    Himalayan Beef Thenthuk
    Greg P.

This is a very convenient small restaurant. There is plenty of seating with areas for groups of 6-8. The staff was very nice and patient as we looked over the menu. I ended up ordering the Himalayan Beef Thenthuk and Chicken Momo Dumplings. Everything was absolutely delicious. The dumplings and Thenthuk took longer to come out than any of the dishes my friends had ordered, but not by much. The bathrooms were uncomfortably hot which is the only thing keeping this from a 5-star review. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a quick, affordable, and delicious meal!

I like this place. Portions are huge, prices are fair. You just order at the counter. My food was ready in less than 5 minutes and I took it to-go. It's a pretty small place and very casual. The pork fried noodles cured my hangover. The mango lassi is amazing.

Curry Cafe is a super casual vibe and does not have any servers or anything, so you're just ordering from the counter. I came here for lunch with a friend and ordered the pho as well as the steamed dumplings and left very satisfied. Pricing was super fair and the food was good. I've definitely had better pho before, but it was still tasty and cheap. The dumplings were good.

Went for the first time and the atmosphere is very cozy. The cashier was friendly and helpful as I asked her for recommendations. The chicken samosa was amazing, but the pork curry was a bit bland. I definitely will come back to try more of the menu.

We were driving through the area and searched yelp for something different to please our tastebuds!! We found it! This little gem is hidden in a strip mall and offers some delicious food!! We started off with the vegetable samosa yummy!!!! Then we had the butter chicken and the chicken tiki masala. The service was fast, the food was the perfect temperature and the portions were huge! We sat in silence and enjoyed the delicious flavors. Great place so check it out!!!

It is in a shopping plaza and there is nothing fancy about this place, but, man, the food is amazing! Served piping hot with delicious flavors. The staff is very nice. A simple menu but well-worth stopping in.

    Chili chicken!

My friend and I came here on his recommendation, and it absolutely blew me away. I would have never even considered trying a Himalayan place before, and I'm so glad he convinced me to try it. This place is set up in a fast casual food sort of way, and the menu is simple enough so that even a Himalayan-food newbie like myself can quickly figure out what to order. They have spiciness indicators to give you fair warning about what items you likely would (or wouldn't) enjoy, and I picked a more-than-medium-but-still-quite-hot dish, the chili chicken. While there wasn't enough water in the world to quench my thirst after eating this, it was still delicious and a very pleasant hot sensation, with just the right mix of spices and sauces to strike your palate the right way. The service was great and very pleasant, although I had a difficult time understanding one of the explanations of the counter person. They brought our order to our table and checked up on us later as well, quite good for a restaurant of this nature. Pricing was extremely fair given the sheer volume of chicken and rice they give you; definitely enough for two meals, even if you eat heartily like I do. A word to the wise: I love spicy food and figured I'd have no challenge here, though the food here is, to put it in a word: fiery. Again, I loved it, though it might help you to think of the mild here as medium elsewhere and their medium as pretty darn hot. With that warning out of the way, I highly recommend you give this place a shot, it's unique and unquestionably delicious! Overall: 5.0 stars ---- Pros: - EXCELLENT food. - Great portions and awesome value for the prices. - Nice service, with great table service for a fast casual place. - Plenty of parking nearby in the mall lot. Cons: - None, really. Just be warned that the spicy is truly spicy here, and when it comes to food tastes, you know what they say: you're either hot or you're not!

Food is okay but I won't be a repeater for this restaurant. The service was good and the price is very reasonable for what you get.

If you want homey food, THIS is the place to be! My roommate and I were craving rice-based dishes, and we found ourselves here. The menu is limited, but I think they focus on making their select dishes as good and authentic as possible. We both ordered butter chicken, and I ordered lassi. It was ready-made (there are some made-to-order dishes too though) and served to us on a styrofoam plate and plastic tray. The simple presentation might put some people off, but having had and loved street food in foreign countries (and American food trucks), this was a little slice of heaven for me. The food was absolutely delicious and so, so filling. I don't have that big of an appetite, but I honestly surprised myself by finishing the generous portions--it was that good. I'll definitely be back soon!

A staple when I visit Blacksburg. The curry is a unique taste and is a large portion for the price that you pay. It is served over rice and you get it when you order They also have a house made hot sauce that pairs nicely with the chicken that you have to ask for when you pay. I usually ask for less sauce since the sauce is pretty runny. This way the rice isn't soaked in the same sauce as the chicken is. Chicken for the curry chicken is white meat! It's not the best curry ive ever had by any means but for the area, it is a good value and it is a comforting meal.

