We placed a delivery order at 4:30 p.m. on 10/4/25. Their online order process is very specific, where you can check things that you want to add on your sub, even though they state they come with certain things. I ordered a chicken filet with just cheese; none of the other boxes were checked (I've done this many times). There were six items in the order, and it arrived at 5:20 p.m. The chicken filet had lettuce, tomato, mayo and onions, even though these boxes were not checked. I called, and the person who answered argued with me that those things come on the sandwich. I told her that none of the boxes were checked. Long story short, they said they would send another sandwich and that it would arrive quickly. The replacement arrived at 6:40. This was my daughter's birthday dinner (her request), and it was her sandwich that was wrong. We've ordered from Hilltop on a weekly basis for the last couple of years, but this has completely turned us off to them, and they will no longer get our business. read more

My family and I have been frequent, loyal customers of this shop for quite some time now. The last time we ordered, it was extremely late and cold. I reach out and they gave a small monetary reimbursement that I did not feel was enough at that time, but trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. We placed another order tonight and the same result; late and cold. Again, reached out and given $5 refund. This was completely unacceptable for the quality being provided. Based on my first experience I have to start this carry out spot with 4 stars. Hilltop is in the location where Spyro's used to be. The employees there are extremely friendly and offered suggestions on their menu. They allow you to order your wings with 2 flavors. I ordered half Lemon Pepper and half Old Bay wing. I also ordered a sign of mango habanero. As you can see by my pIcture, the wings are a nice golden brown and they are seasoned very well. The mango habanero was sweet and spicy! It was a great mixture of the two.. It is not always easy to find a cart out spot with good flavored wings. My first visit here was a good experience! read more

I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with this meal choice. Looks can be deceiving! Backstory: I had the biggest taste for a fish sandwich and contemplated going from McDonald's to a random far out sub shop for one. That's when I remembered Hilltop was near my home. My family raved about their sandwiches in the past, so I thought I'd try them out. Here's the spin, though: I wanted a fish sub with fried shrimp included. I didn't know if they could even do this & I was worried about how much they would've up-charged me if I asked. So, I called and ordered a half fish sub and a jumbo shrimp box (came with French fries). It took about 20 minutes or so before my order was ready. The restaurant definitely takes all measures to ensure the safety of patrons. The cashier was very nice, which is always a plus. My order came to $21 and change, $25 and change, including tip. I headed home and immediately prepared to eat. The sub container was hassle free and nestled the sandwich perfectly. The fish sub looked very good. The shredded lettuce was fresh and perfect, the fish itself looked good. I opened the shrimp box, and I believe it came with 8 butterfly shrimp. The shrimp were of the frozen variety. Nothing to write home about. The flavor was definitely lacking, but I overlooked that part because I knew I was going to put the shrimp in my sandwich. I placed the shrimp between the bread for what looked like an epic fried seafood sub sandwich creation. But then...I tried the fries. They were pretty awful. I usually eat all my food because I simply like food and I don't like to waste, but they were bad. Salt, pepper, and ketchup could not save them. They were not fresh at all. They tasted like they fried stale fries that had been sitting all day. They were hard, yet spongy. Warm, yet kinda cold. In the pictures included, you can see that I barely ate them. The sandwich itself was pretty filling. While it had a good taste, I got full pretty fast and realized I could done without the boxed/frozen shrimps. I would definitely go back for the fish sandwich by itself. All in all, I'd give everything a solid 6 1/2. read more

Tried this place after people raced about it on a Facebook group. Everything was delicious! My wife and I got a large bacon pizza, cheesesteak sub and fries to split. Hilltop and Pauly's Pizza used to have the best food in the Perry Hall/White Marsh area. It has always been hard to find good pizza, chesse steaks and especially wings in this area. Hilltop used to have good wings. i ordered 10 buffalo wings and 10 old bay wings tonight (12/23/23) however and they were literally the smallest, worst wings ive ever had. i dont knoq if they changed owners or just started trying to save pennies but ive never been more dissappointed. i actuallt had to order more wings from Pauly's. guess im down to one place now i can order from in this area read more

The website for online ordering is not accurate. The item does say boneless wings but they put a picture of bone-in wings so I was confused. There also was not an option for normal wings so I figured they just made a typo, and I was ordering bone-in. When I went in to talk to them about this, the man at the register seemed disinterested and seemed like he didn't even know what he was talking about. I was very disappointed to open my bag and see that I payed almost $10 for Tyson chicken nuggets with bbq sauce just squirted on top, they weren't even tossed in the sauce. The cheese fries were okay at best, and the Buffalo boneless wings weren't that good. Between the false advertisement and the poor customer service I would not recommend this place at all. read more

This is a solid neighborhood pizza and sub shop. However, it doesn't rise to the 4 or 5 star level in any way. I've eaten here three or four times over the last five months. The cheesesteak sub is pretty good. For Italian cold cut subs, keep driving a few blocks. I ordered a fish sandwich and it is a swing and a miss. Frozen fish patty on a store bought kaiser roll is not worth the effort. They need to get some fresh cod or haddock to beer batter and fry, then they'll have something. The should also consider baking the rolls, store bought rolls are not worth a darn. Also, lettuce shouldn't be shredded to the consistency of confetti. There is potential here at Hilltop, they just need to add a pinch of passion. read more

Ordered a small meatlover's pizza minus bacon plus onion. A little extra sauce (I know...picky!). They made it exactly right and it was delicious! Great sauce, plentiful toppings. I ordered from here and was very dissatisfied. My order consisted of two fish sub combo and they were just one piece of fish broken in half to make a sub. The French fries was the best thing from my order and that's why I gave it two stars. I also ordered HOMEMADE ICED TEA but was given a bottle instead.
