Fabulous. Room is clean, nice pool and exercise room, excellent heating and cooling, food is great, and the store of snacks is incredibly well stocked at reasonable prices. And plenty of accessible parking even if you have a truck with a trailer. Beds are super comfortable with a nice assortment of pillows. Lights in room are plentiful and thoughtful. Outlets everywhere you'd want one, and even a wireless charging pad. read more

Solid hotel, located conveniently by the highway, but far enough to avoid excessive noise. Stayed here for a buddies wedding and the rooms were clean, the beds were soft and showers were hot. They sold cold cased of New Glarus in the lobby and staff was pleasant and helpful. My biggest gripe is that the gym was not 24 hours. I understand the pool not being open at all hours, but see no reason why they need to restrict gym hours. Overall good vibe and would stay here again. read more

Being a Hhonor member, I was able to reserve a room on the app even though this was a last minute reservation... actually as I was finding parking at the hotel. By the time, I had at the front desk, my reservation was in the system. Lisa, Guest Service Agent, had greeted me. She very pleasant while telling me about the hotel's amenities and about my Hhonor privileges at the hotel. She is a true gem to the company! After dropping my luggage in my room, I had explored the hotel. The lobby is very inviting with a large seating area to the left of the entrance and to the right was the breakfast/bar area. Also, on the first floor, is the pool area with plenty of seating area. The fitness center is on the small size, however, offers several cardio machines and some free weights. Back to the room.... the standard bathroom was to the left of the entry. To the right was the "wet bar" without a sink but offered a microwave, small refrigerator and the coffee maker and condiments. The room was descent size with a plenty of walking space between the king bed, entertainment / work area and the seating area with plenty of lighting! I was pleased with the room. In the early part of the evening, I decided to head to the bar area and catch up with some computer work at one of the tables. There were a few guests in bar area. I had ordered the house Pinot Grigio through Emily, bartender, and she brought the menu for me to review. About 20 minutes, I had decided to try the Mobley Burger with fries. Within 10 minutes or so, the meal was delivered. WOW... the burger was really good - prepared correctly and well flavored. Throughout my stay, Emily would check in with me. I went back to the room for the evening and just chilled out. The bed was very comfortable and firm so no complaints. Just a great room to relax in. The next morning, I went down to the breakfast area where Nan had greeted me and went over the options. You can do the continental breakfast which included various fruits, cereals, pastries and juices. Or the Full Breakfast so I sat at one of the tables, wrote up my order (form is on the table and very easy to complete) and placed my order... an omelette with a side of bacon. The portion was just right for breakfast. Breakfast was a little busy, but Nan had everything under control. Checking out was also very painless. Overall a great experience at this Hilton Garden Inn. What a lovely property! (And being across from Starbucks was a definite plus!) The facility was incredibly clean, as was our room. The room as spacious and quiet. The staff were friendly. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel. Everything is very clean and new looking. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. My wife thought the bartender was so polite and friendly that she wanted to take her home with us If you have multiple people that need table space in the room, that might be a problem. This is definitely where we will stay when we return in the coming weeks. read more

First I want to thank Jamie and her co-worker whose name I didn't get at the front desk for having empathy. I arrived and they couldn't find my reservation. I showed her my confirmation and I made the reservation for March 4th instead of February 4th as well as it being made through a 3rd party which I didn't realize. They told me to cancel the reservation I had and she was able to find a room for me. It was a business trip and I was meeting a co-worker. I was near tears but she took care of me and I really appreciated that. The hotel itself was clean and very nice. I heard the food at the restaurant was good but I didn't eat there. The room was comfortable. The only thing that was slightly annoying was I was on the 2nd floor and it sounded like someone was bowling above me. So if you have a choice pick a room on the 3rd floor so no one is above you. I would definitely stay there again. There are also plenty of restaurants very close too. read more

If you're staying in Oconomowoc, you have few options for hotels. This is a decent place to stay with friendly staff and good amenities. I would say it's generally well taken care of! We stayed during a winter storm and they did a great job plowing out the lot, although the overnight plowing was super loud and woke us up. There were some spots on the walls, cracks, dents, etc. but nothing we would have complained about. The bed was clean, the TV worked great and was an updated flatscreen. The carpet didn't look super clean and the couch and cushions seemed pretty old. Still, a good place to crash. They have a lovely little pool and hot tub with towels and a little work out room. The front lobby is very large. Breakfast for $12 in the morning is pretty underwhelming. If you want to pay $6 for continental, it will get you going. We had dinner in the bar area and it was actually pretty good food. We would stay here again and I recommend it for traveling through this area. read more

