We have stayed here several times in the past. Each time was just a bit more terrible than the previous time. THIS TIME was the last straw. We had a meeting to attend just a half mile down the road from the motel. The meeting started at about noon, so we called the motel while enroute to inquire as to getting into our room early. NO PROBLEM said the desk clerk and SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about an additional $25 fee for early arrival. We never had to pay that before. When we objected to the fee, the different desk person sat there and did nothing but mumble. We ended up having to pay the fee with the promise to NEVER TO STAY AT YHIS PROPERTY EVER AGAIN. And, we will advise others of their policies in all of our social media accounts. We will give them far more NEGATIVE PRESS than $25 worth. Be Aware People. Ask and question everything. Supposedly the Manager was to get back to us. Will never happen. Very Disappointed. read more

We called and Morgan answered and checked and said " come anytime room is ready" Never mentioned a Fee although after I approached her actually lied to my face. Marissa Asst Mngr said they have recordings of phone conversations and videos. I said that's better yet. She said she would get backbto us. AGAIN NOT A WORD FROM ANYONE. We have calls into corporate. We were in town for a dog show as the official photographers and wanted to stay at a pet friendly hotel in case we had our dogs along for the trip. Dogs ended up staying home but I still like to support pet friendly locations. Easy access to the Interstate and located west of Milwaukee - although the name says Milwaukee it's about 30-minutes from the hotel. This hotel is about 2 light away from the Interstate so less traffic noise than some places. We noticed the movie theater across the street because it was packed 24-hours a day for the Avengers End Game Movie. Also close to shopping and restaurants to make things simple. Our room was a suite and was HUGE - if the dogs had been along, all of their supplies would have easily fit in the space with plenty of room to spare. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Showers were hot and shower heads were mounted high enough that neither of us needed to hunch down to wash our hair - love that! Pool and whirlpool area looked clean but we did not try either. Breakfast area is smaller and has several selections of coffee, some juices, several dry cereal options, make your own waffles. In the small fridge were hard boiled eggs and small cartons of cottage cheese. Not a lot of protein selections but given the small space, that makes sense. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves so having a more protein oriented breakfast could happen there too. There is a small convenience store off the main desk for snacks and sundries or you could run to one of the stores in the area for supplies. There is space available around the hotel for walking dogs and there are sidewalks if you want a little longer walk with your dog. There are lots of walking trails within a short drive from the hotel too if you want a bigger adventure with your dog. Would stay here again if we were in the area. read more

I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service I am receiving. I incorrectly booked a weekend trip and showed up and was told there was no availability and that they had no record of my booking at all - okay, fair enough that's my fault. I could have sworn I booked something though, and was assured by the associate at the desk (who double checked with a manager) that there was no reservation on the books with my name on it. I was confused, but assumed I just forgot to click reserve. Fast forward to a month later and I receive a text notifying me it's time to check in. I call immediately hoping to alert the staff so they could free up the room, realizing that the associate missed a future reservation (one that I would have cancelled obviously had she told me about it). I also then realize I was charged the full amount (over $400) already. I speak to someone explaining the situation and requesting a refund. They say they will speak to the manager and call me back. No one calls me back. 2 days later, I call again and speak to someone new who connects me with a manger. The manager then says they need to speak to the GM and that they will call me back. No call back... so the next day I call back. I'm put on hold and told that the GM refuses to speak to me or refund me. I request a phone number but am only given an email. I emailed the GM over 3 days ago now and have received no response, and I just tired calling the location again and got a dial tone. I'm incredibly frustrated and feel the management is handling this mistake in an unethical and non-customer service oriented way. I absolutely do not recommend booking your stay here and will continue to reach out until someone gets in touch with me to explain why I am not receiving any compensation when I was directly told by staff I was not on their books. read more

