Just finished another delicious birthday dinner. They were so accommodating and friendly there. And the food is top notch. It's even better than I remember from last time. We started out with a guacamole, queso and those wonderful sweet potato chips and salsa. And then we had the churascaritos and the pick two tacos. All of it was delicious. You can't go wrong there. I'm not sure why there weren't more people there I guess cause it was a 530 on a Friday. But y'all need to come. read more

The Wife and I had never been to a Blue Mesa Location, and we are absolutely happy we did, as a Texas Native I am very particular about eating Authentic Mexican food! This place has not only brought that game to the table they have perfected the dishes they have! The menus is not so large you spend an hour going through it, and what they have on it they have made sure they do an amazing job of sending out a hot, fresh, and delicious meal. We started off with two appetizers, the Skewers of Beef, chicken and sausage with queso, a must have for sure. We also had the Coconut Chicken don't go uh until you try this. The Salsa comes with two styles Chunky and fire roasted both made in house daily and the flavors will surprise you just enough spice and on point! The service staff From the front door to the back all of them extremely friendly and go the distance to ensure your visit is great! We sat up at the bar and Both Bartenders were happy, and very helpful as well they make some amazing Drinks! To the Managers and Owners you have definitely brought back my trust in Authentic Mexican food being available in a restaurant again! We have been to this establishment a few times over the years - always for their Sunday brunch. The selection here for that is really, really good. You can have traditional breakfast or lunch items all served up with Mexican and Tex-Mex flair. They have chicken and waffles, an omelet station, salsa bar, taco bar, enchiladas - you name it. AYCE with up to 3 mimosas included - yes, please! My favorite items from the brunch selection include the blue corn enchiladas, salmon, grilled mushrooms (for tacos), and the avocado salsa. You really can't go wrong with any items from the brunch stations. Get here early to enjoy the items at their freshest and before the place fills up. The staff here is friendly and out to make sure you enjoy your experience here. The restaurant is always clean, and the vibe here is festive. read more

Arrived on a Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and we were first, then the dining room filled up. The place is cheerful with light colored wood and open areas, two rooms and a patio. Nice menu with decent prices. I had a house margarita on the rocks. Wasn't tart. Was very good. We ordered the chile relleno-enchilada combo and the famous fajitas. Both meals were plentiful and delicious. Everyone was friendly. The server checked on us regularly and kept our water glasses full. The manager stopped by to see how everything was. I've been wanting to come here for the longest time and we finally made it happen. They have a decent selection of traditional breakfast items, both American and Mexican, along with some popular Mexican dishes like taco, and enchiladas (among others). My favorites were the sweet corn cakes, taco's (the taco bar with the toppings was amazing), chilaquiles, chips and salsa bar, the garlic chicken wings, and the waffles. Lots of variety to choose from, including a make your own omelet station. Our server was friendly and cleared our used plates quickly. They do get busy so I do recommend a reservation. The way the tables are arranged can be a bit tight depending on where you are sitting. I can definitely see myself returning with my family. read more

We got seated immediately and they offer happy hour in the restaurant (not just the bar) Most places limit HH pricing to bar area - not only did they have great drink prices but food too!! We took advantage of 2.50 tacos before 6pm and also a sampler plate. It was more than enough- even got some yummy chips and salsa to go! I'm not sure why this restaurant is rated so low, I really enjoyed my food and experience here! I went with my husband and we sat outside, it was beautiful. I got their goat cheese enchiladas with coconut rice and black beans, which I thought was unique and delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. I LOVED their fried sweet potatoes and salsa. I'll be coming back to try their additional veggie enchiladas, if I could change one thing I wish I had 3 enchiladas instead of 2! read more

This is the best brunch buffet in the area! I wish I could have taken more pics, but it was so busy and I was in the way, haha. They have meats, traditional Mexican breakfast items, rice, beans, waffles, potatoes, and so much more! The service is fantastic and the buffet includes three mimosas per guest of age- all for $28 a person. It is a little loud in the restaurant but that was so easy for me to look past since the food is amazing. Highly recommend this place, but get there early because it's gets busy. read more

