The customer service was outstanding. The low score is because the only thing available when we were there was the arcade and bowling. I took my basketball team in on a Saturday without any notice due to our tournament schedule, and the ops team made it work for us! They helped us out efficiently and gave me a good deal for my boys to be able to do all the activities at an affordable price. While they don't yet have all of the activities on the website, what they do have is great. Well the one exception is their shuffleboard table. It needs new equipment. But bowling, billiards, laser tag, escape rooms and the ropes course were all awesome! The pizza was pretty good too, and the parents enjoyed the beverages. We had a team event there and had a chance to spend time bowling and breaking bread together . We ordered a few Appetizers some were better (the fried pickles) some were worse (French fries swimming in white sauce) . All together around 3 stars. I also ordered the personal pizza which was just ok (3 :5). The service is terrible (the waiter forgot out many items and we had to repeat and order them again ), the drinks were Preeti bad as well (the fizzy sangria was just awful) . Main Event on a Saturday evening, obviously it's going to be filled up with people wanting to enjoy their night. Our server I believe her name is Asia , was the worst server. Keep in mind she only had TWO tables . The restaurant part was not full , was not busy. - I had a table of 6 people , asked for 6 waters and a beer . Asia came back and said "someone is preparing our water , which took over 20 minutes!!!!! FOR WATER The ice was melted , there were things floating in the cups and a sticky substance on the side. So we ask for new ones and ask if she can take the ones on our table. - The cups sat on the table for the entire time we were there. - She had no urgency to come back and check on anything , did not clear any dishes. - The other table she was serving also had not received their drinks for an extended amount of time. ( Family of 4 ) - Looking from across the room , you could see Asia standing by the bar doing absolutely nothing . The other table has not received any of their drinks and we were still waiting for our new cups of water. - We had to keep flagging her down because she would disappear. - By the time it came to pay , we used the tablet. Games - Huge selection of games but there is no sense in having a huge selection if they can't work properly! There was only one technician available to fix everything from the games to correcting issues at the bowling alley. Why is the leadership not in eating more in staffing or having proper backup ready? Food -This is a huge area of improvement. Staff needs to listen and get orders accurate. We sent our server back 5 times to get orders corrected. If we make an order, the server should check against the order to make sure they have everything before making the long walk to the bowling area. Bar - We ordered a Tito's Mule (Moscow Mule) which is a simple and straightforward drink. What did we get? We got a shot of Tito's! When we had it returned, what did we get? We got Sprite with a huge shot of Tito's! What gives? No ginger beer? We ended ordering beer which can't go wrong. My message to the staff: get it right! Train your staff and don't waste money throwing away food (yes that too went wrong) and drinks which only adds to the added costs for customers. Lots of room for improvement. As an out-of-towner, I was impressed with Main Event and what it offered. This location is in a popular spot with plenty of great restaurants, eateries and shopping nearby. They were also breaking ground for a large gym right nearby. At it's heart, Main Event is like a Chuck E Cheese on steroids. This location offered bowling, laser tag, gravity ropes, pool, and lots of arcades games (that mostly worked). Our party of 5 arrived around 3 o'clock mainly wanting to bowl and play some pool. The young lady offered an "all day pass" for just $28 per person. Since we didn't have any time constraints, it was a no brainer. Bowling: We started with this. There's probably about 30 lanes and when we started there were many empty lanes available. After an hour, I had to go back to the main desk to ask for an extension. After the 2nd hour, she said there's now a waiting list for lanes and we could only bowl for another 30 minutes. She did offer us to be placed on that waiting list. It would've been nice if we were informed of this "fine print" when we paid for the all day pass. As we were putting on our shoes to relinquish our lane, the 2 lanes next to ours were empty. Which begs the question why is there a waiting list when there are lanes available?!? Pool: With only 3 pool tables, I gave my phone number to the lady to be put on a waiting list for a table as we headed to the laser tag. Laser Tag: When we walked over we were told we had to make an appointment. However there was no one in the waiting or prep area. When we pointed this out, she said there was a cancellation and let the 5 of us suit up. After our game was over, we asked if we could play again, but were told we had to wait about 30 minutes. But again, there was no one waiting. By this time, I got a text that our pool table was ready. Pool: We walk over to pool tables. However, the young lady that took my number was no where to be found. I spoke to an employee who said they were trying to find her. As we stood there looking around, a manager was finally located. He seemed to be as puzzled as we were about how the pool table usage was being regulated. There's no signs stating how the tables were assigned or used so I think it's just whoever's working or in control of the pool balls. After more waiting the manager said gave the 5 of us a complimentary arcade card to play free games while we waited for a table. But before we could start playing, a table miraculously became available. I believe a big part of the confusion is that the 3 tables are located right in the middle of their in-house restaurant/bar and the tables were there more as entertainment for the patrons eating and drinking there. But again, they don't make that very clear and with only 3 tables in a "games/entertainment" venue, you really should have more tables or don't advertise