You come to lower your expectations when staying at hotels in the middle of nowhere but this Hilton Garden Inn showed us we were wrong. This beaut was recently built and boasts several tidy and comforting amenities like a coffee and tea bar in the lobby all hours of the day, very clean rooms, ample parking, a pool and breakfast buffet on the weekend (not complimentary but it appeared to be a nice hot breakfast). This location is also within arm's reach of the highway and a handful of food and shopping options. If you're en route between Madison and Milwaukee, this spot is for you. It's right next the freeway so that's convenient but without the noise pollution . Not a bad place to stay when you're in the middle of nowhere. I was in Oconomowoc for a conference and this was the hotel they arranged. We had a quick check in and were given free bottled water. Myself and my colleague had forgotten our toothbrushes and grabbed some to buy, and they gave them to us for free, an extra star for that! The beds were really comfy and there was a coffeemaker in each room. There was a cute lobby with games to play and breakfast choices as well. There was a shopping center across the way with a Starbucks if you didn't want to eat there. I doubt I'll ever go back to Oconomowoc but if I do, I'll stay here. read more

Like similar reviews, this hotel is nice and clean but the staff is disorganized and not professional at all. We just checked out from a weekend stay while visiting our son who is a cadet at St Johns. The hotel has a nice location and is relatively comparable to other Hilton's in Wisconsin. At first glance it is much larger and nicer than the Hilton Garden in Oshkosh where we frequent often. Our son last minute wanted to stay with us Friday night so we asked for an extra room. No problem. The following day at noon, I called and spoke with Maggie to communicate we would only be staying in one room on Saturday night, room 220. She said no problem, but failed to check to see apparently when my husband made online reservations he booked the second night for Saturday night not knowing our son preferred to stay the Friday night. I didn't know once you book online (according to staff later) you prepay and it's nonrefundable. At 11 pm last night, a staff member by a J name (Jeremo?) called and awoke my husband and I to discuss our reservations. I asked him if this was some kind of a joke?! I calmly explained we spoke with someone to verify we were only in the one room earlier that day so there should be no confusion. He said I was mistaken, that he was waiting for us to check in. I told him we've been checked in since Friday. If they had questions about our room, they had plenty of time to call us after the 3 pm check in time. He was not friendly at all, nor did he apologize for calling so late. Never in my life has someone called me that late at night to discuss my reservation. It was rather upsetting. The next morning we arose early for mass. I headed downstairs to talk to a manager about the matter. No one was at the front desk so more frustration. When a cleaning lady heard me saying HELLO she went back and found someone "in charge". When I told the manager someone from her staff called me at 11 pm she did not look surprised. She said she told (j name) that we would be arriving. She only charged us our room 220 charges for Friday and Saturday when I would have happily paid for the extra Friday night room as well. I was looking for a simple apology. She was not friendly, which is what I was looking for. A little kindness goes a long way and clearly this hotel management does not understand that. From now on we will be staying at the staybridge which offers a larger room and a more quiet nights sleep. I'm also looking forward to trying out the Delafield Hotel next time we come which will be in a couple of weeks! If I could rate my experience with this hotel with a negative star I would. I had a hotel block for my recent wedding in Oconomowoc, and an interaction with the hotel manager my parents had was appalling. There was a $60 charge for "long distance" phone calls but my area code is 414...not long distance. I should preface this with my parents do not have a cell phone so this was the only way they could contact me this weekend. When they got home, they called the hotel and spoke to the manager to dispute the charges. He did lower the rate to $15 which they had no problem paying, however, my mom had mentioned it was for her daughter and daughter-in-laws wedding the manager stated " well I don't need to take anything off the bill then." and hung up on her. I'm sorry but if you have a problem with my marriage then take that up with me, not my mother. Just another act of modern day homophobia not a good look for you Hilton. I will be sure to take my business elsewhere from now on and urge everyone to stay away from this location!! The whole stay was nothing short of a dumpster fire. -10 out of 10 would not recommend. read more

This hotel has a lovely lobby. The happiness stops there. I just got married near Oconomowoc and the Hilton was the closest, "nicest" place to stay. I'm really embarrassed that I sent roughly 70 people to this hotel for a full weekend. We had to move rooms three times because the air conditioner was causing all the rooms on the third floor to smell moldy and a little like an open sewer, but changing rooms didn't make that much of a difference. The beds were not comfortable and in our "suite," the sheets were stained with what I hope was coffee or tea. And one of our guests was harassed when the staff had trouble processing his credit card. He got the message, immediately called the card company to rectify the situation, and while he was still on the phone, a front desk clerk came to the door and demanded another card or his immediate departure. As much as I didn't want my wedding weekend to end, I was SO happy to check out of the hotel this morning. read more

