We can't speak to service or ambiance as we've never eaten in, but Himalayan Chef provides consistently fresh, yummy, and healthy take-out that's delivered quickly. We order every time we get together with some good friends, one of whom is vegan. This is very approachable ethnic food and there's something for everyone. A typical order for us includes momos (sort of like an Indo-Chinese potsticker or dumpling), brown rice, and several kinds of meat and vegan curries, all delicious and affordable. The spice level is adjustable and we haven't tried anything yet we didn't like. Our one minor complaint is that their naan is very small. read more

I always get food to go here so review is solely on that experience. Every single time the people here are extremely nice and polite. Food is always ready and I usually order their chicken momo. Based on all the reviews, I had higher expectations. At first glance, I wasn't even sure this place was open when I walked in because everything looked empty. In addition, we tried to come here before during their normal business hours and they were closed. Even though this place was empty, we decided to still give it a try. We ordered crispy potatoes, shrimp noodles, a tofu curry dish, and garlic naan. The crispy potatoes looked nothing like the picture I had seen on Yelp and they were not crispy. They were soft and heavily sauced. The shrimp noodles were okay, a bit overcooked and slightly on the bland side. I actually liked the dish my husband ordered, the tofu curry. It had good flavoring. Everything was serviced on to-go plates, so if you don't finish, they just give you lids and you take them with you. The waitstaff/cashier was very friendly. She repeatedly asked us if we needed anything. The chef even came out to see how we liked the food. Customer service was good! Parking was easy, prices were a bit pricey for the lack of atmosphere and food quality. read more

I discovered this restaurant through yelp. It is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place with less than 10 tables. They are used to catering to offices and a to-go place. Incredible Food - the flavors of are unique and delicious. Food is medium spicy. Service is fantastic - I got good recommendations - Salmon Curry, Chicken Momo, Veg Fried Rice, Paneer Masala Curry and Garlic Naan. After the meal, even the chef came out to meet us. Note: This restaurant is primarily set up for take out and delivery We wandered into an empty restaurant but that was because they do mostly take out. Don't be fooled, this place is AMAZING! We ordered vegan momo, vegan tofu thupka, and healthy salad quinoa bowl. Everything was delicious! I think the most outstanding dish would be the vegan tofu thupka. This was a comforting noodle soup with spicy, savory broth. Not only was this a total flavor bomb, it soup itself was loaded with colorful veggies. The veggie to tofu to noodle ratio was really even. I've come here twice now, and have gotten the beef thupa and chicken momo. The beef thupa is very satisfying on a cold day; flavorful and rich. The meat was tender and came in a generous portion. The chicken momos were good as well, with a LOT of filling - 12 would be enough for two meals for me! The space inside is on the more minimalist end, and is clean and well maintained. It also wasn't crowded, so I felt comfortable dining in. Both times the chef and other people working there have been very friendly, checking to see how we liked the food and if we needed anything else. If you're looking for welcoming atmosphere with high end decorations on the wall and fine china this place is not for you, however if you're looking for clean freshly made to order extremely delicious food this place is worth the trip. Himalayan Chef Kitchen mostly does take out, or catering, but we decided to pull up a chair and take in the experience. The Chef came out to greet us with such a warm greeting. Then we went through the menus several times, finally coming to a conclusion. My husband ordered a chicken dish with mild sauce, and I ordered salmon with medium sauce that was so good I could have taken a straw to it. We shared a quinoa tofu salad bowl. They brought out complimentary rice. Just before we were finishing up, the Chef came out again just to see what we thought of the food. I've been looking for a healthy spot to eat at near my work and I found this spot on Yelp. I noticed this place has quinoa bowls on their menu so I was instantly attracted. Once I arrived, I noticed the place was empty but was greeted with a big smile which made me feel welcomed. The people who work here are SUPER nice. You get a good amount of food for your bucks! For a single dish of fried rice or chow mien, you can probably feed 2 people. I don't know too much about Himalayan cuisine, it is a bit tame for my taste. I felt that a bit of green scallion, cilantro, or other herbs would've really brightened their dish. Their chili eggplant dish is pretty good though! Not spicy at all, but you can really taste the peppery taste. I would definitely come here again, as an better alternative to Panda Express. I'll add soy sauce and extra herbs on my chow mien myself :P. read more

I am from north east india and very used to this sort of indo chinese fusion vision, so the food from here was below average. We tried to take a chance and order from this place , but it's sadly real bad. I absolutely loved the tofu curry - the spices and creaminess were perfect. The beef thupa is a nice hearty soup and the beef was very tender.
