Waterfront Plumbing (the father, Vicente) was available and they came out and provided me with a quote $650. Vicente verbally explained that there would be, "extensive digging required to reach and inspect a leaking pipe" in my front yard. Hearing his explanation of the work I assumed this job would require several hours. I agreed based on the description and details. However, To my surprise, there was NO digging literally ZERO, and he finished the job in 45 minutes. When I questioned him about the obvious discrepancy between what was verbally told to me and what was delivered on top of the fact it took less than an hour, I was met with, " you could have gone with someone' else." I was shocked Vicente stood firm on the $650. Lesson learned, we did receive an additional quote for $250-350 for the same work. $10 PVC pipe cost, but again based on the verbal description provided by Waterfront, we believed that the other plumber was grossly underestimating the extent of work required. Then we had a family friend with their own reputable plumbing business (not in SD, but OC) urge us to say something b/c we were definitely over charged. I hope this encourages others to ask for a detailed list of tasks and work on paper with a cost breakdown. I know we'll do that next time.

EMERGENCY!!! We…read moreneeded to replace our washer so we were taking out the old one. The hot and cold washer valves were so old that they were fused in the on position- they started leaking and wouldn't stop! We called Michael and he was over within an hour- he fixed those valves with shiny new ones at the best price we found! Very grateful for his professionalism, promptness, cleanliness, and efficiency. Our kitchen & bathroom faucets needed to be replaced because they were old and two were leaking…read more We decided to buy the faucets ourselves and have Randy install them. He and his assistant were very friendly, down to earth, arrived on time and installed the faucets in a timely manner. Randy also gave us maintenance tips. When he left he told us to call him should any of the faucets leak and that he'd come back asap. Well one of the faucets did that evening and he sent his assistant the very next day and thankfully it just needed slight adjusting and tightening. We'll be calling him again for our future plumbing needs.

Greg was able to come out within a couple days and not only was he super nice but so incredibly helpful. I thought I was having an issue with the water pressure in my home because my showers had 0 pressure. He discovered it was simply both shower heads and replaced one right then and there, free of cost. He took the time and was very thorough with the entire process and I couldn't be more gracious. How often have you had a professional plumber threaten you with physical violence?…read more This clown came to my house (he was sent by my landlady) and within 5 minutes he had turned a minor faucet leak into a moderate faucet leak. He stripped out a key screw head by using the wrong screw bit and then stated that it was too hard to replace. A simple Moen valve cartridge,a simple 1hour job at most with a $30 part. That he would have to come back the next week. When I mentioned to him that I had never had a plumber just up and quit like that -He lost his cool- to say the least! I should say that I've been a General contractor for nearly 40 years and no novice when it comes to dealing with subcontractors. But this was unbelievable! So long story short, he storms off and vows never to return! Ouch!! Talking to my LL about it afterward (she had seen /heard most of the incident) I find out he was going to charge her $900.!! I figure he sensed that I was not a pushover so decided to exit early! I can think of no other logical reason for his behavior. So be forewarned this guy is bad news.
