Stopped by for dinner on a Sunday, this is one of our favorite Indian spots, but we've only done dine in. I've had both the garlic and green chili naan, both are delicious. In terms of dishes, I've tried many, but their standouts are the Chana Masala, Bhindi Masala and chicken dishes. Portions are a good size (we always have a bit leftover for later) and pricing is fair. Friendly and attentive service as well. It's located in a large plaza across from Golden West College, so there's a huge amount of parking. I typically only stop by on Sunday evenings, so there will be a couple other parties inside as well. They also play sports on their TVs if there's a big game. read more

Best Indian spot in Huntington Beach! Although the selection for the buffet is on the smaller end, everything is delicious. The chicken tikka masala was alright, but what stood out was their Tandoori Chicken, Channa Masala, Vegetable Samosas and Gulab Jaman. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Tandoori Chicken- best in the nation - only 8/10 pieces come out from the kitchen every 15 minutes so you know this is super fresh. How many buffets have we visited where the food sits for 3 hours from 11:30-2:30? 4 different desserts. Each one tastier than the last. 2 halwas( gajar n suji), rice pudding & fruit cream. The bread - comes out piping hot when I requested it, after the appetizers. Salad Bar - most extensive accompanying an Indian lunch AYCE buffet. Creative items. ( photo) Plenty of veggie options - daal, potatoes n zucchini, spinach, cauliflower, samosas. 4 different chicken dishes ( 65, Butter, tikka masala and tandoori) plus goat curry. Whenever we are craving Indian food, this place is our go-to every time. Our order is always the same - Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Cucumber Raita & 2 orders of Papadums. I could eat all the Papadums myself - they are crispy and tasty perfection. My only complaint is that I wish they gave more rice with the masala but we've only had it for delivery so I'm assuming if we dined in, more rice would be easy to come by. This isn't to say that the restaurant isn't high quality at ALL--it's been in operation for approximately 20 years! My newest go-to spot! I ordered a quick lunch to-go with my sister and everything was really yummy. I got the butter chicken and my sister got the vegan daal tarka. We both got medium spice which was just the perfect amount. My butter chicken was so creamy and bursting with flavors! The perfect combination with a steamy hot pile of rice. My sisters dish was also phenomenal, there were so many flavors going on - a comfort dish for sure. We ordered a side of garlic naan and it was perfect for dipping in our entrees. I did see that they had a lunch special where you could pick 2 entrees. I wish I saw that before I ordered online so we could try a few different things. I've been trying to find a solid Indian lunch buffet in OC for a while and I finally got one! $17 on the weekdays and $20 on the weekends. According to the waiter, the weekend has more selection, more desserts, and drinks included! My favorite Indian restaurant. This place is my go-to for ordering for delivery. - Butter Chicken - family favorite. The chicken is tender and the sauce is delicious! - Vegetable Samosas - 2 generously sized samosas. Perfectly seasoned and fresh. - Saag Paneer - My picky eater LOVES this. Like scraping the bowl clean type of love. This seems to be one of their popular dish and I can see why. - Garlic Naan - order extra. They don't skimp on the garlic. Just dined here early today for the lunch buffet and the food and service were incredible! I have been meaning to try this spot every time I'm in the plaza but finally had the opportunity to today, and I'm very glad I did. There is so many options to choose from and each, and every dish was delicious. What really stood out to me was the service as well. Since this was my first time here, the staff were extremely patient to explain to me how their dining works, and were super friendly. YES YES YES! So many yes(s)! Birthday celebration and the birthday boy wanted Indian food for the gathering. It was up to me to decide where, which was kind of a hard task to choose, but ultimately I decided to go with this restaurant (thanks Yelp!) I wanted to try everything on the menu! I called a little bit after they opened and I assume I was talking to the owner. He was extremely helpful, honest, and gracious over the phone. He helped me for 20 min over the phone and told me to keep it simple (lol) as he could sense my excitement. He explained the menu and was patient. He even advised that I'm ordering a lot of food and should probably take out a few for good measure. I'm glad he told me that because it was A LOT of food. I just want to say THANK YOU for being patient with me and literally not get annoyed lol-- appreciated it so much. Ordered everything in medium spice per his recommendation and it had great taste and kick! Yum! Pick up was ready at the time he said they would be. Packaged carefully, nicely and safely for the bumpy drive to the party. Everything was secured and didn't spill in the car. Everyone enjoyed the food and said it was delicious! The curries were well seasoned with plenty of sauce. The Mixed Grill was perfectly seasoned and had various meats to try and appease to everyone's taste. The meats were tender and not overcooked. Naan bread was super garlicky and yummy! Everyone had a good time and the food took it up a few notches. I was craving for some Indian food and decided to check this place out since it was in the area and all the positive reviews. I got the garlic naan, lamb korma, and butter chicken as a to go order. Garlic naan was good, can't really go wrong with that. The lamb korma was also pretty good and I like how much meat you get and it was soft and tender. The butter chicken does not seem like the butter chicken I have had at many other Indian restaurants. The curry was looser, not as flavorful, and the taste was off. It was more akin to a bland tomato sauce (I read other reviews which also mentioned this). Butter chicken is a staple dish for an Indian restaurant, and it you can't nail it, then that's a little worrisome. Also, the curry portions seem to be a bit smaller compared to other places. I'm not sure if this is due to inflation, but it is pricy for the amount you get. I just wish they made up for the lack of quantity with quality. Overall, this place was decent. I probably will check out the other Indian establishments (there are lots in the area) before I consider coming back here. As of right now, I would still recommend India Gate in Tustin or Annapoorna in Irvine over this place hands down. read more

