    Red Spicy Ramen

Really liked this place. Very family friendly. It's located where Kiku was before which we was a Japanese place we went to for years, same exact table floor plan and sushi counter. The spicy ramen was great, salmon dinner, and sushi rolls are fresh and filling. I like traditional cone shaped hand rolls, these were more like tacos. The Chirashi bowl looks quite elaborate and is big, but pretty steep price ~$50. Anyway loved the service here and the food here and will be back for sure. To-go service is excellent!

Green pesto ramen - the flavor was as expected. Tasted like a buttery pesto and I felt it was better than the black sesame ramen. The chashu, however, was dry and disappointing. It came with 2 pieces of chashu. Black sesame ramen - this was not as expected. There's a hint of black sesame but the flavor was mostly squid ink. It should be called squid ink ramen. Chicken karaage - this was ok.

Great service and beautiful presentation! The food was overall enjoyable, but the quality can be a little inconsistent. During this visit, we found a surprisingly large bone in the toro sashimi, which was definitely unexpected. Hopefully the kitchen can pay a little more attention to the preparation. Still, we had a nice experience overall and would come back again.

Ramen Nori is located in Plaza 520 in Bellevue. The plaza has plenty of parking. We arrived in the afternoon to have lunch as a group of three. There was a bit of a wait during this time. It was no more than 30 minutes. Even though we were all quite hungry, we were willing to wait it out since this is a newer spot we have been wanting to try. I ordered the Original Tonkotsu Ramen (pork belly chashu scallions, wood-ear mushrooms, and soft-boiled egg) and Toro Hand Roll. My friend and I also decided to order the Crazy Tuna Roll (Spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber inside topped with seared 7-spiced tuna, crispy onion, eel sauce & spicy mayo) to share. All our food came out faster than we expected, which is great! The food was good and so was the service. I loved before able to have multiple types of foods to eat at once (a little bit of sushi and ramen together).

Food was good. The spicy ramen has a great amount of spice but it felt sort of heavy. I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the egg. My husband got the Wagyu and liked it. Service was friendly and cost per person given the area was reasonable ($20-30). The ambiance was pretty chill. Loved it!

Will definitely be my go-to ramen place going forward! The spicy red ramen was so delicious, a great amount of spice with a lot of depth to the broth. Place was popping on a Sunday afternoon, but we still got seated within ~15 minutes for 3 people. I'm excited to come back and try the sushi

    Chirashi Bowl ($45)

There was no wait for 2 people on a Sunday around 1pm. We were seated quickly, and the food came out soon after we ordered. We got the Chirashi Bowl ($45), Perfect Hamachi Roll ($18), and Salmon Lover Roll ($17). The rolls are decently sized and taste like standard rolls. I think the better value is with the chirashi bowl, even though it costs more ($10 more than these 2 rolls combined), because it comes with better, thick cuts of fish. I haven't tried the ramen here, but I would get the chirashi bowl again. It's in a plaza that has plenty of free parking.

I split two signature ramen bowls with my friend on our visit, and both completely blew us away. This spot nails deep, layered broth flavors and premium toppings without overpricing everything. First up, the black sesame ramen. The broth is thick, nutty, ultra-creamy from freshly ground black sesame, balanced with subtle miso notes that never taste heavy or cloying. Every slurp carries warm roasted sesame aroma, and the chewy house noodles soak up the savory soup perfectly. Topped with soft marinated ajitama egg, crisp scallions and nori, it's comforting and full of depth--ideal if you love earthy, nut-forward ramen bases. We also ordered their wagyu ramen, which is the star luxury pick here. Thinly sliced A5 wagyu sears lightly in the hot broth the second it hits the bowl, turning impossibly tender and buttery with every bite. The beefy umami from the wagyu elevates their silky tonkotsu soup, creating a rich, steakhouse-adjacent ramen experience you won't find at basic noodle shops. The portion of wagyu is generous enough to share, and the marbling melts on your tongue with zero tough chewy bits.

The restaurant is in a strip mall with enough parking and the inside is clean and simple. We came for ramen and the choices were underwhelming as was the flavor and meat. We expect a lot more out of a ramen place, especially since there are so many options in the area. We did order some sushi rolls in the end and those were much better. The large rolls were a great size and tasted good. I hope they are also getting their health dep rating up again, not a fan of okay only. Service was nice, but they have issues with reservations. They take them over the phone, but don't seem to always write them down. They weren't able to find ours, but at least were able to seat us quickly.

Ramen Nori is a good addition to the Bel-Red area. I came here partially cause the restaurant was on resy and needed to use my Amex credit. Overall it's pretty good and solid option. It's definitely not the best but gets the job done if you catch my drift. I would definitely come back if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of the way for it. Staff: okay depending on how busy it is (3.5/5) Sanitation: okay (3/5) Scallop hand roll (4/5) This was pretty good, I think their hand roll options are decent and come with a plastic cover to make sure the ingredients don't make the rice soggy. Wagyu Ramen (4.5/5) This ramen was pretty good. A tonkotsu broth with piece of Wagyu beef in it. The broth was rich but not too heavy and was creamy as well.

