came with it, and I've spent 1600$ additional dollars for adapters and a new phone, which as of yet don't work. The purchasing part was pleasant and fairly easy but it isn't the experience I would expect from a luxury car dealership. It was also a significant departure from Tesla, where every single part of the process worked immediately upon purchase. read more

To begin, I took my Cadillac in to Service for an estimate and was immediately treated in a condescending manner by the service advisor (the invoice I received has the name George Bennet on it but I am not truly certain if this was who assisted me as this may simply be a standard name for that field?). Regardless, his tone remained when I returned to pick up my vehicle. Were this not enough I decided, after paying the $222 fee to have the car assessed, to take my car elsewhere for a second opinion as the estimate seemed steep. As it turns out the estimate from Hill was just over $5000. Ultimately, I had the "same exact" work performed at a local auto repair shop for $2000! Prior to getting the work done I had made the decision not to return to Hill due the treatment I received. The savings further solidified that decision. read more

As a follow up to my last review on this Hill Cadillac in Newtown Square PA, once again I have a problem with my car. I wen through GM and they made an appointment for me directly with the Hill which was confirmed with me 3 times by email. Upon arrival for my appointment I was told that based On my last review, that will no longer service my vehicle at all. just for the record, they never serviced my vehicle before and it was that refusal to honor my warranty that prompted my last review. In summary, I now have to wait for my vehicle to be towed to another dealer. For spending 100K on a vehicle one would expect better service from a dealer of the Cadillac mark. This is the worst dealer service I've ever encountered and I would never buy anything from these folks or bring any business to their service department ever again. GM should be ashamed to be associated with Hill Cadillac read more

ZERO stars should really be allowed. I have never felt more frustrated with a service business in my life. Bill Kanuika was very unpleasant, non informative and rude. Nobody there took accountability for the lack of information given to me over the phone essentially wasting my time today. A simple apology or offer of understanding could have gone a long way but instead I was very rudely asked to leave his establishment because I asked questions for clarity. I have had a Cadillac for the past 11 years. I would never ever do business with these people again. The general manager Mark Pace is the worst. I have never encountered such an ignorant man and a bully. I see other people have a terrible opinion of him too. Wondering why the owners put up with this behavior. He screamed at me at the top of his lungs for calling him out on a dishonest deal. I was pretty frightened. I am a 65 year old woman. There is no loyalty or respect here for the customer. Starting with Randy Hill, an owner, who was well aware of our situation, and basically hid. Our salesman, Dennis, could care less about anything but his commission. I have to add we never had a problem with service in 11 years. Even though I own the car and live around the corner I would never take my car here for service. The service they provided when I leased a vehicle was first class. Ive bought a lot of cars and more times than not, its an annoying experience. With Hill, I felt they did everything they could do (unprovoked) to get me all rebates possible and make sure I got the best deal they could offer. Rating should be minus 10, there was a 3rd party stereo installed into the vehicle before I purchased it used (and it was working fine for more than 5 years) and I had no sound from the stereo, blinkers, flashers etc. Hill Cadillac called in a 3rd party stereo repair shop, and they confirmed with Hill Cadillac the issue was the amplifier. So, Hill called me with an estimate of $ 1,700. I approved and once they replaced the amplifier it was still not working at all. What surprised me after that was they told me they did not know what else to do to correct the issue!! Then after arguing with the manager they still charged me 1/2 the bill to get my vehicle back still not repaired. I'd never use them again for anything unless I'm in a position where I have no other choice. Not happy at all with the service I was given and less happy with the results. I mean, how can you charge anyone anything for something you couldn't fix???? read more

I called to schedule a service appointment (change oil light on, door molding replaced, CT6). Shockingly, it was a 2 week wait to be serviced. The appointment was scheduled and I was to receive a loaner car. Upon dropping my car off, I was told there were no loaner cars, come back tomorrow and we should have one. I'm sorry, but a two week out appointment? Now they've disrupted my day and wasted my time ($). I was unable to make the following day. I immediately left and called PEP BOYS. When I told this story to PEP BOYS, they said we're happy to have your business. It's not my 1st disappointment with Hill Cadillac. My family leased cars from Hill for many, many years (family business) 3 cars every 2 years. Not that anyone's counting. I really love the Lyriq! I won't be buying it from Hill. In fact, I'm turned off by Cadillac altogether from this experience. I'm accountable in my business. We're all accountable. If that was not the case, I would have reached out to each customer who had an appointment scheduled and rescheduled their appointment for a day when Hill did have loaner cars and not interrupt their day and make them drive to the dealership to tell them, "we're sorry we don't have loaner cars." I have purchased seven new Cadillac cars during the past nine years. A SRX, CTS, CT6, XT5 and three ESCALADE's. I have always been treated well UNTIL I looked at a new 2021 Escalade. The used car guy LOWBALLED me on my trade after rummaging thru my glove compartment, the SALES MANAGER insulted me with his rational for wanting full sticker saying he could get $ 5000.00 over sticker from someone else. My salesman, Craig, has always been very professional as he was at this time. I'm very disappointed at HILL CADILLAC. I wrote an e-mail for which I never received a response as well as forwarding it to the owner, Geoff Hill. In my opinion, their customer loyalty has evaporated. Is it possible to not even give a star? Definitely doesn't deserve it. We showed up 10 minutes from close due to our back door being jammed and not able to shut making it unable to drive home. We went in and the guy at the desk on 1/13/15 closing in the service department said anyone who would be able to fix it was gone. Problem #1...you are advertised open until 6pm, why are none of your employees staying til close? Problem #2...why wouldn't your employee offer assistance after hearing the problem? Even if he couldn't fix it, humor us and at least try. Problem #3...after being turned away we stayed in the parking lot to try to fix it ourselves and being parked in your lot, your employer drove up and stopped behind our car...we thought he was going to offer to help however he only stopped because he couldn't get by our open door. Don't worry, we closed it so your employee got home safe. How were we able to get home you ask? Oh we stopped by your neighbors, GMC Buick O'Reilly, you know them? If not you should. They were also closed when we stopped by however the last employee in there offered to help. He offered to help an owner of a Cadillac. Not even a brand of car they service. He was able to fix the small problem and we couldn't thank him enough. Will think twice before looking to purchase another car with you. Cars are great. Service however needs some work. read more