Milestone Birthday Brunch great service, food and fun reconnecting with beautiful people I haven't seen in years! Although we did not have a private room which would have helped with the loudness due to other patrons, there was enough room for 26 people. Our server did a great job making sure that we were taken care of.. The brisket, salmon, sweet potatoes and Mimosas are on point and they also provide a to go option in nice packaging! The omelet that was made was ok; to be fair I season my eggs with herb seasoning. The biscuit was dry. The other guests enjoyed all the food. I went there with a large group of people and our server was extremely patient with us playing musical chairs, quick to get what we wanted, and almost had the split checks correct. They serve a fresh and delicious brunch buffet. They serve the same varied items weekly, but it is do delicious that is just fine with me. Some unique items include chillenquiles, baked salmon, brisket, etc. They have a dessert bar and queso section. The staff is mostly very nice, with the exception of a couple who judy stand stound the waiter area and watch their phones and talk to each other. We love the guy who does the fresh omlets. The music is upbeat and fun and the ambiance is a litle trendy. With the brunch, yiu get up to 3 mimosas, tea, coffee. Lemonsde, etc. They also have speciality drinks for sale including a delicious "Breakfast Shot" that is boubon based. It is usually aboyt $30 pp, but more if you drink they speciality drinks. This location in Plano has a qater view and an outdoor oatio with a fireplace. We love how it just sets the tone for the week when we go on Sundays and it takes us away from our usual. read more

I ordered a 2 taco combo that came with rice and beans. The tacos are very average so don't expect much here. Honestly the best thing here might be their salsas. The food was ok. Some of our party's meals were good other not so much including mine. To me the flavor profile was just off on my blue crab and shrimp enchilada. Also their frozen margarita machines were both down but by the end they were working again so we at least got one frozen margarita each. The service was terrible and because we were a party of 10 there was an automatic 20% already added which I understand if our server had actually done her job. We were the only party in the restaurant by the bar. But she was also running the bar while another what appeared to be bar tender just sat at the bar and watched. There were also multiple servers that just hung around the hostess stand. It just felt like bc she knew she was getting 20% she didn't have to try or be attentive with our service. We had to wait for refills, had to flag her down multiple times for different things people in our party needed, and then came the cake. We had brought our own cake for the birthday party which they had put in their fridge which was great. But when we asked for it she just brought it out and a few plates. Most restaurants they take it out of the box for us and bring forks and serving stuff (we do this often for our friend group birthdays). Now it is not a requirement nor did we ask for it so that's fine but I think we were all so frustrated with her that it was just the icing on the cake no pun intended. And then I had to go track down silverware as she watched me from behind the bar just cleaning stuff (there was no one at the bar) and then had the nerve to walk up after I found the silverware and handed them out to everyone and go "oh I forgot about the forks." Ma'am you watched me hunt around and find them and take them back to my table bc you were busy cleaning. So needless to say it was just lacking. The restaurant itself was very cute and clean but the vibe was just that they didn't want us there and they wanted to go home. We were there at 530pm. It's not like we were keeping them past closing or anything. Overall would not recommend and will not be back. read more

So we went there today, as I was craving some really good american breakfast but buffet. Don't know why!.. Anyhow.. I knew would be mexican american which was fine. My only problem was there was not breads, fruits, why would you have 5 eggs dishes?! and then the normal deal mexican food.. Would I go back? NO, just bc there is not a lot breakfast items .. when you go to a buffet i was think like fruits salads, different types of bread, bacon, sausage, and so for.. the normal... but it was not the normal :) . We have been meaning to try this place for ages, there was never a right time for it. This past weekend we did not have anything to do so we decided to try the brunch here! We called 30 mins before and made reservation just to avoid busy crowd on Sunday and wait times! It was 70% full and we were promptly seated and gave our drinks order. Kids wanted to try the chips and dip! They were bit disappointed to see there was no cheese dip! In the thanksgiving section, brisket was very dry I couldn't swallow. Honey baked ham was yum! Fresh made omelette section was great! I loved the tex mex section which had the enchilada with red sauce, corn cake, black beans. Build your own tacos was the hit of the meal. Three meat options and lot of filler options. Jalapeño relish was just amazing. Everything tasted great with relish. All in all, it was a good experience! I am a true Mexican foodie, I have been a frequent patriot at this restaurant for happy hour Sunday brunch and even dinner, but the food was good. The service was great the waiter, but there was a roach crawling on the booth that we were sitting in then up the wall and that really just is not acceptable. This place needs to be exterminated and remodeled looking at the baseboards of the walls .They're old never paid attention before now but that's just unacceptable. I brought it to the attention of the waiter, but the manager never came over and she said she told the manager they never came over to say anything. read more

This was our backup supper out location as the first one was too busy again for use of gift coupon from relatives. I got a signature meal while SHE who cashes my retirement check opted for choose two to make a meal. Both were great. Timing was everything as our order got stuck behind 50 take out orders in kitchen. Bummer. But the Blue Margaritas helped pass the time. Plenty of food for both so we got lots for leftovers. read more
