Our electronic Pool robot has had a few mechanical problems over the years. Hilltop is always happy to help. They are an authorized service center. I don't need an appointment, they are right there to diagnose the problem and order the parts. One time a part was going to take a few weeks, so they put it together enough for me to use it for a few weeks and then I brought it in for him to swap out the needed part. I really appreciate their flexibility and professionalism. And I think their prices are very good. sadly, we had to go back to them again today, and within hours they called with the estimate to repair the robot and have the parts on order. Awesome service from Mike the owner. His 18 years in the business really shows. I had been searching for a tank o-ring for our 25 year old Purex pool filter. I must have called about 10 of the Leslie's pool supply stores and everyone was clueless. I even called the Pentair company which had bought out Purex and they could not help me. But as soon as I called Mike he knew exactly what I was talking about and most importantly had the O-ring I needed. We installed it and it works perfectly. We will be going back to Hilltop to purchase a new filter in a couple of months. Hilltop's prices are very reasonable and you cannot beat having a knowledgeable person help you with your Pool needs. We were having serious yellow algae problems. Brought the water in to be tested, which they do willingly and free. They gave us a thorough run down on what the problem was and how to handle it. My Husband did something to our pool filter and next thing you know, there was no water filtering back into the pool. What once was blue, quickly turned green. We went to Hilltop and met up with Mike, the owner. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to pools. He even took time out of his busy day to call us to get more info on the issue we were experiencing. He then contacted one of his colleagues, Dave and scheduled to come to my house. Dave arrived an hour early on the promised date and put CO2 through the filter. Everything checked good. He did a little more trouble shooting and he had quickly found the problem. We had to change out the backwash piston. Dave left, but then came back unexpectedly with the part an hour later and installed it. Omg, it works!!! I couldn't have been happier. I would definitely recommend Hilltop Pool Supplies in Yucaipa, CA to anyone in the surrounding area with a pool. Don't waste your time. Doesn't answer phone, return calls or even show up during his posted business hours. Can only imagine if I had a warranty issue. Went to Leslies up the street instead. Always open, professional and the owner is super knowledgeable. Bought a new Intelliflow pump-exact same price as Amazon & E-Bay's best price. Leslies service department called the same day and scheduled installation. 3 year warranty if you purchase and let them install the pump. Labor $250. AND they answer the phone and show up! read more

So for anyone in the Calimesa, Yucaipa, Beaumont Banning or Southern California area do not and I mean do not waste your time and money with this company. I can not tell you how inadequate of a business man the owner is. I walked into the store to purchase a pool pump. After purchasing the pump I was handed a copy of my credit card receipt but no invoice. The owner Mike said the invoice would be handed to me on the day of installation less than 7 days later. On the day of installation the invoice was not there. I called Mike and was advised he would put it in the mail or I could drive and pick it up (25 miles away from my house). 1 week later still no invoice. I finally arranged to drive to his shop to pickup a small receipt copy since he could not mail it or email it. Was handed a small register receipt which had 4 lines of the purchase Labor Materials Pump Filters. This receipt was not accepted for any rebates as it is missing the name of the pump. So I called the owner to ask for a detailed receipt or invoice hand written typed anything and was told he did not know how to make an invoice. I cannot believe this guy is still in business. He did not even do the installation he hired it out which is why it cost me 230 bucks in labor. What a rip off. read more
