I've lived in my pool home for over 7 years and throughout all the struggles and hardships of maintaining my own pool in the early years, these guys have always been there to help. Not only would they recommend which products I needed to maintain my pool, but they also educated me as to why I was having problems and how to correct them and get my water looking crystal clear. About 3 years ago I hired a pool maintenance person to keep up with the pool cleaning because I just found it more convenient. Just this week however, I was having issues with pools parts that I ordered online for my filter clamp. Keep in mind the manufacture no longer makes a clamp for my DE filter so I had to make these parts work. I take the newly ordered parts and the clamp itself down to this store and sure enough they make them work by tapping the threads on the bolt and voila, perfect fit!! Something I was starting to stress about and they make it look easy. I asked them how much it was for their time and help and being the nice guys they are they told me not to worry about it. This type of service is hard to come by now days, and the least I can do is write a review about their wonderful service at this great pool supply store. As for the walk-in portion of the store, they have a great selection for being able to pick up parts same day when needed. I called many other stores for parts for my pump and had not be able to locate them anywhere. Though with this benefit comes a bit of a steep price hike, which is understandable though for holding inventory. Will definitely return if I need a part day of.. Though what really drove me to hop online and post a review is their pool repair and servicing services. After battling with my pump and plumbing for my pool for about a week (which consisted of changing out o-rings, gaskets, main seal and impeller for what appeared to be an air leak) I decided it was time to call a professional before I did more harm than good I made an appointment Thursday and they made it out Monday morning. The technician that arrived was on time, very kind, and extremely thorough in explaining what may be the issue and steps I could take aside from those that would require a service call actually. He asked me to perform those tasks and let him know if they worked for me and if they did not he would return the following day; in a very honest attempt to save me some cash. I performed the tasks and had no luck, so I let the technician know and he scheduled me for his first stop the following morning. Not only did he quickly discover the issue, solve it, and explain how to prevent it, He than proceeded to repair another issue that may have caused a problem in the near future at no cost extra from the service call. Will definitely be making a call to San Bernardino Pool Supply the next time I have a issue beyond my capabilities. They have been doing my pool for years. The old owner and his group of sales reps, are by far the best in the area. They have installed a pool pump, filter, re-piped, cleaned and unclogged my pool a number of times. Price is always low. After the big fire years ago....they drained and cleaned my pool for 100 bucks. Never will I forget that. Great job guys. read more

Worst company ever. Had employee pee, yes pee, on our driveway, did not do service but still billed us, put us on "supervisor route" still didn't get service when we were suppose to and only half of service done. Guess what we were still billed for full services. My husband told them the one department that works great was the billing because we always got that bill on time. When he called to cancel service he spoke to the owner and the man didn't care. He didn't apologize for bad service, didn't do anything other than so okay. I'm sorry I have taken them for granted and not highly recommended them before now. As an example, my pool pump motor quit over the 4th of July Holiday. SBPS gets all my pool-related business. It is where I purchase all the supplies we need to maintain our pool, and they're who we call when there's something we can't fix for ourselves. They are knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. Whenever we've needed a repair, they've been able to get someone to our home within 2 days. They give great advice and their ability to diagnosis problems just based on a description of the issue is really impressive. My pool sweep was not running and air was coming into the pool from somewhere. I called and SB Pool Service said I would get someone to look at it on Tuesday (This was Saturday). Next thing I knew, John showed up from the company. He found I had done a few things wrong in my maintenance. I learned a lot from John who was very patient and kind and knew what he was doing. In minutes he found my air leak! He cleaned my filter (which was overdue) and replaced some parts. I felt I got a good deal from this company price wise and a great deal with my service technician. Great service! Jim our pool repair man helped us new homeowners!!! We had been having problems wth our vacuum and all it needed was tightening of the gaskets on the pump. He also gave us a little 101 pool care! He was so knowledgeable and friendly!!! He showed us little things we could do to fix some small repairs and gave us hope that our pool wasn't gone!!! Even before he came out, SB Pool had a small consult before to see what the problem was. It was the best $90 spent on the pool!!! Thank you SB Pool! I've been a customer for years. Was very satisfied with the service until the last 9 months. Poor service on our pool. We had to call them when we noticed algae and they apparently never noticed when our equipment was in need of repair. The final straw was when they OVER charged for a pool cleaning after the last storm (started at $1000, my final cost was $250). When I went in to complain, they had no idea what their service people were telling customers. I was even told by one of their employees that they charged a customer for a repair when they caused the problem. When I was in the store, the manager I spoke with made racist remarks (told me I should get Jose, who works out of his truck). I think I find a quality service company who isn't so rude! read more

You want to AVOID this business at all cost. Employees and management are very rude, impossible to communicate with, and show very little concern when it comes to their employees lack of skills and knowledge. Our pool guy allowed a perfect stranger to come onto our property and walk all around our home without permission. When asked not to do this again, his response was very rude and confrontational as though it was his property. We immediately called the office and asked to speak with the manager regarding this incident and got the same response from him (very rude). We requested another service tech and was told by management there was no one else to replace him. This is by far the most UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever had to deal with. If you are looking for a pool company to take charge of your property, this is the one. In my opinion, this is a very dangerous practice. We are still trying to communicate with management to get a prorated refund for services not rendered. read more

My neighbors have San Bernardino pool service, today my wife went into our backyard & the pool guy was hitting our dog with a garden hose through the wrought iron fence, then he proceeded to spray our dog with water. His name is Aldair, ignored my wife, then got verbally abusive, saying the dog was barking at him. I want my dogs to bark at strangers, coyotes, other dogs, etc. As he left he flipped my wife the bird. I contacted his supervisor Greg, who said his employee admitted to spraying the dog & flipping my wife off & they were not going to do anything about it except change his route. I called back to talk with the owner Jim. He was very arrogant & said he would only offer an apology, 7 minutes into the conversation I never got an apology. He felt it was not a big deal & shouldn't fire Aldair. This after the employee admitted to what he did. Hopefully my neighbor cancels services. Several of my friends have gotten ahold of my wife & said they have let go their services because of this arrogant attitude. read more