The service department at Hill is awful. My car has been in for service 4 times for the same door lock issue and they still can't figure it out. Each time it is another excuse. If my car wasn't under warranty this wouldn't be the place to service my vehicle. The manager is a douchebag , the advisor was rude as well. They had me wait 3 hours saying they were going to check the things that went wrong with the car but after 3 hours they are unable to fix the clunk noise coming from the steering wheel knowing the cause of it. Also when I confronted the advisor about the door rattling noise he stated that he forgot. Would gladly give them 0 stars if I could. Furthermore , in those next days I went to Holman Cadillac , and I have to say that was a night and day difference , they helped me figure out the problem of the clunk coming from the steering wheel and fixed it the same day. Nothing less , I had to update this review on yelp to specially let the manager of hill Cadillac know that he cannot tell every single person on yelp that left a bad review to bring back the car to where they bought it from since it's very inappropriate and disrespectful. Also the car is 2019 and still under warranty bumper to bumper so I would be able to take it to any Cadillac dealership. If the manager of Cadillac hill doesn't want to service those cars but only the cars he feels like to he should close down the dealership and move on to a different kind of business because so far selling cars and servicing cars is not looking so good for you Mr. manager. read more

I don't even think this place deserves one star. They had my car for nearly month to fix multiple issues including replacing the motor that they destroyed. When I picked it up one of the problems was not fixed. Then they had to order parts and I had to wait again. After over a week, I called to see if the parts had come in. The response that I got was "I was on vacation and I didn't follow up yet." I made arrangements for the repair but then they cancelled on me three times in one week. I tried to talk to the service manager but he was really rude to me saying "I've never heard about your car in my life ". Well if my staff destroyed an entire engine I would want to know. Anyway... this manager was very rude and I am pretty upset. I asked him how he would help me. He said there's nothing he can do at 1pm on a Friday. Wrong answer. He was happy to hear that another dealership would be willing to help me out. Another wrong answer. I hope this "manager" doesn't speak to all their customers this way. Though he isn't the only employee who was rude to me throughout my experience at Hill. Spend your money somewhere that has good customer service and appreciates your time and loyalty. read more

Zero stars. Misdiagnosed the problem with my car, couldn't get the part that turns out I didn't need and cost me $800 more than the actual problem. The car sat in there lot for three weeks waiting for the wrong part. Here's the story. My 2007 Cadillac CTS gave me a message that the theft lock will not turn off. The key got stuck in the ignition. I couldn't turn the car on and even put it in drive. I had it towed to the Hill Cadillac dealer in Newtown Square PA. They diagnose the problem as a faulty ECM and needs to be replaced. The quoted price $1400. I agreed to the work. The bad news is that they can't get an ECM from the suppliers they use. Three weeks later and still no part. My car sitting idle in there lot. So I decided to call Cadillac support. After giving them my information, I was able to explain the problem and I wanted to know why the dealers can't get this part. After about an hour on the phone and while the support person called the service department at Hill, they authorize me to get the part and sent me three web sites where the part could be purchased. I then contacted Hill and let them know that I was able to track down the part on the ACDelco website as advised by Cadillac support. I gave Hill the option to purchase the part or I would. They refused to use any part that did not come from the normal supply chain. This after they talked to Cadillac support to confirm what I had arranged. Now ACDelco carries OEM parts and, I though, was affiliated with GM. The ECM I was buying was a brand new OEM. I called Cadillac support again and got a manager, who called Hill while I was on the line. When it was all over , support said they couldn't help me and agreed with Hill's decision. A complete reversal on what was told to me earlier and after I spent hours on the phone and searching the Web for the part. It's been very frustrating for me, not only being without a car for three weeks, but then Hill Cadillac tells me they can't get the part I need, when I can find one from General Motors. Cadillac Customer support tells me that I can get the part from an authorized vendor, only to reverse their promise. I'm done with Cadillac. I had the car towed to private garage and ordered the part. They installed it in less than a day. But it gets worse. A week after the new ECM was installed, the same symptoms happened. It turns out that Hill misdiagnosed the problem. It wasn't the ECM, it was a battery cable. C&J auto in Newtown Square correctly diagnosed the problem and replaced the cable and the car has been running great ever since. I will never deal with Cadillac for service. I may never buy another Cadillac. Cadillac support is useless and Hill Cadillac is arrogant and obnoxious and couldn't care less about my car or me. read more

I leased a 2013 XTS Platinum a $60,0000 car from Hill and the driver seat would not go down. Took it in 3 or 4 times and was never fixed. It was so annoying I got rid of the car early and leased an SRX. Had to get another Cadillac or I would have taken a beating on the early lease. Now the SRX seat will not go down here we go again. Hill could not fix the problem the first time with the XTS. I have no faith that this will be fixed cannot wait until this lease is up now. Plus Hill is a half hour away and dread the multiple trips to this dealer to fix the problem. read more