Got menu-baited by the super unique options to come try this place. Specifically the pesto ramen and sesame ramen. I got the sesame ramen but definitely liked the pesto ramen more. The base is a tonkotsu which is already super rich and the sesame earthiness added to that made it overwhelming for me. The pesto felt lighter with a flavor combination that worked better. Kinda confuses the brain when you have pesto and ramen in the same bite, but in a fun way.

I come for the rolls but pass on the ramen. Perhaps they're just not my style. Love the King Salmon rolls, Seahawks rolls and bentos though! Good service too!

This a popular ramen shop in the Bellevue area and they have some very unique ramen flavors. I got their pesto ramen that was creamy, rich and had a great pesto flavor! This was very different but I thoroughly enjoyed it! They also offer more traditional ramen and other items like sushi and takoyaki. Tasty and unique ramen flavors that aren't all hype! Does this place take reservations or do they allow walk in? How does the waitlist work?

They do take telephone reservations, but most people show up and register on their waitlist system upon arrival. Although they often have five to ten people waiting, they move through the waitlist quickly.

Now that's out of the way, Santouka is pretty straightforward - they sell different kinds of ramen and have various appetizers. They also have dipping ramen! Their ramen comes in 3 different sizes and the menu describes the differences (ie more meat, more noodles, etc). I got the karage and it came with a side of mayo and spicy mayo. The texture was crispy and the chicken was juicy. The ramen was pretty solid and the broth was very rich and flavorful. I appreciated that the food came pretty quickly after ordering. This one is completely different, being full service with a much larger, expanded menu. The interior is modern and the service snappy. I've only eaten ramen at Santouka before, but they were advertising katsu curry as the summer special, necessitating me to order that instead given my love for the dish. Tonkatsu Curry ($17.50) - The rice seems to be a higher quality short grain, with a superior mouthfeel as compared to typical Nishiki or Calrose medium-grain rice used by most Japanese restaurants in the US. In this case, however, it's cooked with a little too much water, rendering the rice mushier than expected. The curry is not good at all, almost offensively so. It's thin and watery, with as dilute of a curry spiced flavor as possible. It's like a gritty and unpleasant apple sauce in mouthfeel - in fact, my guess is that they do grate a ton of unripe apple into the curry. So much that it gives bitter tartness to the dish, but not any apple flavor or sweetness. Bizarre. The tonkatsu is decent. It's thinly pounded, relatively crisp on the exterior, and is tender with no tough or fatty bits inside. They drizzle it with tonkatsu sauce which doesn't go well with the curry in my opinion. Although given how flavorless the curry soup is, it might actually be needed here just to boost the flavors up somewhat. On top of the rice,, they include a slice of narutomaki, two slightly fried pieces of red bell pepper and an entire ramen egg, cut in half. The egg is tender but with both yolk and white completely set. It's a very interesting choice in toppings - not typically found in katsu curry dishes. It gives the dish a ramen fusion type of feeling, as befitting of a ramen shop. (2/5) The curry was genuinely one of the worst I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I probably should have stuck to the ramen. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms

I definitely still enjoy their ramen and it's definitely still good, but it's hard to justify a long wait for just ramen. But nonetheless, it is still one of the cheapest meals you can get in Seattle. I don't think I'll be getting Ramen Danbo too often anymore, since their line has gotten really long. If you've been to their first Seattle location in Cap Hill, this location resembles that one in many ways, though this one in Redmond is noticeably much bigger and has more seating that isn't squished together. There's bar seating and a bigger number of four-tops compared to the Cap Hill location, though the wooden wall scheme is the same for both. They serve katsu here with many types of meat cuts, all of which are listed on their menu with descriptions. Service overall was fast and efficient even when tables around us started filling up with hungry patrons. For our food: - The K&O karaage was all right at best. Meat inside is very tender and juicy but the aromatic toasted powder has so much salty flavor - and outer coating was also so dry - that my friend and I needed to drink water constantly while eating it. We could have skipped getting this. - We each got their jidori chicken oroshi katsu. This comes with their jidori chicken, essentially high-quality free-range chicken breast cutlet... and it was very juicy, with the Panko coating being the right kind of crunchy in all areas. We weren't fans of the grated radish sitting on top of all that katsu though, and most of the dish was their shredded cabbage as usual. The cabbage goes really well with their peanut sauce provided at our table. We both left feeling really full and overstuffed in a good way, though I would pass on getting the karaage if you're already getting one of their katsu dishes. Distance- and seating- wise, I'd come back here for their katsu whenever I don't feel like dealing with the parking situation that is Cap Hill.