This Asian fusion restaurant in the Cave Spring area of Roanoke, is definitely one of my favorite restaurants of all times. And my first visit and review is something that I will always hold very dear. When you finish reading this review I invite you to go back and read that review and view my photographs accompanying that review, for it was a very unique dining experience that I will never forget. From the time you arrive at this restaurant the contemporary building design seems to beckon you to approach and enter. I love their unique logo design made up of letters and a number of a particular font that communicates a certain air of distinction. Once inside, you're like in another world altogether. If the outside of the building was impressive, the interior immediately captures your attention and mesmerizes you with it's beauty. When I arrived today, a very lovely and distinguished lady, dressed very elegantly, welcomed me and led me to the table of my choice. Later did I find out that she was the owner of the restaurant, and I had an opportunity of talking with her about the restaurant, its Sushi Bar, and Sushi chefs. Soon after, my friendly server, who was from Indonesia, came to introduce himself and take my order. To drink I had a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It was served in a tall glass and tasted marvelous. As appetizer, I had the Dim Sum Platter. It contained 3 shrimp dŕhumai, 3 pork dumplings, 3 pork wasabi shumai, and 2 roasted pork buns. One of those items was extremely spicy, I had to drink water to cool down. The others tasted reasonably good. As my main entrée I had the Lobster Tail Tempura Maki. It was very colorful and tasted, and completely filled me up. My original server did an excellent job serving me the food and coming by to check on me. But then he disappeared and another server, also Indonesian came to bring me my main entrée. I think it might have been a shift change, but feel the first server should have let me know about this fact. But if the first server wad excellent, the second was amazing. He answered all the questions I had about items on the menu, and while delivering special dishes to other customers, he allowed me to photograph this food for the benefit of the readers of this review. Then, at the end, he helped me choose the dessert to have for the Grand Finale of my meal: the Banana Basket. It was amazingly delicious and had slices of bananas, kiwi, mangos, whipped cream, and strawberries. And topped with caramel and chocolate sauces. Considering its friendly and relaxing ambiance, its extensive menu with a wide range of Asian dishes, from traditional Chinese entries to a full sushi bar with raw and cooked options, and its amazing customer service, I definitely highly recommend this restaurant from my own experience. Every time I've dined there I've had an exceptional fine dining experience, and as I'm leaving I'm already looking forward to returning.

They were doing a heck of a carry out business, and know I know why. My husband had the wonton soup - he must of enjoyed them because I didn't get to try them, however that broth - oh my delicious- I finished that - easily. I had an order of the crab wontons - mostly cream cheese tasting - wish there was a bit more crab/shrimp, overall tasty. We shared our first hot pot - ribeye, carrots, peppers, stewed tomatoes served with your choice of rice - we chose the fried. Our shrimp tempura roll was yummy! Oh and we also each had a strawberry sangria although they do have other cocktails - I totally missed out on a screwdriver but the sangria was good too. Service was excellent- very nice people. Look forward to returning in the future!

They offer friendly and fast service in a cozy and charming environment. The owner is Chinese but cooks amazing Japanese cuisine and has a great personality. He often brings the food to your table and makes it a point to personally greet and welcome you and get feedback about the food as well as answer questions about any item on the menu. While I was there he even served himself a Ramen and joined his customers eating during a slow period that was unusual. Usually the place was full with at least a couple of parties at the tables and Take Out orders customers coming to pick up their phone orders. I was welcomed and greeted at the ordering counter by a friendly young lady who quickly took my order. I ordered Fried Spring Rolls as appetizer, a Beef and Shrimp Hibachi with a fountain drink as my main meal, and a Mango Mochi Ice Cream, which was unbelievably delicious. Next time I'm definitely trying out their Ramen Soup that looked amazing as all the members of the large party next to me were having. Besides the fact that the food was served in generous portions at reasonable prices, I kind of appreciated the interaction that the Asian Owner / Chef had with me and the other customers. It made for an amazing dining experience like no other before. And so not only do I highly recommend this Asian family-owned restaurant but am already looking forward to coming back.

Very nice staff, answered our questions, and were quite friendly. Ordered two gourmet burgers and a 'cheese steak' panini. All three came with fries and were visually appealing. The burgers were stacked, had nice veggies but the meat was rather tasteless, a real disappointment. The panini was inedible. The "steak" was strips of very tough and chewy meat that pulled right out of the bread, and the peppers overrode all other tastes. A real disappointment. The staff came and checked on us twice, very attentive. I would try it again, just to try another of their very creative dishes, but I am not running back. Good for a stop if you are downtown.
