Went here recently and absolutely loved it! I came with my family and we all ordered sushi. The staff brought it in a very aesthetic boat! The actual taste was very fresh, and I enjoyed the various spicy and umami tastes. The crunch roll was really fun, got some extra texture!

We wanted to take my mom to lunch & this place is one of her favorites so we stopped in. We were hungry so we ordered lots of sushi & rolls as well as sashimi & hamachi. Our server was so patient waiting for us to decide on the expansive menu. Everything was really fresh & delicious- we'll definitely be back.

This is a "Rainbow Roll". I've seen better at gas stations.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. These guys started off so well last year, when they just opened (not withstanding constant staffing problems- they would be closed two or three days every week because someone would not show up). Now - their food got terrible. Just terrible. They changed recipes and their quality had gone to shit. What used to be a cucumber rolled delicate piece if fish is now a slab of rice wrapped in green rice paper. The most basic Rainbow Roll is s wad of rice with a dime size of yesterday's piece of salmon with funky smell. Osaka Tower - what used to be a cube comprised of three kinds of fish in rice paper, is now a wad of rice in a gulp of hot sauce - so spicy that my spice-loving husband got instant hiccups attack. This is usually done to conceal funky-smelling past expiration fish.

This is a low key neighbor establishment with average ambiance and decent food. My daughter and I were seated promptly and we ordered what the waiter said was popular menu items. The sushi was good but it is not a place I would drive a long distance for. Good! Just not outstanding.

Finally! A sushi spot in Sammamish with specialty rolls, bento boxes, ramen and more. From the looks of it, Big Fish is off to a promising start since opening a few months ago. We've visited a few times already and always see takeout bags piled on the counter waiting for pickup. Recently, we ordered from their lunch specials menu which offer a variety of sushi and kitchen options at very reasonable prices. However, I'm most impressed by their selection of 30 specialty rolls, many of which are not only creative, but also artistic. I've tried three of them so far which I thought deserved a quick spotlight! + Snow White Roll ($13.95): Crab salad and tempura shrimp inside, topped with albacore, black tobiko, avocado and eel sauce. Between the fresh crab, crunchy and meaty tempura, smooth avocado and slightly sweet eel sauce to finish it off, this was a cohesive and satisfying roll. + Dream Salmon Roll ($12.95): A California Roll topped with seared salmon and spicy mayo. The salmon was nicely seared and the cucumber and crab inside tasted very clean. While I enjoyed this one overall, I would have preferred a lighter drizzle of spicy mayo. The sauce was smothered on top of the salmon and somewhat overpowered the other ingredients. + Scorpion Roll ($11.95): Cucumber and shrimp tempura inside topped with fresh shrimp and avocado, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Anyone who loves shrimp will find this delicious! Others in my group ordered the Spider Roll, Philly Roll and Spicy Tuna roll, which were tasty as well. We tried their dinner bentos on another occasion, which included gyoza, tempura, California Roll, rice and soup alongside whichever main you choose. We really appreciate the variety included within each bento, but we unfortunately do not recommend their teriyaki. The steak had a lot of fat and the sauce was more of a gravy with a heavy onion taste, while the chicken did not have that grilled flavor we hoped for. On the other hand, their katsu, tempura and chicken karaage were perfectly crisp and enhanced with a dip in their respective sauces. The staff even exceeded our expectations by poking holes in the takeout boxes of all the fried items to prevent condensation. Thanks to this, our katsu and tempura still had a nice crunch to them by the time we got home. In general, the staff is friendly and take great care in packing up our food. We always phone in our orders and appreciate how they read it back to us to ensure everything is correct. It's the little things that make all the difference. See you soon, Big Fish!

Big Fish Sushi is a sushi restaurant in Sammamish. It is at the location Lanponi Thai restaurant used to be. We've been here few times. The sushi here is always fresh and tasty. We usually order their Bento box, ramen, appetizers and rolls. Our order this last visit was a Sashimi appetizer my son loved. We got our usual California roll, spicy crab roll and rainbow roll. This time we ordered the spicy girl roll which as warm and crunchy that we thought was fantastic. We also got the vegetable and shrimp tempura that came with miso soup, crunchy salad and a small rice bowl. Overall it was a good dinner. Will come again.