billiards as an option for an All Day Pass. As a side note and avid billiards player, the pool table was very poorly maintained. I can't say I was very surprised, but it's worth mentioning that you should definitely not expect your cue ball roll straight on a slow roll. Arcade: We decided to leave to get dinner and returned to use our arcade cards. They was only one virtual reality type game using googles and I'm not even sure if it worked. There were a few broken games but there were no signs that said out of service. There were two games that utilize "parts" that were non-existent. For example, there's a beer pong game. After you swipe your card to start the game, there were no ping pongs that came out for you to use. I suspect that the balls were absconded and missing. Most were just regular arcade games with some games that give you "tickets" that can be redeemed for prizes. We tried one of their air hockey tables and it was barely playable as the puck was barely floating above the table. As mentioned, this location has great potential. Yes this was the Fourth of July weekend and I expected that they would be very busy. There were many kids running around having a great time with the birthday parties in session. But management would benefit from some re-coaching, employees need to be much more attentive and equipment better maintained. Dallas Fort Worth is a big place and with few direct competitors, Main Event can still strive to do better. For these reasons, I would be hard pressed to return unless every other place was closed. read more

We came for the Halloween Boo-wling event that was from 5pm-8pm. You have to pay for tickets before hand and it was about $40 total for me and my boyfriend. With the ticket, we got free candy, crafting event, costume contest, and 2 hours of bowling. I was stoked for the bowling because it was the main part of the event. However, we arrived around 6pm and apparently all their lanes were full with reservations. They had booked us twice with a big party in the lanes. They were practically taking all the space. We had went for a third time to tell them that our lane was full and they had booked us with two other people so we just decided not to bowling at all. The only thing out of this $40 event was the free candy. I would NOT advise to come here for events. They knew we were coming and still were not prepared, they lack planning ahead. Food is ok but horrible service. First they only allow 6 people to bowl on one lane in which I find weird as we seen that they had another groups of at least 8+ people using one lane. She also stated that we can't buy two lanes side by side which we also seen people doing as well. Before we purchased or our lane we wanted to bowl for one game and figured that one hour would be enough time for use to do and the lady at the counter told us that we can come up at any point to buy more time if need be so we said cool and agreed to to buy the one hour. We saw the group right next to us leave and asked if we could buy that lane since we had a few from our group not be able to bowl and they wanted to play their own game and was told no because someone else booked that spot so we let it be. When we first got to the lane the tables were dirty and a mess and had to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to come and clean the table so we can sit to get ready to play. It took our waiter for ever to come to order our food but the food and drinks were ok nothing special. In the middle of our game which we didn't even get the chance to finish the pin drop wouldn't go up which at this point we assumed our time ran out as there was no warning letting us know our time was up or we could then go and buy more time. We hurried over to buy more time in which the same lady said we couldn't because someone booked right after us and we were all shocked because she told us before we started we could add more time at any point and I was sooooo confused and upset because we spent money hour and game and we didn't even get the chance to finish our game which not only was a disappointment to me but also my nieces as this was their first time bowling. Once we realized that was over we wondered through the game area and my niece wanted to do the sky trail thing or whatever it's called and we were told that we had to book it and we were told they had a 2:40pm appointment and when we went to book it we were told they didn't have it available no more that the next time was at 3 so we booked that and waited near in which we saw absolutely no one at 2:40 but we still waited. At 2:55 we walked up waiting for her to do the activity and then a party host and their party come up as told us they were booked at 3pm as well which surprised us because once again they communicated something that wasn't true. After a while we got upset because they keep telling us things that made no sense and which really made us upset because if the information was clear we would've probably just went to a regular bowling alley but we thought this would be a fun activities thing for our three nieces to do which it ended up turning into a waste of time. I'm going to be honest, we didn't experience anything negative from our first visit to Main Event. We had reserved a bowling lane for two hours for 6 people ahead of time. When we got there, we checked in, got our shoes and they escorted us to our lane, they logged us in and we setup each bowler into the system and started bowling. Shortly after that, a server came around and we started ordering food and drinks. The server was great and the food and drinks came out really quickly. We had a blast!! We will definitely be coming back for more bowling. They have tons of other stuff for the kiddos, but bowling will be our thing. read more