First impression: NOT clean as there were dogs all around me and a myriad of smells. Staff at front desk was friendly/ish but not terribly helpful. I never got a AAA discount even though they offer it. I went to their site to book and not offered for this locale and then I get there and they honor the AAA rate? But wouldn't for me??!I just realized I have to file a complaint with AAA. BIG ONE for people with pet allergies. THIS IS A DOG HOTEL. This dirty motel doesn't even keep a room, let alone a floor(like most quality hotels), for non-pet people or allergy issues.... I love pets... but have slight allergy issues... never occurred to me that a place of business would discriminate in this way without any options for their allergy ridden, non-pet loving (people have real fears of dogs) patrons... very poor form. As it turns out my friend advised me to get the holiday inn that is down the street and I forgot.. wish I hadn't. The room: We got way over-charged for a suite (not a true suite- just two rooms put together.) that was dirty and smelled of dog. Pool and hottub; we had a lot of fun with our three girls here.. although not the cleanest they had fun. It took me a month to write this review as we had a great time but that is because we were two friends of 40 years getting our girls together.. the hotel didn't add to that enjoyment but did add frustrations..we had such a great time... but again... this hotel wasn't why. Beds: not new as inconsistent comfort and also, no bedbug protection on mattress. I travel ALOT and have run into bedbugs at a hotel once.. these things destroy homes (I threw every last last thing away in that incident and bought new clothes... and new purse.. just cleaned and kept credit cards/license etc. CHECK FOR BEDBUGS since they don't protect against them. Let me be clear... I never saw bedbugs at this hotel but they are not protecting against them... my 2 night stay would have paid for several rooms to have this worthy investment... seems like good business sense to me. Gym.. very nice and small gym for a "hotel" that is like a motel that you wouldn't expect a gym. Cleanliness issues here as well. Breakfast: small and good choices. Three kids and second day we came down about an hour before breakfast was done.. it was DIRTY and no regular waffle mix left. :(. Kids were very disappointed. It's inconsistent as the day before it was clean and a mgr overhead me ask my daughter to please get some salt and he appeared with it.. excellent service... when we were done I brought him a tip as I was so appreciative of the good service and cleanliness while he was there, but he stated he was a manager and couldn't accept... I really respect that and also want to mention I never took the time to complain to this lovey manager as we had a very short amount of time and were with people we never get to see and didn't want to make it worse by focusing on all the bad. I will return to this hotel and that says it all. I start my hotel shopping with a hot tub because from there, the rest can fall into place! La Quinta has an excellent hot tub: clean, tiling intact and excellent repair, crystal clear, warm water. The entire hotel is in excellent repair, clean, orderly. Coffee is available around the clock. Included breakfast has yogurt, cottage cheese, fresh nuts and granola for toppings, rolls, juices, self-made waffles, juice and fresh fruit. It's quiet here, too! It sits up on a hill, above the traffic. We vaguely heard voices or foot steps from other rooms, next-door or above. That's unusual. Finally, the staff is friending and available. All this for a low price! Good job LaQuinta! read more

I paid $867 for a DOUBLE ROOM and they gave me a room with ONE bed and they tried to convince me that this room with ONE bed is a DOUBLE ROOM!! Damn, I have an MBA and I can count--this one bed room is not a double room! After back and forth argument, they gave me a room with 2 beds but the room has ANIMAL URINE all over! Animal urine is BIOHAZARD waste. They cannot clean it- the only solution they have is MASKING the ANIMAL URINE with cheap air freshener. All urine contains ammonia, and its concentration in animal urine is especially high. Furthermore, if the urine is not cleaned properly and thoroughly, the water in the urine starts to evaporate, leaving behind a concentrated solution of AMMONIA that gives off fumes. The managers' response was "if the room is not to your liking, feel free to checkout!" I know Yelp will remove this review because they serve the business who pays for their businesses to be listed on Yelp. Yelp will be another complaint I will report to the Department of Consumer Affairs if Yelp removes my review. I booked this through @americanairlines and I hope they stop working with #laquinta and #wyndham. This is abuse and I feel being taken advantage of. We landed at 11:00 PM and I am traveling with a child, it is impossible to find a hotel at this hour. The hotel isn't all that bad, but for almost $200 a night I expect far more for my stay. I'll start with the positives: + good location a short distance off the interstate with Walmart, Target, fast food, and a movie theater nearby + staff was friendly for check-in and during breakfast + fridge, microwave, big TV, comfortable enough beds + well lit parking lot + a decent breakfast with a waffle maker and some fun finds like Nutella packets Things that don't warrant such a high price per night: - the room we were in was in need of a deep clean: a layer of dust on the desk, dirt along the top of the shower, dirty baseboards - small room - minimal toiletries: a bar of soap for the sink, the shower, and a bottle of Pantene 2-in-1 - when I went to hang my towel the towel bar fell off the wall - little to no soundproofing - I could hear kids running, babies crying, and yelling/laughing from people having a wedding afterparty in their room down the hall I think of La Quinta as a budget-friendly chain, and this location is on par with that expectation. The La Quinta in Delafield is a good choice for staying in central Waukesha county (despite the name, it's not exactly close to Milwaukee). The hotel is located right off I-94, and there are plenty of cafes as well as Target and Walmart within walking distance. Hotwire gave us the hotel for $55/night, so the price is hard to beat. The building is fairly modern and the rooms were reasonably clean and well appointed. When I extended my stay, the staff accommodated me in the same room. They offer a free breakfast, though I can't speak to the quality. Again, don't expect 5 star service or a Four Seasons reception, but the La Quinta gets the job done for a fair price. read more

