This was my first time visiting this place and as you enter it's kind of mixed Nepali/Country vibes! The ambiance is really nice and they even have a stage for live music, though it was quiet during lunch hours. So on to the food, I had to try my favorite food, momo of course! I tried the pressure cooker mutton momo, and it was amazing! The momo, the mutton soup were fantastic, easily the best part of the meal. The steamed chicken momo, on the other hand, was really dry and the achar (sauce) was one of the worst I've had. It was that bad! I also tried the chicken thali that came with chicken curry, black chickpeas potato curry, lentils, saag, papad but most of it was disappointing. The rice was stale, the papad wasn't crispy and both the chickpea curry and lentil were too salty. There were less items in the thali than other Nepali/Indian restaurants so this was below average! Lastly, the pork sekuwa set didn't hit either! The pork was seasoned to perfection but I was expecting more of proper texture of that of a traditional sekuwa. The whole set was good tho and I prefer this over the thali set. The staff were nice but not very attentive,and we had to call for help several times just to get service. Overall, I'd go back just for the pressure cooker mutton momo, but the rest of the dishes and the service definitely need improvement, especially with so many other Nepali and Indian spots around. p.s. adding one additional just for the mutton pressure cooker momo read more

Must try! We enjoyed our meal so much that it was gone in fractions. Sharing a quick video of tandoori salmon and picture of Noodles. I've never had Nepalese food so I didn't know what to expect. I made a comment to the server that their food is similar to Indian cuisine and she said BaseCamp is more of a fusion restaurant so I still don't know what Nepalese food is all about. $20 for a lunch buffet on a weekday is steep. I thought the variety is good, but the flavors weren't strong. There wasn't one dish in the buffet line that stood out. The best part about the dining experience was the Garlic Naan. This place has so much potential -- and I truly hope they get it right. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The vibe is seriously cool -- relaxed, creative, and visually immersive. Large screens surrounded the space, there's a distinct energy and mood here that makes you want to stay, hang out, and enjoy yourself. The layout is spacious, and the design clearly had thought put into it. It's a place you walk into and think, "This could be my new spot." The food was decent -- somewhere between average and above average. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid enough. The presentation was excellent. Definitely not the problem. Unfortunately, the service really let everything down. From the very beginning, it felt like we were being ignored. No one stopped by to ask how we were doing, if we needed anything, or to check in on the food or drinks. The only time we interacted with the staff was when something finally arrived, to clear the table and subtly remind us it was time to pay. Our server seemed completely disengaged. No smile, no warmth, no interest in the table. We ordered drinks, and they took quite a while to show up. The bar was empty (A Friday evening) and the bar tender stood around - we hoped they knew we were waiting. When the beer finally arrived, it was warm -- room temperature. She casually told us it had just been put in the cooler. No apology, no effort to fix it, just a statement and a shrug. We ordered three beers in total, hoping things would get better. Sigh. They didn't. Throughout our visit, a small group of staff stood in the center of the restaurant chatting and looking bored. Meanwhile, we sat waiting -- first for drinks, then for food, and always wondering if anyone would check on us (they didn't). The food took over 30+ minutes to arrive (the appetizers), and then the entrees came out one dish at a time, not together. This place has everything else going for it: A unique, standout atmosphere, well-designed space, concept that feels fresh and different. I had lunch here recently, my daughter and I both like unique food experiences. The menu was a mix of Indian, Himalayan and Chinese. We ordered the Chicken Momo to split as an appetizer we both thought the steamed dumplings were good and liked the sauce that came with them. I ordered the Thali plate with chicken. It came with rice, a legume curry, chicken meat in a curry sauce, some sort of soup, a papad, pickle and gulab jamun for desert. My daughter ordered Chicken Sekuwa khaja set. I refrtained from the most commonly known Momos in favor of a something unique to this cuisine - Tkhupa. I enjoyed the mix took part which was a brothy soup. I wasn't sure what it would taste like when I ordered it and found it to be a delightful explosion of mild spices cooked together to make this delicious noodle soup. The service was absolutely fantastic. The cuisine is novel and I had questions that the servers answered as well as offered excellent recommendations and suggestions as to what would complement another item on the menu that I was interested in. Wow! I am reviewing this place for the food that I never got . We arrived at 7:30 PM when only 20 % to 30% of the tables occupied.. Gave our order for the appetizer and waited for an hour. My friend got her water after couple reminder to the server. After an hour , we spoke to the manager and he didn't even have the decency to speak to us and understand the matter. Had no choice but to leave.. just having a fancy menu at a good location will not do anything if you don't have service skills needed to be in this industry! I would give them -100 read more