Disappointing experience overall. Visited the Main Event in Grand Prairie with my family and unfortunately, it just wasn't a great time. Staff at the front desk were not friendly or welcoming. Several games were broken, and when we brought it up, the staff didn't apologize or seem to care. The worst part was the bar. We had a table right in front of it and ordered drinks through our server. After a few minutes with no drinks, the server came back, took our order again, and later apologized saying the bar was backed up. But from what we saw, the bartenders didn't seem backed up, they just didn't care. No hustle at all. Bowlers were clearly being prioritized, and people sitting at the bar were getting served just fine. Meanwhile, we were still waiting on a couple of beers. When your food arrives way before your drinks, that's a problem. Food was okay, not bad, but nothing special. The overall vibe wasn't great either. The place just felt dull and off. For somewhere that's supposed to be fun and lively, the ambiance was honestly kind of lame. What really stood out was the lack of management. Not once did we see a manager or leader checking in with guests or even with the staff. It felt totally unorganized, and no one seemed to be leading or stepping in to help. Management really needs to get it together and take a more active role in making sure guests are having a good experience. I definitely won't be returning. Have been bowling here a couple of times and it's okay. The bowling alley is in good condition with no mechanical issues which I appreciate. However, the atmosphere of the televisions behind the lanes playing documentaries was not my ideal as many dealt with heavy topics and I found it hard to concentrate on the fun of the experience. The laneside service was lacking as we waited for about 20 minutes before someone came by our lane to take our order. The worst was we saw them standing on their phone ignoring us the whole time until they could be bothered to stop by with our continual glancing to earn their attention. The prices were also very high for early morning bowling as the place was empty. We have since discovered Pinstack Irving offers morning bowling for a way better deal that is worth the drive. The food is nothing special and is a bit pricey. I was pleased with the gluten free options. Also drink prices range heavily. A mimosa cost us as much as a specialty cocktail so unsure how they go about ringing up orders. read more

We actually had a great time at Main Event on a Friday night, and it was during Spring Break. It was really crowded but the employees seemed to be working hard and taking care of customers as quickly as possible. We have a large group and first met in the dining/pool table area first and then we most of us were there we moved to our bowling lanes. We had 2 lanes and there was a lot of seating and tables to have drinks and food there as well. The arcade area was busy as well and looked like so much fun for kids. They don't check up on you as much, they dont sit you down at the bar area, and I weren't there after my prom and the severs were just rude, I think it's because they didn't think we were gonna tip but they for sure didn't get one after how they treated us. The food was good. I came here twice and had a bad experience the first time and the next time was just ok. On the ropes the lady said only one person on each cross over, she literally let a boy on the one I was on and he shook it while I was on it. I yelled at them and asked if it was one or two people, and she said it was one, and told the boy to come back, I'm pretty sure they were friends because she let the group of boys go throughout the course twice. The fooooood. Yes. Once again, 10 star service, at basically an arcade. Ordered a double bacon burger w/tots for self, again. 1 Kids chicky tender, 1 personal pepperoni pie. And a kids pepperoni pie. Mind blowing level of flavors. Every aspect spot on or better than ordered. Jooocey patties that taste like 1980 BK flame broiler. You know, when they actually did flame them up. The char was like a backyard grill. Red onions slightly sauteed. Fresh tomatoes, crispy lettuce. Bacon like breakfast. Brioche bun. I cut it in half sure I wouldn't finish. The other half made its way in. I just couldn't stop. It was meatgasmic. I had my way with it. Tots totted like they were sposed to. Crispy outside, hot and soft inside. The girls asked for one each, then one more, then all bets were off. I snagged some of their pizza. Better than any chain you can think of. Try it. Big pepperoni, double slices per square. This place has really let go. I went around 6pm Sunday and it was absolutely disgusting. To start, the women's restroom was a MESS. The floor was all wet and there were no caution signs. Only 2 out of the 5 or 6 toilets worked, they had sanitizer instead of soap because all of the soap dispensers were broken, and the stalls clearly hadn't been cleaned. EVERY SINGLE TABLE behind the bowling area was filthy. They all had dirty plates, cups, and trash on them. We waited for our bowling lane for almost two hours (which was much longer than was quoted) and no one started to clean them up until we were halfway through our game. And they didn't sweep, so the floor remained gross. We did the wizard escape room while we waited. One of the clue pieces was broken (specially the 2nd fake crystal on the fireplace is loose), so it ate up some of our time while we were trying to make it work. Service and drinks at the bar was good. Our server at the bowling area was fine, and food came out fast. Food was decent and we didn't have any problems with our bowling lane (we got lane 1). I have been to Main Event plenty of times across about 5 cities. This is the first time I had seen one this big and also with a great selection of quality games. Also they have a section for all ages that involves climbing sort of like urban air. The only thing I will say about this location is how packed it was. But even with saying that there wasn't a long wait on any of the attractions or games. We had a small discrepancy with a machine and the managers and staff fixed it immediately. DON'T ORDER FOOD FOR PICK UP. I ordered food using Doordash. The app confirmed the order and Door Dash driver arrived to pick it up. The dasher reached out to me saying they told her they haven't completed the order yet. 15 mins later, they tell her they never received the order. Great for families. They tend to get busy so plan ahead Ana make reservations for bowling and other group activities. The arcade could use more of a variety of games but it's centered to be more at the height and preference of children so I get it that it's not gonna be for the desire of what an older group may like. read more
