This place has the best/most consistent teriyaki that I've had in the Eastside and Seattle area. I always get the sauce on the side, as it's a little sweet. But I frequent it at least three times a week. There are typically only two people that take the orders at the register and they are both the nicest and sweetest people you'll meet. There seems to be a large following for their sushiI and I've tried it but I am still preferential to the teriyaki. The portions are always very generous. Highly recommend. read more

The food was very flavorful, plentiful portions, and frankly the best I've had on the east side by far. The owners are super friendly and take care of you while you're there. FOOD POISING!! I stopped and ate lunch today with my daughter here. We ordered a general tso chicken at 12:15. It was the only food I've eaten all day by 3 PM. I'm violently ill and cannot stop vomiting. I called the restaurant to warm about the food to stop serving that dish and to ask for a refund. I always order chicken yakisoba. Since the new owners have taken over I've been 3 different times. I've always asked for the broccoli to be cooked longer as I don't like hard broccoli. I was told it's still gonna be a little hard. This time was spot on with the broccoli. Very disappointed. I ordered the chicken teryaki. It was cold and extremely dry. There was no one in the restaurant, I suspect it had been sitting around and not freshly grilled. The portion was small for 14.99, which was probably good because it was really tough to choke down. You've been warned and I won't be returning. read more

The corner of the building restaurant in the Pine Lake Village is home to my favorite Teriyaki place and THE BEST sushi bar on the plateau! The food is cooked to order, quickly, expertly and very fresh! Have a favorite sushi roll? Ask them to prepare it "crunchy" rolled in their decadent panko mix - it takes a "good" California roll up to "WOW!!!" Make sure you have a few minutes to study both menus before you order. This is definitely the kind of place that attracts many different taste buds. I caught myself last time wishing I'd ordered a bowl of miso soup too! The kid next to me had a bowl and it's savory green onions and miso fragrance wafted over and teased me terrible. It's on my list to add for next time I'm out there, for sure! So I've now had their sushi quite a few times and only the spicy tuna was blah. Their other items are good. Just a note - ask for more ginger bc I feel like they skimp on that and sometimes even forget. Their chicken stir fry lunch special was good with lots of veggies, their CA rolls are really good and so are their bento boxes. Got the beef and chicken and both were HUGE and delicious. Bento boxes came with 8 pieces of CA rolls (not the same size as their regular older), tempura veggies and a tempura shrimp, rice, Teriyaki meat (we had an order of beef and an order of chicken), rice, and a salad. In the end we had leftover Teriyaki and rice for a snack the next day or a meal if you have a small salad to go with it. My office is located very close to Himitsu Teriyaki, and my co-worker and I used to eat here for lunch at least once a week for the last 13 years. I always ordered the chicken stir fry, one of their lunch specials. I actually stopped eating at Himitsu about six months ago after I noticed that the lunch special prices were steadily increasing. Recently at my co-worker's urging, we went back to Himitsu for lunch for the first time in six months. Himitsu has now completely eliminated their lunch special menu. My regularly-priced lunch with a soft drink came out to over $23.00! I realize that the inflation rate is 7.5%, the cost of labor is going up, and the world is suffering from supply chain issues. I used to be a small business owner as well as recently as 2020 and experienced this firsthand.
