It is mostly finger food place but they have good Asian fusion stuffs. We had Korean pork belly, shrimp cake, skewers, and mango soda. Everything was good. Ambience and service were good too.

One of the best deal on oysters in the Bay Area! Tuesday and Thursday $1 oysters, it can't get better than that. We came here on a Thursday and the vibe was chill, the ambiance here is trying to be a sports bar with 6 different big screens you can watch on, but it's also kinda quiet with Kpop running in the background. There are plenty of food options, ranging from raw oysters, variety skewers, even Gom tang soup (beef ribs soup) . Some of the best skewers i had. Highly recommend the beef tongue, wagyu and lamb chop. Oysters was cleaned well and the presentation was excellent. Service was great. We spent over $250 and they gave us an order of the chicken skin for free! That was a nice surprise!

Even though the Warriors are done for the season, it was still a fun night watching the game with fellow fans at Bar Bay Grill. Their daily happy hour never disappoints -- the garlic fries came out hot and crispy, the curry hot pot was comforting and flavorful, and the chicken karaage and chicken wings were both super satisfying. Good vibes, good food, and a great spot to catch a game. Service was good, need remind to get water refill from time to time.

Bar Bay Grill is a good place for food and drinks. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have $1 oysters! We had to settle for a restaurant nearby since our original plan changed. Thankfully this place closes pretty late so we decided to stop by. We got a few appetizers, skewers, oysters, pork belly and a soup. All the food was pretty delicious but standouts were the garlic fries and the oysters. The fries were super crispy and double coated. The oysters were super refreshing. Loved the sauces paired with the oysters. They also provided Tabasco sauce for those that like it classic. The skewers were pretty great as well. The meat was tender and grilled nicely. Would come back!

Great Food, Chill Vibe, and Friendly Service! Bar Bay Grill in Union City is such a hidden gem! I come here at least 2 times a week for 10 years. It has that perfect balance of a cozy neighborhood spot with a modern, clean feel. I love coming here on Fridays because it's usually packed. The curry chicken is a must! It's actually addicting. Grilled garlic butter oysters are flavor- packed. Stir-fried vermicelli, delicious and huge portion. The freshest oysters I've ever had . Garlic fries are garlicky and flavorful. Chicken Karage, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their homemade aioli is made for the heavens. The chicken skin is ok. It is a bit too crispy for me. Service was also on point. The servers are always attentive, friendly, and check- in just enough without hovering. I remember one of our servers was named Phoebe. She was super- sweet. Whether you're meeting friends for drinks or grabbing a casual bite, even for a date , this place is definitely worth a visit. My only complaint is they don't open earlier for lunch anymore. I still highly recommend this place! Also if you bring your receipt over to the dessert boba shop next door , Caffe.in , you get 10% off your order.

Always a good time even when it's crazy busy at this place. Came here with some folks and wasn't too long of a wait to be seated. The servers are always hospitable and friendly. The food is yummy as usual. We had ribs, pork belly, wagyu beef, eggplant, chicken skin, chicken hearts, squid, cheese corn, bacon wrapped quail eggs, curry chicken toast, oysters and more. Oh, and a few or eight bottles of soju. We left fulfilled and satisfied as we should.

We went out for the oyster deal (1$ per oyster all day on fresh oysters tues. and thurs.) It was totally worth! The oysters were really good and a great size. I was honestly impressed and would come back for that. We also ordered some yakitori / skewers. I would say the meat skewers we probably could've split one between two people especially with how many different things we were trying. We got the wagyu skewer and pork belly, as well as shishito, quail egg in bacon, and the mushroom. Out of all of them the mushroom was my favorite which was surprising! Maybe following that is the quail egg skewer which was also delicious and chewy. Service was good, and our waiter was kind. The ambiance was good as well, with clean tables and TVs with sports... although the music was a bit funky at points. But we were vibing. Overall would recommend this place and will return !

Food For me, the yakitori here is at best okay- but everything else here is amazing! (So don't go here for only yakitori) The first thing we got and tried was the takoyaki- which was actually really good! Probably one of the better ones in the area. The 2nd menu item was the curry chicken toast, which was apparently really popular. I liked the chicken curry toast. A bit hard to eat as the bread is literally the platter and inside there's chicken. The toast was crispy but soft and warm in the inside. The yakitori was okay, I wouldn't mind eating it, but I'd probably go to a different place, I don't think it's one of the better ones out there in Bay Area. The chicken karage is really good but it's definitely not the best. I would order next time but not my favorites among the things they offer in this restaurant. The final thing we ate was the chicken skin which I was originally not going to add because it isn't on the menu. Apparently is a new item and they were trying it out, they gave it to us on the house, which was nice. It was hot when we first got it but quickly cooled down so if you like it hot, eat it fast! Service Well first I gotta mention the chicken skin they gave us. Thanks! 2nd, the service itself was bad, just nothing to mention that's significant. Food came decently fast, took about 10ish minutes. Ambiance Cool place! Relatively empty but it's a Saturday and we were here pretty early for dinner. TVs are pretty loud, they were turned off briefly and the place was silent lol. Sound was like average. Apologies for bad pictures

