They use very outdated systems for record-keeping and communication, although I was told they're updating some of this. You have to fill out a scantron for current symptoms at every check-in (no electronic check-in options). The waiting room is very small and seems to be constantly crowded. The staff at the desk aren't the friendliest, but they're professional and competent. I have had issues with the communication between the clinic and the lab, and turn-around for test results can be extremely slow. This is made worse by the outdated record-keeping and communcation systems. Unlike MyChart, test results are only posted after the provider has reviewed them. I'm being treated for PCOS (now PMOS). It's been a bit frustrating how much this office focuses on weight gain/loss. It's a symptom associated with my condition, but it shouldn't be the primary focus. If PMOS had been explained in terms of a metabolic disorder rather than simply an issue of stubborn weight gain, I would have been more keen on beginning treatment. Because I have a history of disordered eating and body dysmorphia, focusing predominately on weight can be triggering. This office would do well to update their approach to discussing weight issues. I'd also like to see providers at this clinic do a better job of caring for gender non-conforming/expansive patients. Not everyone who has PMOS is a woman! (As a side note, GLP-1 meds are almost exclusively advertised as weight loss drugs, but I'm only just learning that they have way more benefits for PMOS than just helping you to lose weight!) All of that said, I REALLY like PA Ameya Patel. My physician, Dr. Sheshadri, is pretty good but it was difficult to schedule with her and she can be slow to communicate test results etc. When I managed to get seen by her, our appointments always felt rushed and, again, very focused on weight gain rather than other symptoms. I did, however, appreciate that she seems to understand that calorie counting can be triggering for folks with a history of disordered eating. PA Patel, by contrast, always takes the time to really listen to my concerns and thoroughly explain my condition and options for treatment. I've been impressed that she remembers details from conversations we had months prior and her sensitivity to my particular needs and concerns. PA Patel was also very informed about the recent research on how to properly diagnose and treat PMOS and was prepared to explain some of the ways that insurance coverage can affect our options for treatment. Thank you, PA Patel!

I too have been harassed for a late cancellation charge for almost a year. I cancelled on a Wednesday for a Monday appointment. I get charged $12.50 a month on top of the $50 late fee. I thought the bill was a mistake! I never filled out any paperwork or created an account. I was never a patient and had no knowledge of his policies. I appreciate the convenience of being able to obtain a mammogram at his office, followed by the opportunity to discuss the initial results with Dr. Canale. Amazing cataract surgery outcome…read more I'm very grateful for ths skiils and care I received at Blue Ridge Surgery Center. I'm truly impressed by the outcome. Dr. Gupta operated on my right eye cataract yesterday. Before surgery, my right eye had significant ghosting in my distance vision while driving, watching tv, and even walking. Objects and text appeared doubled or shadowed, though the image would become clearer if I tilted my head way back--probably caused by my old worn out lens distortion. As of this morning after surgery, the change is remarkable. Distance vision in my right eye is exceptionally clear, with no ghosting. Images and color are so much brighter, sharper, and tv skin tones are noticeably more defined. It is like taking off bown tint sunglasses. The improvement in in just one day is dramatic. Special thanks you to the entire Blue Ridge Surgery team including preop nurse Morgan, and my anesthesiologist.

Several weeks later I received a bill with a substantial amount due. After contacting the office, I received a message that was basically a shrug of the shoulders along with "well that happens." So completely unprofessional and a slap in the face to any billing transparency! I will most assuredly contest the bill and will NEVER use them again for any reason!

This was supposed to be a routine preventive screening -- my last colonoscopy was almost 10 years ago, I had zero symptoms, and I only did it because their office repeatedly reminded me that I was due. The operative report itself states the procedure was done for screening, not because of any medical problem. Yet Raleigh Endoscopy Center submitted diagnostic codes to BCBS, which automatically triggered a denial. When I contacted BCBS, they explained very clearly that the only reason this was not covered is because the provider coded it wrong -- and that the claim could be fixed if the center simply corrected the coding. When I asked Raleigh Endoscopy Center to correct the coding, they flat-out refused. No explanation, no willingness to review the documentation, no interest in helping resolve the issue they caused. They simply pushed the entire problem onto the patient. To make matters worse, they never informed me before the procedure that they would code it in a way that BCBS would not cover. No warning, no disclosure, no conversation -- nothing. Had they told me, I would have asked questions or rescheduled. Instead, I was blindsided with more than $1,500 in bills for a preventive screening that should have been covered at 100%. The clinical staff were fine, but the billing and coding department showed terrible communication, zero accountability, and a complete disregard for patients. Once they have your money, they do not seem to care about fixing their mistakes. A simple 10-year screening turned into months of stress, appeals, and wasted time -- all because Raleigh Endoscopy Center refuses to correct an obvious coding error. If you choose this center, be extremely careful. Double-check every code, every form, and every insurance detail, because if they make a mistake, they will not fix it -- and you will be the one paying for it.

