Went on Sunday for all you can eat brunch. It was great! Looked like lots of locals visiting after church.

I have ate here on multiple occasions now- food is your typical breakfast food (eggs, meat, pancakes, etc). The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly/hard working. The wait time was awesome! We walked right in so I can't complain about that- not sure if we got lucky or if that is the norm? It is off the main drag so I imagine not as busy as some of the other options. They seem to offer a breakfast buffet but couldn't find the pricing on the menu and the waitress never mentioned it so we got entrees. I stuck with eggs, potatoes, bacon, toast, and gravy. Came here for breakfast while on vacation because it was close to our cabin and on the way to Pigeon Forge. My daughter had the kids pancake and my son and I had the bananas foster French toast. Took longer than expected to get the food. Food was pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. We had the breakfast bar. It had some hit or miss items and being the son of a restaurant owner some of the items were funny to me. Deep fried French Toast sticks from the freezer. Fried Apples from the can. Pre- portioned frozen biscuits reheated. Gravy from a can. Scrambled eggs Grits Bacon Sausage links Pancakes Edible but processed. Loved this place. Easy to get in and out of and a nice stop on the way to Cades Cove. The Wears Valley area has breath taking view of the mountains. About the food, it was awesome. I originally asked for plain pancakes but I stopped my waitress and asked if I could add chocolate chips. Ended up getting them and I don't think I was charged! I left a good tip though. The service was ok, and the decorations were nice but when we were seated we waited a while, which wasn't exactly nice. The food sounded good at first, I got strawberry pancakes thinking they were sticking the strawberry's in the pancake batter but they stuck about 3 on top and called that a strawberry pancake. I know pancakes are usually dry but I don't think I'd recommend them. The French toast sounded good though. read more

Delicious food. Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday and we were quickly seated and our waitress was fantastic. She told us they would be open for dinner that night, so we actually came back. The catfish was amazing! Lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. The coleslaw was creamy with just enough sweetness. The restaurant was clean and just about a perfect combination of kitschy and pleasant. Definitely recommend if you're in Wears Valley. read more

Our group of 10 adults and 4 kids were actually trying to eat at the place next door, but they were closed- fortunately! Hillbilly's was 15 minutes from closing, but graciously allowed us to come in and have dinner!! They have the most delicious catfish I've ever eaten; the meatloaf was huge and tasty. Our waitress was attentive and very personable. They have a truck that you pin money to, and then they donate it to a charity. I had the bananas foster French toast as my meal and it was amazing. The French toast was cooked fresh and had a nice crust with a gooey inside it was perfect. The thick cut bacon was also very flavorful. The restaurant itself is capable of handling many large parties at once and has a very roomy interior. All of the staff were happy and very helpful. Especially our server Amanda, I am not sure how she is so happy and awake at 8:00 in the morning, but I'm glad she was there to take care of us. "Upscale Hillbilly" would be my description of the category. Food selections seemed unusually adventurous, the decor was pretty impressive, and the food quality was good, though not great. Service was spot-on. The seating area and parking lot were reasonably spacious, as you might expect from a joint called Hillbilly's, I guess they know their market. The HVAC system seemed to working beautifully, and other infrastructural elements are good quality, so you know they're on top of their game. So the next time I'm nearby, I'm likely to return, though I don't give off the hillbilly vibe in my Prius. read more

My southerner friend and I shared a chicken fried steak, corned beef hash, sweet potato pancakes, french toast, grits, home fries, coffee and tea, and more delicious things. Too much food for two people, but many leftovers and the bill was less than a tank of gas. As a food snob, this place gets my full endorseent. Envornment is just perfect also. BEWARE!!! Not the best buffet in the county Maybe in the valley, wears valley that is, since it's the only one. If you are a fan of continental breakfast at a hotel, this is the place for you. Powder eggs, baked bacon, sausage from the freezer, etc..... just keep driving another 8 miles into pigeon forge if you want breakfast. My pancakes were really dry and I had to take a sip of water with every bite to get it down. I couldn't afford to send it back since we had already waited 30+ minutes after ordering. Food is great and quick coming out once you're seated. The host is quite unfriendly especially to larger groups. We were told they don't take large parties (we go every year with the same party) and it would be an hour and 45 minute wait. After 15 minutes we were called and upon seating there were empty tables everywhere and it was obvious she just didn't want to seat us. When we sat down there still wasn't enough room in the booth so we asked for a chair and were told no. We tried the homemade strawberry syrup- which is a 372910/10 SOO GOOD- as well as the Sweet Potato pancakes French Toast is COOKED TO PERFECTION as well as everything else. A small wait for a busy morning on a saturday since they are understaffed i believe but once we got seated we got attended to quickly. Small but a nice environment. The buffet didn't have much options but it wasn't too bad. I got the banana french toast and i'd honestly give that a 9/10. it's one of the best french toasts i've had, didn't need syrup, and came with the end of a banana which was hilarious to me. the ham was a bit burnt but still delicious. the area is so beautiful, shops around so you're not bored while waiting. overall was a good experience and a good breakfast restaurant to visit if you're in the area. read more

Food was just ok. They struggled to keep the Buffett stocked and I spent most of my time waiting for food to be restocked as they was a mad rush anytime the filled a slot. Coffee refills were equally hard to get and The menus are a tattered mess. read more

The reason we went here was because of the truck, I was really excited to sign a dollar bill and put it on the truck. I ordered 2 strawberry pancakes with ham, the ham reminded me of christmas spiral ham, but my pancakes were soggy and the strawberries weren't fresh cut, it was like small strawberries and jam. When I mentioned it to the waiter, she didn't say anything. The truck was cool, but if you're going to order a pancake, don't get it with the add-on fruit. read more

Hillbilly's is now serving dinner and has the best homemade grilled meatloaf ever! If you like the crispy edges of homemade meatloaf, you will love this. It is sliced and grilled so that all sides have that crispy edge taste. Delicious ! The other dinner items sounded good as well.
