Amazing cataract surgery outcome…read more I'm very grateful for ths skiils and care I received at Blue Ridge Surgery Center. I'm truly impressed by the outcome. Dr. Gupta operated on my right eye cataract yesterday. Before surgery, my right eye had significant ghosting in my distance vision while driving, watching tv, and even walking. Objects and text appeared doubled or shadowed, though the image would become clearer if I tilted my head way back--probably caused by my old worn out lens distortion. As of this morning after surgery, the change is remarkable. Distance vision in my right eye is exceptionally clear, with no ghosting. Images and color are so much brighter, sharper, and tv skin tones are noticeably more defined. It is like taking off bown tint sunglasses. The improvement in in just one day is dramatic. Special thanks you to the entire Blue Ridge Surgery team including preop nurse Morgan, and my anesthesiologist.

I thought the bill was a mistake! I never filled out any paperwork or created an account. I was never a patient and had no knowledge of his policies. I sent a check for $50 and asked that my account be paid in full. I never got a response. Ever. Just more bills. Know that a collection company will not come after you for a $50 bill, even if the late charges add up to hundreds. Please file a complaint. This practice needs to be investigated. It's not right.

Lack of Care: I felt that the staff at FastMed did not prioritize my care and were more concerned with casual conversations. High Cost and Inappropriate Prescription: I was charged $50 for a PA visit and received a prescription for a brand-name medication that was not covered by insurance, costing $425. I looked up the prescription and it comes in generic. But the PA was not concerned about updating the medication to the generic. Patient's Condition: I was very sick with a fever and needed medication immediately. Pharmacy Contact: I even provided the PA with the contact information for their pharmacy (Walgreens, 6 Forks Rd., phone number 919-787-1155) and asked them to call directly. PA's Incompetence: The PA failed to read the patient's notes, causing a delay in treatment despite my urgent condition. Medical Experience: I had trouble getting critical medicine and reaching the "PA's" office. Appointment Policy: Most medical facilities have a policy where if someone is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, they have to reschedule 24 hours in advance or pay a fee. The policy should go both ways. Recommended Doctor: I hugely recommend Capital Family Medicine and Dr. Short.

He provided thorough care and explained to both of us the best ways to treat the problem. He even took extra time to look up my records from last year to clarify a question my primary doctor had about that visit. The waiting area was clean & comfortable, except a few chairs that were peeling, and Wi-Fi was available, if needed.