This Hilton does not deserve the name while the building is fine the lobby rooms pool area are nice but the service stinks, the reception for the most part is manned by unattractive minimally attentive staff I'm talking about a crisp professional attitude not beauty. The whole sloppy attitude is carried over in room maintenance cleaning. Even-though the hotel is relatively new it has a worn look for several month the treadmill cannot be raised there are often no wipes, the newspaper is delivered only sporadically in short not what you expect from Hilton it's the management not the property. Stayed overnight for the first time and what a pleasant surprise. Wasn't sure what to expect but the Inn is beautifully decorated and maintained. Friendly and efficient staff. Pleasant and inviting lobby atmosphere. Loved our room. Super quiet. Super clean. Nice bathroom. Loved the fact the room was equipped with a mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Great value for the room price. Thought the breakfast was relaxing and good, but a bit pricey. Overall a very happy experience. Will absolutely return. read more

When I have to come to our Wisconsin office, this is where I stay. It's a good location, staff is friendly, the rooms are consistent with respect to cleanliness. Breakfast is average, but sufficient to get your day started. Rooms have a mini fridge and stocked with coffee. I appreciate that they provide plastic covered cups instead of glasses which I always feel compelled to clean before using it. read more

Terrible customer service. The manager is a heartless awful person. I made honest mistake booking that prepaid for the room through Expedia. I had the date wrong and they would not allow me to change the date and kept my payment even though I caught the error shortly after booking. Expedia tried to call them too and the answer was still no. The manager needs to consider another line of work other than hospitality. They now can double book the room I accidentally booked. I've stayed in this hotel probably 8 or 9 weeks in the last 3 months. Every week I check in and lose patience. I'm going to start looking for a new hotel to stay in while doing business in Oconomowoc. Pros: Location. Immediately off the highway, walking distance to a shopping center with food and a Starbucks. Cons: FILTHY. Every single week I walk into a new room and find curly black hairs all over the bedspread and bathtub. The housekeepers do a terrible job. The shower gets clogged up after two days because they don't clean the hair from the drain. Sometimes they forget to clean the coffee maker or give me clean glasses and mugs. I just feel dirty after staying here. And then the housekeepers leave an envelope for a tip and I just laugh. The air conditioners in several of the rooms make awful noises that would wake me up in the middle of the night. This horrible rattling that would not stop even after I piled up all my stuff to weigh it down at 2am. The restaurant has some good food but BOTH times I've eaten there, I did not get the salad that comes with the meal. I eat in my room so it's not like I can just flag down a waitress. Considering how much the food costs, this is insane. In EVERY room, the cable TV flickers. I'm not kidding, every of the 8-9 rooms I've stayed in. The cable just turns off for 1-2 seconds. But sometimes it will do it so often, you might as well not be watching TV. I've tried checking for loose cords and unplugging and replugging, but alas. I'm a silver HHonors member, and this is such a small thing, but twice now, they've forgotten to give me my water bottles on check-in. Just an annoyance on top of everything else. But the water tastes terrible here, so I want my bottles! The internet was absolutely useless until recently. Now it's slightly better but you still have to log in every 24 hours. The alarm clock and microwave clock are set incorrectly by about 10 minutes in about 75% of the rooms. read more

We stayed here over Thanksgiving for 4 nights. Check in was easy, we were greeted with fresh cookies and the rooms were clean, new & quiet. The lobby is very inviting with the large fireplace so it is a nice place to visit with family. The staff was outstanding and always greeted us with a smile. The pool was a good size and the hot tub was hot - definitely a plus in 30 degree weather. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in this area of WI. read more

Stayed here by default after a HORRIBLE experience with Olympia Resort. Couldn't be happier with how clean the hotel was and how nice the staff treated us. Not to mention, it was $40/night cheaper than the Olympia Resort! We will definitely be staying here from now on! read more

