Bones, rice and gravy (chicken Kurma)

First time dinning here, I was looking with my wife for a chicken kurma dinner Server explained that the chicken had bones in it, we thought we could handle that and agreed with the plate, we also requested one garlic and plain nun Dinner showed up and had nothing but bones with the gravy, nun didn't come out, server forgot to order Food got cold and didn't look good and I said I didn't want the nun anymore and neither the dinner because I didn't like it Server said I had to pay anyway I pay the bill but I got to tell.... Worst experience with service and food I paid the bill and I strongly suggest not to dine here, do your self a favor!

Enter into the Chennai beach vibes with decor that makes you feel right at the location. Start or end your meal with a masala flavored tea followed by a Medu Vada appetizer. Food is traditional Chennai style masala (Potatoe stuffed) dosa, 3 flavored chutneys are an amazing compliment. If you like meat, you can even have your dosa with a side of goat curry! To die for :-) but what is better than parotta and egg (1 pc) masala? Reasonable priced and efficient staff. Next time I am looking forward to trying the weekday Marina Royal Veg and Non- Veg Thai.

The waiter was super patient and explained everything to us, which we really appreciated. We even got a little humbled for our "basic" order, but it was all in good fun with a joking vibe and great rapport. The blue lighting is definitely a choice--it kind of gives off casino vibes, but not necessarily in a bad way. Overall, the food was solid, especially the aloo paneer pucha, and the experience was enjoyable.

I don't know how this place managed to hide from us this long when we live right down the street but we finally found this cozy cove and it will most certainly become part of the regular rotation. After at least 7mins of deliberating our order, we finally managed to settle on chili chicken, Kerala fish curry and idiyappam with a veg curry. Curry doesn't come with any rice or bread, so choose your own adventure - we got parotta and garlic naan for the table. The food arrived quickly and I was first apprehensive that it wouldn't be enough food but wow, I really didn't realize the wave they had inundated us with until I started diving in. My parents, boyfriend and I absolutely loved what we got. It's going to be really hard not to order the same thing next time but the rest of the menu is delightfully inviting, so we absolutely must. Notes: Expect quite a bit milder heat than other South Indian places. I'll definitely order more spicy next time. But I love the accessibility for those who can't handle too much heat. Also, make sure to tip in cash if possible so the full tip value goes to the staff and a portion doesn't get taken by the POS system.

Today's Menu near the Service Desk

I stopped by here for dinner. It did seem a little understaffed and the service desk was on the opposite side of the restaurant. I wasn't sure if I was going to be seated so I walked up to the front and I was asked to take a seat at a table. A few minutes after I was handed a menu and a bottle of water. It took a few minutes for the staff to take my order, but it was acceptable because I knew how busy they were. I ordered a Chole Bhature and 2 Parotta with Veg Curry (Veg Korma). They informed me that the Chole Bhature would took 15-20 minutes to make. The Chole Bhature was so worth the wait. The bread was served hot, and it was incredibly fluffy. The Bhature + Chole (Chana Masala) was enough to make me nearly full. I recommend trying this out if you can! The Parottas were so flaky and tasted even better with the Veg Korma. My only complaint was that I wasn't provided any napkins or silverware. Fortunately, I didn't make too much of a mess and I was able to clean up in the washroom in the back. For the price I paid for both of these dishes, this was so worth it. I also had enough to take home. I paid at the desk and was informed that they didn't accept tips (via card) so I provided a cash tip instead. I'll be back again to try the pizza and curries + naan. I definitely recommend trying out this gem of a restaurant!

I have been craving some Chicken Biryani and I couldn't decide where to go to get some. This place is in my neighborhood so decided to try it. What a great place service was great, food was hot, well seasoned and good portions. This is my new favorite Indian restaurant. If you like Indian cuisine you must try this place.

Came in for lunch today and the food was amazing. The staff were super friendly and the food came out quickly. The restaurant is also beautiful inside.

I have visited this restaurant twice! It's an authentic South Indian establishment, which is quite rare to find in Dallas. The Gobi twister is a must-try dish; we had it on both occasions, and it was amazing! They serve chili parotta, which I haven't found elsewhere. The vaducurry dosa is decent, not exceptional. However, the jigardthana, which we ordered both times, is incredibly tasty! The portion size of the panner puluv is generous and it tastes fantastic; it can easily serve three people. The Highway chili panner is a standout dish with its distinct flavor. Additionally, they serve bisebelabath with appam, which is equally delightful. The ambience is very good and calm ! The staff are nice and friendly and they serve the food quickly!

The curry was creamy and flavorful without being too heavy, which is perfect when you still have the rest of the workday ahead of you. And the naan? It's definitely more satisfying than the typical quick-grab options around the area. Plano has a lot of Desi food options, but for a weekday lunch that delivers real taste and isn't rushed or sloppy, O'Desi Aroma stands out.

The chicken seemed to be dark meat, but it was high quality. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Basmati rice was perfectly cooked. Counter service was professional and knowledgeable when I ordered, and they checked in during my meal to make sure everything was good. The atmosphere was pleasant - modern and clean. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a modern, casual Indian restaurant.

If you really know Indian food, you know there are levels to this. Most places serve what I lovingly call Campbell's Soup Tikka Masala. Super sweet, neon red, one note, wrong color, wrong consistency. Basically tomato soup with sugar and turmeric pretending to be a masala. It fills you up, but it doesn't make you pause and savor anything. Spice Grove Indian Cuisine is not that place. This is the real deal. The flavors are layered, balanced, and clearly cooked with intention. Not overly sweet, not dumbed down, just full of garlic, spice, depth, and that unmistakable "this was done right" feeling you get when Indian food is executed properly. We ordered a spread, saag, tikka masala, butter chicken, korma, vindaloo, garlic naan, and honestly there wasn't a weak dish on the table. Everything had the right color, the right texture, and the right punch of flavor. This is food you slow down for. I won't say this is the single best Indian food I've ever had, I reserve that for a few heavy hitters like Dishoom and Brigadiers in London and Chola in New York City. But if those are 10s, this is a very solid 8.5, and that is high praise. They're busy for a reason. You cannot go wrong here. If you love Indian food, or want to understand why people love Indian food, just go. You'll leave happy and probably already planning your next visit.

On the side we got their pani puri which was good and perfect for sharing and as an appetizer. The last dish we got was their szheuan noodles with chicken and it was spicy if you can handle the level of spice but filled with so much flavors or Indian and Chinese flavors. It was timed well and love that we got to enjoy a bit of each region. We will definitely come back with family and then would also love to try the à la carte menu. The lamb dish was my absolute fave. Service was good BUT, this deducted one star. We ordered a bottle of champagne and it was kept away from us so we couldn't reach it. Normally that's not an issue however every time we needed it refilled no one was available to refill it and we had to flag someone down. The other option was getting up and getting it myself but that would've been awkward and probably disruptive. When the total is coming out to a total of $600, I do expect the service to be exceptional, not just good. Also - while it's so clear that the chef has a genuine love for this restaurant and his vision, having him speak in between each course was a bit disruptive to the dining experience. Every time my husband and I would be having a conversation the chef would stand up and give a speech about the inspiration behind the dish and how to eat it. Again, appreciate the passion but this was too much. I would recommend one speech at the beginning and then giving a menu upon being seated and including 1-2 lines as a description with each dish that would capture this information. Overall none of this would make me not come back, but definitely some things that would've made the experience better.
