I came in at 1:30pm Thursday. It wasn't too crowded a few tables. 2 gentleman cam up and I told them I'd like to place an order Togo. I was so excited to have an Indian restaurant in town I was waiting to see the now open sign. I wanted to order about 5 things on the menu, however it was just for me and my husband. I decided with tiki Marsala chicken, vegetable samosas, and garlic naan. I drive all the way to SD for good Indian food so I had high expectations. Boy was it amazing. I ordered medium heat and I think that was perfect, spicy yet you could still taste the food. The samosas were full of veggies and again very flavorful. My small complaint is they forgot my garlic naan which I love to dip it in my Marsala sauce. They still get 5 stars why? Accidents happen and when I called to tell them. They apologized and the man took my name and said he would cook something special for me and include the garlic naan. Way more than I could have asked for. I can't wait to go back. Waited patiently for this restaurant to open! We visited their Temecula location several times and loved the food! So happy to hear that they would be opening right around the corner soon! We were there opening evening and it was wonderful! Very happy to see the same staff from the other location! Will be frequenting at a LEAST a couple of times a month, I'm sure! I've been to this restaurant many times over the years. The portions have gotten smaller and the service has been invisible. The servers should leave their cell phones at home and pay attention to their customers. read more

It was a long wait for the eventual opening of this location, especially as we've enjoyed their Temecula facilities. However, now it's operational it does not disappoint, in either food or service. The menu is the same at all locations, I believe, and offers a broad selection to cater to those new to Indian food and those more adventurous. I sampled the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was very tasty. I would caution when making a spice selection though as I asked for medium and it was rather hot. I tried a medium Vindaloo on another occasion and it was fine, however. The service is pleasant and attentive, although there are some occasional glitches which are recognized and dealt with in a pleasant manner with suitable solutions. The decor is clean, plain and uncluttered, similar to Temecula, and the ambiance is informal with lively but unobtrusive chatter. read more

indian food is so good it's crazy. ended up going with the chicken korma, mango lassi, and garlic naan, and was in no way disappointed. i MIGHT end up passing on mango lassi next time just because $4 for this size of a drink is a lot for me, but it was really good. so maybe i would get it again. much to consider. it was hot, delicious, and ready when i got there, so i truly cannot complain in any way read more

We have eaten at the Temecula location for many years. Today we tried the new Menifee restaurant closer to home. It was for lunch; they were not terribly busy, perhaps 15 customers while we were there plus some take-out. We found the food to be fresh and tasty, just as we experienced in Temecula. We were seated promptly by the gentleman in charge, and our waitress in a polo shirt and jeans took our order which arrived quickly. We had the tikka masala (mild) and the vegetable curry plus rice. We skipped the naan bread, but then wished we hadn't as it came out to others looking so good. Not a single complaint from us. I hope they will be as successful as their previous two locations. As soon as you walk in the door you are hit with the most amazing smell of flavors you know immediately that it's gonna be good. And it is!! My wife had the chicken tikka and I did the chicken curry. Both were amazing and the curry was possibly the best I've ever tasted. The rice was perfectly light and fluffy. And the house beer the Taj Mahal is delicious. Full of flavor and well balanced. We all complain about getting more fast food joints and nothing new. Well here it is. Something New, not fast food and different. The service was excellent and the wait time was minimal and completely appropriate. We'll be coming back here at least once a month for dinner. read more

Healthy choice in Menifee!!! Excellent service here. They were very hospitable and informative. The ambiance was calming with nice low light. Prices are affordable; I have a new place to come when we go out to eat. I ordered fish curry. It came with Basmati rice. The bread was separate, the garlic naan, yummy! The mango lassi was a tasty treat. For spicy level, you can choose your own spice level. I highly recommend Himalayan Taste to anyone looking for good food and nice ambiance and affordable prices.