It was SO pleasant to get out of the shower and find a blood stain on my towel which I almost wiped my face on. I immediately wanted to leave this place and have nothing to do with it anymore. I called the front desk to explain what happened and I asked if we could have new towels and all the lady said was "yeah". No apology or anything, and once she arrived to the room with the towels she just bolted to avoid any conflict, and again, no apology. My fiancée went to speak to a manager and although she said she was nice (which is part of her job anyway), she insisted that this was just makeup. Makeup washes out and blood dries brown, so there's that. Anyway, we got $20 off for the two nights we stayed, and didn't get charged tax which was only another $20 (big whoop). If you decide to stay here against your better judgement, I would bring your own towels. read more

The Milwaukee Delafield LaQuinta is conveniently located off of I-94. The hotel is fairly new with modern decor and has been clean, friendly staff, and nice breakfast area. Frequently they are booked up, so you might want to reserve your room a week or so in advance of your trip. Update: We stayed on the 3rd floor at the end of the building, and there was as fairly continuous traffic noise from the nearby business. Hard to stay asleep. read more

Stayed here recently for a funeral. The staff is very friendly and they are extremely dog friendly. If you don't like dogs, keep this in mind before you book. The Wheelchair accessible room we booked needs some work. It was a Tub Transfer Room that was setup poorly. If I was traveling alone, it would've been very difficult to deal with. Bad placement of bars and shower controls. The beds were also very high. The location, Staff and Dog policies somewhat make up for the accessibility issues, but I could not stay here if I were traveling alone. read more

Front desk help was friendly and efficient in setting me up with a room. I was staying for a week for work. The room was cleanish. I say that because the tile floor in the bathroom needed a good bleach and scrub. The grout was dirty and I refused to step barefoot on it without a towel down. Between the bed and the nightstand there were crumbs and dirt on the carpet. These are really my only 2 complaints. Otherwise my room was made up everyday. My bed was comfortable and I slept well. This is a pet friendly hotel. Although I heard a couple dogs (the first night every time I exited and entered my room the dog across the hall would bark) but I never seen any dogs. My room didn't show any traces of pets having been present. Nor did it smell of pets. The rate was right and the location was convenient for me. read more

Clean, Quiet and Comfortable, with a hot shower, all at a very good price. This La Quinta is a newer hotel in a very convienant location just off the interstate, but not so close you get any road noise. While not as "fancy" as others, the rooms are well appointed with a flat screen tv, desk, comfortable bed plus a microwave and fridge. Decent wifi service (free) and lots of places to plug things in - no hunting behind a desk or bed. Rooms are quiet. Plenty of places to eat nearby, from fast food to several brew pubs and a great local pizza place called Marty's. The free breakfast is nothing to write home about, but it is there and the breakfast area is clean. There is a great local coffee shop just across the road which is outstanding. Probably the best value hotel I have stayed at. I have stayed here four times on business and had the same consistent performance. read more

my coworker was noticing more and more marks on his skin every morning throughout our stay. we determined them to be bed bug bites. la quinta staff claimed the marks were from the shower water. we switched to the Towneplace suites in oconomowoc, I would highly recommend staying there instead. read more

Okay on first look this place is fine. Looks like they just freshly remodeled. Which is good if you are paying $100 per night in the middle of nowhere. I was there for a wedding and on the day of, the front entrance broke, so we could not get in and out. We actually had a wedding to attend. The sliding door says, "in case of an emergency, push door". Well we pushed the door, but the rug that was in the entry way prevented the doors from pushing open. Shall I say; major fire hazard? Two of the staff tried fixing the door for a half hour, nothing. We ended up using the back exit by the dumpsters, which was fine, but what in a case of an emergency? A number of people in the wedding party had problems with their key cards not working. There is sometimes no one up by the front desk, which makes it difficult to resolve this issue. The same night heading back from the wedding at 11:30 pm my key cards (both) did not work. I went back to the front desk and she reset them. Went back upstairs, still did not work. I repeated this whole thing one more time. Still did not work. The third time I went back downstairs, the receptionist was checking people in who wanted to know about tourist attractions. She spent about 15 minutes of showing them various brochures on local attraction while I waited. She also was trying to talk these people into the La Quinta rewards program. So, she "fixed" my card again and also tried to talk me into the rewards program. Mind you this is at 12:00 am, after 2 attempts trying to get into my room unsuccessfully, I was not in the mood to talk about promotions. I guess my key card did work on the third re-set. When I got back into the room it was clean, but smelled rather musty. The big, fancy flat screen TV only had one channel working. But after that whole fiasco with the key card, who cares. Right? As far as breakfast goes, most of it is cereal and pastries. I ate a hard boiled egg and an orange. But ended up going out for a second proper breakfast a few hours later. But then again, I should not expect a fancier breakfast from La Quinta and breakfast is not why I gave it such low rating. Aside from the nicely designed rehab, I would not recommend this place. read more