I came with my friends for HH and got their $1 oysters! We were seated almost immediately. ordered : (4/5) - chicken gizzard : this was slightly hard and difficulty to eat but it wasn't bad! Just average - HH oysters: for $1, you can't beat the price! I would probably come back for this! - seafood boil: It was slightly salty for my taste, but it went well with the beer that we ordered! -grilled mussels: super yummy! It was cooked nicely with the mayo! -scallop skewers: this was probably my favorite. Cooked perfectly and not overdone. - eggplant- super simple and paired nice with the other heavier dishes! service: (5/5) The service was good. They kept on refilling ur water and checked up on us multiple times. vibe: (5/5) This is a great place after work for HH or to come with friends for drinks. It's fairly priced and everything was shareable! parking: (5/5) Free parking lot out front! overall: Overall I would come back with friends for HH!

My favorite place to go for fresh Oysters. B.B.G never disappoints! Their chicken gizzard skewers remind me of Macau. I just love the food and the service is always great! We moved out if the are but always come back often.

We've eaten here consistently over the past year and they never disappoint! Sunday they have $1.50 beer days, Thursdays they have $1 oyster days and they have deals on other days I don't remember. Bacon wrapped quail eggs, ramen, curry toast & cheese corn are some of our favorites. Decor is pretty cool with sports memorabilia all over and tv on each wall playing different games. Service is always quick and friendly.

The curry chicken toast was amazing. I really like the Asian fusion sports bar vibe. Service is great. The chicken curry toast we had was quite nice! We will be frequent fliers.

Their dinner is now only prix fixe. My first impression was how elegant and modern the decor was. I made a reservation and was seated right away. Their brunch menu ranged from Japanese interpretations of American classics like chicken & waffle and eggs Benedict, to sushi dishes, to rice dishes, to sandos (sandwiches). We ordered a lot so that we could try a bit of everything. Our food came out quickly, and each plate was beautifully presented. While every dish was very tasty, none of the dishes really blew me away. Our server was efficient but didn't smile once. It's not that big a deal, but a little smile is very welcoming and makes a difference. However, Jose, who was preparing the food, brought a few of our dishes out and each time he gave us a huge smile. What we ordered: + Short rib rice teishoku set - Elegantly presented, this was our favorite. The short rib literally melts in your mouth. The soup had a deep fried tofu pocket floating on top. The salad was above average, and even the rice seemed special. + Chicken croffle toast - this was very good and much bigger than I expected. There was probably about 4-5 tender chicken thighs in a crunchy coating. It had the same flavor as karage. The croffle (croisant waffle) was ok, but not as good as waffle imo. + Chutoro (medium fat) tuna nigiri - a perfect bite. When I looked under the tuna, I only saw about a 1/2 a pinky size of rice, but that turned out to be the perfect ratio. + Mochi waffle - you get your choice of matcha or ube flavor. I chose matcha. This was very good, but didn't get a whole lot of matcha flavor. + Macaroni salad - the weakest dish. It just tasted like your typical macaroni salad. Overall, it's about 4.5 stars. The food, while very good, didn't blow me away as I would expect from an upscale place. However, the entire experience, atmosphere, and quick service bumped it up to 5 stars.

Prices are on the higher side, which is worth keeping in mind, but the creativity of the dishes and the overall experience make it feel reasonably justified. I've seen paint dry, glaciers melt, and toddlers grow up faster than our food arrived. When it finally did show up, the "katsu fish and chips" looked like someone raided last night's sashimi scraps, dunked them in a fryer, and hoped for the best. The portion was so tiny I wasn't sure if it was an appetizer or a prank. Flavor? Let's just say "questionable" is doing heavy lifting here. And because nothing says "classic fish and chips" like an identity crisis, it came with a chopped fruit salad. Bold choice. If you have kids, bring your own booster seat. Or a booster seat for your expectations. They don't have any high chairs, and apparently never thought anyone under 30 might try to dine there. The place was empty--like "abandoned warehouse" empty. Which raises the real question: how does this place stay in business? I'm convinced it's a front. For what, I don't know, but definitely not good food or service. In conclusion: if you want slow service, tiny weird fish, and fruit with your fried seafood while sitting in a restaurant that feels like a set for a crime drama, this is absolutely your spot.
