Great food, great service, great prices! We ate a delicious breakfast and then ordered more food to bring home.

Excellent burgers & pizza - 4 stars!…read more FYI, it's called "Riley's Cannibal Junction", NOT "Riley's Fine Food & Drink". Don't judge a book by its cover. That's the first thing I have to say about this hole-in-the-wall bar & restaurant. When you find them, it feels like the middle of nowhere because there are no houses, cabins, or other businesses in sight. This is a totally casual, no-frills place with a hunting and fishing cabin type of vibe. Come as you are. Are you still wearing your hunting camo or your snowmobile suit? No problem. The burgers, pizzas, and soups are very good. The all-beef patties are the real deal. No soybean additives here. The owner makes an extra effort to get a higher grade ground beef. You can definitely taste the difference. The staff is very friendly and unpretentious. And the prices are remarkably reasonable (see photo). If you're interested in the history, they have a summary on the back of the menu and on the Facebook page. It all goes back to the 1950s and an eccentric husband & wife named Chester & Violet Guiles. The local kids started calling Chester "Cannibal Guiles". Once a week they'd go to Deer River to buy groceries in a horse drawn buckboard. One final note: I read a silly previous review accusing this place of being "disgustingly racist". I saw no evidence of racism whatsoever. In fact, there was a Native American gentleman cooking on the day I visited. I complimented him on the burgers and we had a nice chat. He's a nice dude. I don't know what kind of personal beef was going on at some point in the past, but this review is pretty bad...the worst type of ignorant, woke, race baiting & trolling with no evidence at all. Don't like 'em? Don't go there. This stupid review should really be removed or sidelined by Yelp. Anyway, enough time wasted on that topic... Stop by if you're in the area. Grab a brew and some grub. Thumbs up! -Maxx

And all my years of doing pulltabs I have never had anyone say something like that. I wasn't even done signing my ticket yet so I did not have a chance to even tip. How tacky and unprofessional is that to be begging for tips. I always tip. I went on to play more and won even more and I did not tip because of her unprofessional behavior. Then we find out after 45 minutes that our ticket never got entered so we waited over an hour for our food! We live locally we have frequented here many times. We're in the food industry as well and we own our own food business but this is probably the last and final time we ever come here. I believe the owner needs to be here every day, especially Monday through Friday. Just disappointed because this place is not up to what it used to be. I understand employees are hard to come. But to have two of them on shift, not give us a good experience is unfortunate. Three out of five stars as I do believe there could be improvement and maybe it will happen.