I would suggest people inquiring about this place should read other yelp reviews on this hotel to get a flavor of what might be going on here. Anyway, from those reviews and the one stay for me, I'd have to say that if there are issues here it must have something to do with the management's presents on site, assuming that they are not absentee manager/owners/franchisees etc. Yes, the front desk could maybe use a little hospitality industry 101 polish but still if so, it's their managers that should be on top of this, and apparently this place has been open since 2010, so by now....... - - - - - - - So here goes, as far as basic hotel amenities and expectations go in the midwest and I guess elsewhere this place is an easy 4 star, at least for me, ' nothings missing '. - - - - Except the breakfast. How hard is it to screw up breakfast? There's plenty of lunch and dinner in this area and I wouldn't even expect the Garden to compete in those categories, but breakfast and on a typical Saturday weekend, a time when food project managers should know what is going on in their establishments since it's pricier, busier and just plain this is when hotels make their money time, unless I'm mistaken. A string of occurrences finally got through my thick skull that this morning was not a one off happening, come on, stock up for the weekend management, please. So we are not a convention just a couple, but we are still customers, and I might add there was some meeting room set aside for a larger group of something that morning, maybe they didn't plan and we got the short end of things. If so, no excuse. The hotels job should not be collateral damage for other customers, but I'm not sure how much this contributed to the main restaurants issues. So first, for my 1st cup of jo from the nice lobby coffee they were out of coffee covers, okay it happens, when I went down later for the next cup to have with breakfast, the cups were all gone. Hmmmmmmmmm. So we sat down for a nice breakfast, filled out our little breakfast cards and eventually manually took them up to the food area counter since I didn't know when someone would come back or if we were suppose to take them somewhere, after all, one of the least liked features of Hilton Garden Inn's (at least by me) is manually guest make their own toast, no biggy, but if they cook or provide everything else handily, what's with this quaint practice, I mean are we at some type of cracker barrel genre or something? (Heck they even DO toast) Now at least 50 minutes later one breakfast shows up followed a minute or so later by the other breakfast plate. Needless to say my manufactured toast was a slice of something by this time. Food tasted good, got extra coffee of course due to waiting around etc. I don't blame the waitress or most other staff, I just assumed that the hotel management was possibly nickel and dime'ing there staff as in cutting corners but I really don't know, if they are employees there or contractors. Another worker said they were getting another cook, so that was interesting. Point is so much was seemingly going wrong, only in the food area, that I wondered what was the cause, just didn't make sense. Other than this hiccup I liked the hotel and the Ms. liked it even more than me. I guess everyone was her entertainment for the morning. Note: if we got desperate there was always a Starbucks less than a city block away at a local strip mall. Oh the salvation!, if we needed it. So other than the breakfast fiasco the hotel deserves 4 stars at least for our stay. Yes most of our problems do seem so first world and we should just deal. You decide. Wifi was nothing to write home about but we were only there one night for some R&R. I might stop by the Staybridge on the other side of the Interstate even if breakfast (which is usually very good at Staybridges where I've stayed) is figured into your rate structure, it would probably be worth the extra money. Would I stay here again, probably, it's a very nice hotel. But if they screw up breakfast again, then it's no fluke. read more

The hotel is great, the staff is great and the food is even great. I was coming in late from the airport and called to see if they were still serving food but there was only 15 minutes left. I had heard nothing but great reviews of this place so when I came to town for a family wedding I decided to stay here. The front desk staff was excellent and friendly, Deidre was helpful with any questions I had. The restaurant staff was polite and friendly as well. Jessica and Shannon made sure I enjoyed my food and made sure I was satisfied with anything I needed. the rooms were clean and very cozy. I all around enjoyed my stay! Where do I begin. I visited this hotel in the hopes of securing a block of rooms for my upcoming wedding next July 2018. I was told that blocking off rooms was not an option any longer but that since the wedding was so far out, this shouldn't be a problem. A manager named Sarah, assured me that there would be no issue not having a block of rooms, and that guests would be able to call once they received their invitations. My mom lucky called today 9-26-17, and the entire hotel is already booked for that weekend. If this wasn't enough, my save the dates and invitations have already been printed and have the hotel information on them. I would really like to know how someone in management can assure a bride that this was the best option for securing rooms and then this happens. I will never stay or recommend a Hilton Garden Inn to anyone. read more

Had an enjoyable two night stay for a wedding. We arrived late on Friday night, but because of the convenient online check-in our room was ready to go. Overall, the place seemed clean and organized. The front desk staff were very friendly. I believe this hotel used to offer smoking rooms because when we walked into our room, we were greeted with the smell of old smoke and room freshener - I'm guessing their attempt to make the hotel smoke-free without doing any of the hard stuff. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. For our stay, I couldn't really complain. We had hot water, a working a/c, and all seemed well. Should I be in Oconomowoc again, I'd definitely stay here. read more
