Great bowling alley if they ever were available. Have leagues non stop, never let the normal public bowl

Brought the grandkids here to bowl! Service was too notch and hamburgers and fries were AMAZING!!!!

Great little place to get some bowling in. The food is hit or miss, depending on who is working. The bar doesn't usually have a bartender but the guy behind the counter is happy to help when u need a cold one. Nothing fancy here but a good time nevertheless. read more

I've been coming to Hilltop Lanes with my family for years! Today we celebrated my nieces 7th birthday party, with around 7 kids and 8 adults. The building itself is pretty run down, but overall clean and well organized. The staff are friendly, but not very regimented about the party schedule, which I'd prefer. The man serving the pizza had long acrylic nails with no gloves, which worried me considering the potential risk of contamination. The pizza tasted like it was straight from the freezer but we didn't expect an italian feast and it satisfied the hungry youngsters! Staff was friendly enough, but can't really recommend this place. Took my son to a party at 11:30 on a Saturday and apparently there are a lot of "serious bowlers" in the area because people were being total jerks about the kids. The building/interior itself is very run down. read more

I will say this bowling alley is old and the balls are a bit worn, but my grandkids & I love to come here and bowl. The people are friendly & helpful. When we've gone there we're lots of families with kids so you don't feel like your interrupting a serious bowling game. I think they have bowling leagues and stuff that are set up for the more serious bowler, but for me & my grandkids age 6-17, it's a fun place to go. They love their food as well. read more

I enjoy bowling here. Friendly people and a good cafe staff and bar staff. Pro shop is unbeatable.

This place has the worst owners. They treat people that have bowled there longer than they owned the place like trash. Would never recommend anyone go here unless you bowl exactly like the owner. I know pro bowlers who trash this place as one of the worst places they have ever bowled at. read more

Horrible communication and customer service. Arrived at this blowing ally right when they opened to be told half the lanes are being used for a league and the other half for party starting in a few hours so since we dove 25 min we decided to wait. Well a hour and a half later they informed us there will be no lanes available today at all because they have it all booked up for parties. There should of been a sign on the door saying that!! They could of told us that in the beginning instead of leaving us waiting for nearly two hour why open lanes sat not being used but we couldn't use them which made no sense considering the party wasn't coming for hours and all my son wanted to do was bowl a few quick games. Thanks for wasting our time we could of just drove to another bowling ally if they would of said that when we walked in! read more

Starting coming here about a month ago as a replacement for pin center in cleburne. This place is awesome. Equipment works great. Scoring system works great. The place is extra clean. Staff if extra friendly. The pro shop is staffed far more than other bowling centers. The pro shop employees are very friendly and super knowledgeable. I've not had a bad experience here yet. Will definitely continue going. read more

So today the kids went bowling here again. We've been bowling here with various family and friends several times a year for the last 13 years we have lived nearby. Always has been very family friendly and clean place to go. The food counter has a few too many fried foods on the menu, but it also has lots of other options as well. We've had the grilled cheese, hamburger, nachos, and funnel cakes ... maybe other items as well. Pretty decent food for such a small kitchen, Also has a full bar. The alleys are well kept, even from our first visit here 13 years ago. But they have been steady upgrading the rest of the place. Each time we go we notice updates/upgrades. I go for the bowling. League bowling most mornings and evenings. Weekends are non-league days. They have a small but good Snack Bar and a separate bar. Nice folks. Daytime leagues are Senior leagues. Good exercise and gets us out of the house as many days as you like. New owners have recently remodeled the Snack Bar and brought in new workers. read more

I have loved hilltop for years now the employees have always have always been amazing and just made the night very welcoming and fun. Until recently the new new employees have kind of ruined the fun. When I try to speak to them they're always on their phones or laptops and dont pay attention to the customers. Im very bummed because it used to be my favorite place but lately I cant stand to go here with the rude employees. I hope yall fix this soon because there is a right and wrong time to be on electronics and when they are working isnt one of them. read more

This place used to be amazing. However, ever since they started updating and hiring new people it makes me sick to come here. The bartender is very rude. The old bartender was the sweetest person and followed the rules. This new one singles people out and makes them feel bad about themselves. Such a shame. I used to love to come here. I dont think I will be returning. Also I heard the new shift manager or something (im assuming the bartenders mom) talking about customers here and I did NOT appreciate what they said. Absolutely poor customer service, counter guy told us there was a 30 minute wait and we ended up waiting over an hour and new people who arrived at the bowling alley got a lane before we did so please save your time and don't come here read more

i used to love this place and coming here always brightened me up but recently i've been experiencing terrible service from the bartender, i can't recommend this bowling alley anymore because of this bartender. All of my family and friends who have gone have complained to me about the service and we now refuse to go back. The bartender is very rude to customers and we are her very last concern. Anytime you go up to the bar she is on her phone or on her computer not doing her job. She won't take orders until she is ready and when it best suits her. She must think she is getting paid to chit chat and play games on her phone, there is a time and place and behind the bar is not the place. She is extremely disrespectful compared to the past bartender who was the nicest, most caring worker. I'm sad I can't come back to my favorite place because the employees are ruining my experience. This is not the first time i've heard complaints about this specific bartender, I hope soon management fires her and hires a better hospitality employee in her place. read more

Is it a five star establishment? Not by a long shot. This is my families second summer to spend at Hilltop Lanes and we couldn't be more pleased. The staff is friendly and helpful, the kids have fun, the food is definitely..."bar food" I guess you would call it lol and the sweet tea is not too sweet. They have leagues for kids and adults, a juke box that will play as long as you can feed it, and laughs for days! It's not the nicest looking bowling alley around, but it is a nice family friendly establishment that you can enjoy making some memories within. Just taught our kids to play pool there after a couple rounds of bowling! They did awesome and were so excited. #memories read more

Mediocre bowling alley. The person who gave me my shoes was an older man who was completely rude and couldn't answer any of my questions. Why did you give me bowling shoes if none of the lanes were open? Do not yell at your paying customers. I'll drive to Ennis or Arlington to bowl next time. read more

This is a great place in hachie. Great bowling and a surprisingly great cafe. Definitely try the patty melt, it won't leave you hungry.

Was here to celebrate my birthday and left highly disappointed. This seemed like a nice, family establishment at first, but when we asked for help we received extremely poor service. The owner of this establishment was extremely racist and rude to my family and even our children. He accused the children of tearing up his business because they got balls stuck on the lane. He also told us if our kids didn't know how to bowl, then they shouldn't be there!! What a horrible experience!! We wouldn't recommend this place at all and will never be back. read more

I love this place. People are friendly and so supportive and helpful to our family as new bowlers. I joined a league and everybody is so encouraging on the teams. My teenage son and I go at 10 a.m. to practice; great bonding:) Love bottomless coffee for $1.00 and lg. water .25 cents! read more