The most important thing to me was my lack of mental clarity. I was back on my game within 7 weeks. Every thing else followed and felt like icing on the cake. I would highly recommend HRC Medical. I know there are some dissatisfied folks but I believe they just do not wait for the results to happen and their expectations are probably not in line with how the program works. I believe the other reviewer is correct that you have to adjust your expectations but the woman I spoke with initially did tell me it requires patience and I was told that again by the doctor. As I said, I have been going for over 2 years and nothing will stop me from continuing. The only downside is the scheduling and rescheduling can be a pain but the front office staff are very nice and try to accommodate you and the nursing staff is caring. I want my physician and his staff to tell me what they know, which includes cost. Yes, it's my responsibility to ask, but it also their responsibility to tell. 2 - Not cultivating an environment of comfortable dialogue I would have liked Dr. Wessels and his staff to tell me about the procedures ahead of time - when procedures are advantageous and when they are not necessary. I understand an exam is often needed in determine prognosis. However, I would have appreciated the physician take a few extra minutes to show the patient dignity by having them sit up to share face-to-face any concerns and advice the physician may have as well as leave room for the patient to ask questions. Do NOT ask if a patient wants a procedure when he/she is in the midst of an uncomfortable and vulnerable exam. It's unprofessional and inconsiderate. The left the office feeling shame that I hadn't asked questions about cost nor advocate for a more comfortable setting, but also frustration that the physician didn't offer cost information up nor provide a comfortable environment to do so.

That being said, I was lectured about being late. Not once, but mutliple comments. In fact, more time was spent lecturing me about being late than actually inquiring into my health, past history, family history, et cetera. When the doctor arrived to perform the phystical, I recall it being ulta-short. I was coming from a previous doctor who was incredibly thorough, who asked a lot of questions, who had a holistic (in the sense they attempted to connect the dots to make sure that there wasn't a larger issue) approach, and who took a lot of time with their phsyicals. This doctor did almost nothing, asked virtually no questions, follow-up questions, and in general, just took my word that everything was OK. My previous doctor was probably a hold-over from the days when your family physician was thorough and put patient care before cost. My experience was that this place is a factory -- get them in, take some samples, spend as little time as possible with them, get them out the door. I'm not confident that having them as my primary care would really be beneficial in the sense that they could track my health year-to-year and catch something before it was problematic and/or diagnose something nuanced. I can Google the results of my urine and blood tests, so I'm not sure why I would drive across town to have them do it for me. I have switched to a more local primary care practice. It's nowhere near as throrough as my oldschool doctor that retired, but it's far more thorough than my experience at this facility.

Throughout the office visit, they are thoughtful and keep me informed of everything they are doing during the visit (e.g. steps in The Perfect Peel, areas where filler will be used, warning when I am about to be zapped by the laser, etc.) and are constantly checking on me to ensure that I am as comfortable as possible. After years of tanning beds, no facial sunscreen, harsh skincare, and only having Botox done quarterly instead of treating the entire surface with skincare and maintenance services, I have had a lot to catch up on over the last six months, but I can say that I am on a simple day and nighttime skincare routine and that, plus a BBL treatment, two chemical peels, and some hydrafacial action has DRASTICALLY improved my skin texture, pore size, hyperpigmentation, elasticity, hormonal and fungal cystic acne eruptions, etc. etc. etc. My results are always WAY BETTER THAN MY EXPECTATIONS! ALSO, the ladies at PrimeMD are ALWAYS working! Rather than selling services via social media, these platforms are used for educational purposes and responding to patients and potential patients that may have questions outside of regular business hours. I guarantee that every medical provider is an expert in any and all technologies, products, and services that they offer. From my personal experiences with aesthetics over the years, that is basically unheard of. I had been dealing with this rash on my chest for MONTHS and had been on topical and oral antibiotics, had had multiple blood panels done, and was even taking a large dose of allergy meds twice a day for WEEKS. Angie looked at my chest and recommended that I use a couple of drugstore products that help with fungal folliculitis and within DAYS, the rash was resolved! Another bonus: the facility is STATE OF THE ART but not "cold". It is warm and cheery, just like the staff! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