I stayed here for a weekend in August to attend a wedding reception nearby. I went in with realistic expectations, and understand the LaQuinta market. I was only looking for a place to get a good nights sleep. Due to appliance noise in the room, pungent (cover-up) air freshener levels, and gross long black hairs stuck to the shower walls I was disappointed to say the least. Revolted actually. I requested a room change, and it was happily granted. That was it. Other hotels would have offered some sort of break on the final bill, I was not despite my courteous complaint and understanding that "things happen". After a formal complaint on the website I was mailed a free nights stay for future use. I would have been far more impressed with a partial refund and do not intend to use the "free night" after that experience. read more

Great location just off of I-94. Clean, updated, quiet and accommodating. Decent pool and whirlpool. Delightful service upon check in and check out. The counter has lollipops for the kids and biscuits for the dogs. You can even write you pup's name on their welcome chalkboard. Our room had the usual amenities plus a microwave. Breakfast starts at 7 AM but was already pretty much ready at 6:30. They had all the necessities of fresh fruits, cereals, bagels, donuts, juice, milk, coffee and even newly cooked waffles. We were there for a wedding so all rooms blocked. Holiday weekend so had only two people cleaning rooms. Traveled from out of town. Could not get into our room until 25 min. before we had to leave for the wedding. Room STUNK, lots of pubic hair on white tile bathroom floor. Did not have any other rooms available so didn't have a choice. Had to stay. Hallway carpet with many, many stains. Just did not appear clean. It is dog friendly and dogs are allowed in all rooms although they "try to keep them on the first floor." My husband is allergic so that made the nights sleep uncomfortable. On the bright side, breakfast was good and Monday front desk supervisor cared about my concerns. I spoke with the mgr the following day and he apologized and comped room. I highly recommend a good cleaning service come in for a deep clean. read more

I think this is one of the nicer La Quintas I have stayed in. The rooms are more modern than usual which I thought also made them seem cleaner. The tv is small but I find that a lot of hotels are skimping in that area. The breakfast isn't incredible but if you have average expectations then you will be pleasantly surprised. Great location off the highway, perfect for a night's stay if you still have to work in the morning. The shower made a weird high pitched noise while on, causing me to cut it short but that was the only negative I found. PRO-TIP: while the lamps and wall outlets don't have USB ports, there is a block on the desk with all sorts of different ports for each of your charging needs - wish I would've seen this before I was already packing up to leave! read more

Make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, pastries , etc. Only suggestion I have is consider offering more hot items. It looks like from other reviews, people either had a very good or NOT a good experience, and not much in between. Unfortunately our experience leaned more to the latter. I've been to other La Quintas and had a better experience. When we arrived at 11:15pm there was a large and very loud group (with many of them outside the entrance as well) in the lobby area with plenty of drinking, smoking and carrying on. I realize the hotel can't control others behavior, but it certainly did not give a great first impression. The front desk person was apologetic and did inform me they had been warned, and police would get involved if they did not quiet down. The first room she sent us to reeked of smoke, as did the hall. Again I think the party group was to blame, but I'd swear someone had been smoking in that room, even though it was supposedly non-smoking. I went down to the desk again and she moved us to a different room/floor and she was friendly and courteous about it. The next room had no odor, and was fairly quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Maybe I've watched too many episodes of "Hotel Impossible," but the room was not very clean. At first glance it was okay, but there seemed to be lack of attention to detail with the cleaning, such as grime/dirt on the bathroom floor corners and behind the toilet, dirty under the toilet seat, bathroom vent caked with dust, and a chunk of food stuck to the side of the sink. It appeared that deep cleaning isn't happening. We did sleep well, and appreciated breakfast being available, but found it disappointing. Limited options and the hard boiled egg my husband tried to eat was sour/spoiled. My kids did love the waffles! Overall it was an adequate place to stay the night, and I'll probably give La Quinta another try, but would likely avoid this location. read more

Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and provided prompt service. They have a parking space out front dedicated to Veterans of the US Armed Forces which I thought was very cool. Ok place. Bathroom doesn't flush properly and the maids didn't fix up the room on two days of our 7 day stay. Breakfast was mediocre and the walls are very thin. Keys demagnetized after each use so we had to keep going back to front desk. Swimming pool was clean. read more
