They mastered how to make flavorful food which doesn't feel heavy, at all. I made a special request for the food to be made with very minimal spice, and the food was prepared exactly like that. This has been the best food I have had since I got to South Dakota. When we got there for the first time, we were told that they were unable to seat additional guests but are still taking orders for take out. The host was so gracious, apologetic, and enthusiastic. Visiting for our first time to Rapid City. We found Indian food which excited us. We ordered kids chicken pops very tasty and the kids loved them. We ordered the Kathmandu naan it was sweet and filling. Would recommend it over the Garlic naan as a great alternative. For our main meal we ordered the mango chicken, lamb Marsala and Vegetable korma. All were good and worth having again. My husband and I had been on the road for several days and I was sick of fast food and diner food. Found this spot not far from our hotel and were so glad we went! The lunch buffet was delicious and fairly priced. They had a nice variety of dishes on the buffet and we ordered the garlic naan which was perfect. They even offered my daughter a complimentary mango lassi drink. My daughter, who is 1.5 years old, found it quite tasty. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Excellent Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Went here to try something different and was not disappointed. Ordered a skillet dish, was the perfect level of spice and paired well with some naan and Indian beer. The wait staff was very courteous. I enjoyed speaking with the owner who is originally from Nepal and is excited to bring his local cuisine to a new area. Been noticing a fair number of cars at this newly re-opened 8th Street restaurant so we decided to check it out at lunch. We were pleasantly surprised it was busy but the wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. All inclusive lunch buffet was extremely tasty and exotic. The buffet was accompanied by nan and chai tea. Everything was delicious and it was nice to be in such a warm and friendly place. I love exotic food but even for a newbie, this place is worth checking out.
