It's the perfect place to enjoy the company of someone special or lots of good friends. I'm Bob Henderson and many of you know me as Bonsai Bob. I must confess, when I first heard about this not-for-profit opportunity for students, I was intrigued but hadn't made it over there to check it out, until I met Kirkwood one evening by chance, on a difficult plant extraction expedition. We have become friends since and I fell in love with Plantables. That said, I would not be endorsing the business if there wasn't something special about the atmosphere created by Kirkwood and Donna the owners, and the vision they have for investing a life savings into a business model designed to benefit young people. One of their main focuses is to teach young people how to serve customers in a public environment, operate parts of the business, as well as care for and grow a variety of plants to sell to the customers. Kirkwood (a landscape design architect and plant educator) and Donna, have a history of working in many places around the world, creating rich garden experiences for others and wanted to bring something special back to the Redding community. If you ask them, I'm sure they would love to tell you about the things they have been involved with Globally. The atmosphere is always wonderful with medium-to small seating areas around for semi-private conversations surrounded by pockets of bushes, flowers and unique art garden. Everywhere you turn there is something interesting to see. While the menu is not large, what is served has been really good! I love the pinenes with extra basil spread? Additionally, for several weeks of the year, Kirkwood and helpers teach a number of plant enrichment courses through Shasta College. When I retire, I can see myself volunteering there because of the mission to the students and the community.

Once a nutritious assortment...what I got today was a hacked…read moreup mess...with a packet of ' Italian" dressing that had corn syrup as the 3 rd highest ingredient behind sugar...no cottage cheese ..no sun flower seeds ..tiny bits of left over chicken.. a few canned odd tasting string beans.....one boiled egg . ,beet slices and the small orange were the only edible nutrition....it's sad to call that a nutritious meal..and even sadder to compare it to the former offering....I give it 5 stars for the people who volunteer and work there and one star to the cook and management who could be doing a lot better...not just throwing out inedible slop as one doctor friend labelled it..

The flavor was just ok. The pasta was also lousy, cold or barely warm, not done. The vegetables were barely warm enough to melt the butter. The pineapple pieces were warm, which is terrible. The milk was definitely not cold. I ate three bites of the chicken, about six pieces of the pasta, two or three pieces of the broccoli cauliflower and none of the warm pineapple. I drank the milk and stuffed the left over food into the milk carton and took it home. My dog didn't mind the lousy food and ate it. It cost me 3$ donation and 5$ in gas. It was not worth the 8$ it cost me. Terrible I would give it a one star because the volunteers and musicians were great.

The humbold victim advocacy program sent me here to determine the damage received during when my…read morenow ex-husband was strangling me. It was determined he caused a traumatic brain injury, which three years later has turned into brain damage. This was also to determine his charges, which became a felony due to long term or permanent damage. I was very scared through this process, but one safe place did in fact, help me feel safe, not judged, they did not criticize me, and I felt like they were actually listening. I met with the investigators there in a private room, and they offered me multiple outlets for additional help. While I am no longer in California, it is really good to know that there is a space in Northern California to offer a victim, male or female help. They were a great, caring staff with up to date technology.