Came here for the weekend lunch buffet and it was so yummy! The buffet meal comes with a drink and we got the mango lassi which was super delicious! I grabbed a plate with tandoori chicken, samosa, goat curry, chicken tiki masala, and mushroom paneer. Everything was delicious and I went back for another plate. It was about $20 after tax. Good Indian restaurant with a lot of food options. When I come here, I usually order the shrimp tikka masala which is flavorful and delicious. It comes with a huge portion of rice which is enough for 3 to 4 people. I wish the portion for the curry was bigger though. The garlic naan smells and tastes amazing. As for their green chili naan, it was pretty much flavorless so I'd pass on this. One downside is the price is a bit steep and the portion is small. We love this place to be honest, hubby loves the goat meat here and we love the garlic chutney with cauliflower and carrots. Was looking for a good Indian buffet spot in SoCal as I visited friends and we decided on this one. Firstly the price is so good for the amount of food and options you get. We can't get that price around LA for sure. The food was absolutely delicious!! I loved the goat curry and chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan was the best I've had!! (The flavors ). The service was impeccable. The servers kept refilling our waters without asking and I drink a lot of water. I didn't have to look around for people to get help..they were there when we needed. In spite of that it was really good, just eat slowly. Two types of Halwa. Both super delicious. I could eat this day in and day out. Tandoori chicken was tasty, but too dry on the day. Enjoyed the potato and cabbage. A different offering than usual and plenty of flavor and spices. Some type of vegie chutney with garlic, try this one for sure. They had several soup choices but I didn't try any. Missing for me; any paneer on the buffet. Friends and I came here during dinner service, however, we were curious about the buffet so we came back. All of us went home happy, content and stomach bursting. The mango lassi is a must have! My favorite drink and this place has the consistency, sweetness, and tartness perfected down! The next is the Tandoori Chicken, which is so tender, even during buffet times. Ive gone to other restaurants where the meat is hard and chicken dry-but this was tender, moist, and fell apart so easily. Love the ambiance of the restaurant as well. All in all - loved it. Indian food definitely has bold and distinct flavors and could appeal to many. As a result I feel that it's pretty noticeable if done poorly. This place did an awesome job with their Tikka Masala. Although I would think they're not the first, I haven't seen too many places that also serve shrimp Tikka Masala. That Tikka Masala sauce definitely enhances the flavors of any protein. They ask five a good amount of food, which I can appreciate. When it comes to the garlic naan, it was fire. I haven't had too many bad garlic naan though unless they burned the bread. Girlfriend and I have been coming here for five years. Absolutely loved it. Recently, the quality of both food and service has been slipping but still OK. Until our last week when we were served the wrong item. The server was hesitant but eventually brought us our correct food item, which was shrimp vindaloo and it was completely rotten. SMELLED LIKE CHEESE!! OVERWHELMING CHEESE! They took the dish back and said they have no shrimp left. THANK THE LORD! To be honest I didn't know what to expect from this place. I always drive Past it when I'm in Huntington and I had a craving for Indian food. When I walked in I noticed the place was spotless and all the workers were extremely friendly and had incredible manners. I got the lunch Buffet and whenever I would get up for something the workers would all stand to the side and let me pass. The buffet was great, it's on the smaller side but it honestly had everything you could want. They also have a salad bar It was actually really packed when I got here (so you know it's good) id definitely recommend it to my friends and come back. I can't stress how great the staff was. I'll just get right into it. The food is good here, but leaves something to be desired. I have eaten Indian food most of my life, and a friend who has never had it found this place. She was excited to try it, and I was happy that she was willing to step outside of her comfort zone. The samosas were good, but you can never really go wrong with a savory "pastry". We got an order of the lamb (ground) and the vegetable. The rice pellow was really good. Flavorful and pleasing to look at. The masala vegetables were ok but watery and kind of lacking in flavor. The butter chicken...was not butter chicken. This was almost like chicken in a lightly creamed tomato sauce. It wasn't horrible, but definitely not as I've experienced it to be so many times in the past at other establishments. The restaurant is nice, and the ambiance and service are great. Personally, I'd eat here again if I was in a pinch, but I wouldn't put this at the top of my list of recommendations. especially if they've never had the cuisine before. INSANELY good food! I'm having a hard time choosing my favorite, but it's so easy to recommend all these dishes. Always need to get the veggie samosas! So buttery, crispy, and flavorful! The fish tikka masala was absolutely DELICIOUS. It's creamy and comes with A LOT of fish. They really load it up. Garlic naan and aloo paratha were warm when they came out. The aloo paratha is super filling since it's stuffed with potatoes and peas. I LOVE the tamarind sauce. It adds such a nice sweetness. The lassi was GREAT. I've had the mango one before, but I think I like the sweet plain one. It reminds me of the Vietnamese yogurt but less tart. Parking is always available.
