What a great recreation center! Parts of it are outdated like the entrance and check-in area to the…read morepool, but overall, it's an excellent recreational center. Here's why. 1) Indoor Pool: The indoor pool is kept clean and is pretty big with half of the pool shallow for kids to play in with splash areas and a water slide. The other half is laned for adults to swim. There are always lifeguards there and the space provides life jackets for kids and adults if needed. There are changing rooms with lockers too. 2) Amenities: Inside is a gym with treadmills, weights, and more, and other rooms for classes, etc. With a permit, you can rent their multi-purpose room for birthday parties and it comes with a small kitchen connected to the room. Inside are murals of the neighborhood by local artists. Outside is a field, a rocket ship-themed playground, a statue of a dap, and a field. 3) Parking: Free street parking is easy to find just outside the rec center. 4) Staff: I always find the staff to be friendly and reasonable. They are great!

I've been twice to use the gym, and I must say it's pretty decent. I'm a little hesitant to post…read morethat here because I don't want it to get too crowded, but it has everything I need for good workout. 3 treadmills, an eliptical (maybe 2), free weights, kettle bells, a bench and one of those weight machines that has lat pull downs and like 3 other machines in one. Also full length mirrors and good lighting so the gym selfies are always popping. My friends go to the indoor pool and they love it and when I pooped my head inside the gym, it looks pretty nice too. The facilities are super clean and the staff (that I've encountered) is really nice. They've really done a nice job updating this center. It's also free with a dc license so enjoy your tax dollars at work!

I am no newcomer to military campgrounds, having used them since 1982. I have stayed at over three…read moredozen different ones, Army, Navy and Air Force. This one is the worst, by far. The first thing I saw when entering the Famcamp was an overflowing dumpster; grossly overflowing. After setting up, our first trip is to the bathhouse. My wife informed me the ladies room was disgusting, and there was only one roll of toilet paper in the entire restroom. That was one more than in the men's room. The men's room also has more than half of the light fixtures inoperable (which did imrove the appearance). The grounds are also lacking basic maintenance, with trash and broken limbs lying about in various places. There is evidence of past improvements, such as concrete pads for the sites. It appears that the current leadership for the Famcamp has no interest in maintaining it.

Very disappointing experience. The amenities are unacceptable. The bathrooms and showers are…read moreunsanitary and unusable, and there is no laundry facility on the RV grounds. The game room has no heat, making it unusable in cold weather. During the recent storm, the RV area was not cleared or maintained. The rest of the base roads were passable, but the RV grounds were not, leaving us effectively stuck and unable to move our RV. Despite not being able to access or use our RV site due to these conditions, we were still charged. To make matters worse, management has been unreachable and has not returned calls. For a facility on a military installation, this level of upkeep and customer service is unacceptable. I cannot recommend staying here until basic sanitation, maintenance, and communication issues are addressed.

I hosted a team event at Level 99 + Victory Brewing Company for about 40 people that included food,…read moredrinks and games. The expereince at Level 99 was great. There are about 40 rooms of which each has different challenges and involve solving puzzles or executing a task in 1-4 minutes. Depending on how you and your team do you will be rewarded with stars or puzzle pieces for prizes. Everyone is given a wrist band that has a little badge that you use to tap when you enter a room to track your results. Many of the rooms require the participants to work as a team to achieve a goal. Some of the challenges are mental, physical, or require a high degree of coordination. This place is great for adults and I would say kids 8 and up. Teens would love it. I would not recommend this for younger kids. I have heard that this place has very long lines on the weekends. Since we went on Tuesday evening there was no wait for about 50% of the rooms we wanted to enter. And even in those cases we only had to wait no more than 2 minutes for the team inside to exit. It's a cool and fun concept and I would highly recommend it!

Expensive overall. Service was very attentive, they have a lot of staff and are prepared for big crowds. The gaming part is described well in other reviews. I'll foot stomp that it's not adults only, on a Friday night the place was overrun with teens which was unexpected, though everyone was well behaved. The gaming is not linear and it's hard to interact with a large group, you'll lose anyone who is not in your small group of six or so to the mass of games. The wait times for the game rooms were manageable and their tech works really well. Some games were more fun and better than others. The head to head dodgeball, light smacking games were the most fun. I'm not sure I would do another big event there but many of our group left super happy. I'd come back with a smaller group of friends, 4-6 and go through with them.