My friend and I had a date night here last night; I'm really glad I finally checked out the restaurant after driving past it many times. We experienced really attentive and friendly service, and I liked the ambiance and easy parking. Everything tasted fresh and was beautifully prepared. My friend arrived late, so the staff brought an extra bowl of hot Miso so he didn't have to eat the cold soup. However, the Miso was so good that he ate both bowls happily! Even for a Saturday night, it wasn't too crowded-- a mellow mix of families and couples. I particularly enjoyed the spicier rolls. I noted that there are lunch specials and ramen available as well. Can't wait to come back!

Big Fish Sushi as multiple locations in the greater Seattle area, this one is located within a strip mall in Sammamish. Walked in on Sunday afternoon, was greeted and quickly seated at one of their nice roomy booth seats, plenty of windows for views outside, the table setting display was a nice addition with reusable chopsticks, not something you come across everyday. Service was friendly and helpful throughout the meal. Sorry I only took the one picture of only a small portion of the menu, as they have a lot of sashimi and sushi rolls to choose from, definitely looking forward to returning to try more. Kept it simple this time, edamame and gyoza appetizers, both fresh and tasty, cooked just right. The two rolls I ordered, California roll and eel/avocado roll were both very fresh, avocado just the right ripeness, fresh cucumber and eel, crab mixture was good and fresh. My only complaint was the rolls could have been more compressed, as they too easily fell apart when picking up with chopsticks. The ginger was very fresh and the wasabi was mild. They also have a bar area we're you can watch them preparing the rolls and the fish is in a refrigerated display case. Two big screens to watch sports, and a great choice of Japanese beers, and a few locals. A overall good solid sushi experience, great service and definitely looking forward to trying again soon. SYOY! Cheers!

The service there was great, the food came out quickly and fresh. As soon as we entered, the atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable, and modern. The food tasted great and the dessert was delicious. Overall, I would definitely go there again.

Way too expensive for the food you get. Food was pretty tasty but I can get this same meal at the many Japanese spots in and around Seattle for a more fair price.

Zushi Sushi is somewhere in between. I would not say to a Seattle person to purposely drive there. But I will say to folks nearby that it's a worthy restaurant. The place is neat and tidy, not showing its age yet, even though I know it has been opened for years. The service is swift and to-the-point. I am fairly certain this place is Japanese owned. Prices are fairly reasonable without the common 'Eastside tax'. I often find older restaurants to be more reasonably prices due to lower overhead. The Food: Avocado Bomb, $10 - 3.5 Stars Other than a bit too covered with tempura bits, this dish met expectations. The price matches what I have seen in Seattle. Salmon Belly (Sake Toro) Nigiri, $7 - 4.5 Stars Good cut and good white fatty stripes for sake toro. Thumbs up. Lion King, $15 - 4 Stars Menu: California with seared salmon on top and parmesan aioli, unagi sauce, scallion With these type of specialty rolls, presentation is as important as the ingredients, combination, and creativity. This roll as the best out of the three we ordered. Zushi Flower, $19 - 3 Stars Menu: Shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy tuna with seared salmon on top, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, parmesan aioli, and kaiware, red tobiko on top This specialty roll did not at all look like the photo. At $19, it's the most expensive amongst their rolls. Disappointing. The ingredients and taste were fine. It didn't warrant the Zushi namesake, and I don't see 'flower' in its presentation. Cherry Blossom, $15 - 2.5 Stars Menu: salmon, avocado, cucumber, and tuna on top This roll was the most 'man-handled' looking roll amongst the three we ordered. It also did not look like the photo. In one of the pieces, I spitted out a brown piece of something. It turned out to be the tip of the avocado. They graciously offered to take it off the check or make a new roll. Grilled Hamachi Kama, $14 - 2 Stars This was a very dull and boring hamachi kama. Not much seasoning, not much sear, the skin is not crispy, yet the fish is overcooked to the point of being dense. Tempura Oreo, freebie We were gifted a tempura Oreo. Interesting and pretty, but not something I would order. No rating. I wish Yelp would do half stars. I think they are a solid 3.5 Stars. Not enough 'good' happened (other than the comp'd roll) for me to bump them up to a 4 Stars.

I had the salmon avocado roll which came with generous cuts of salmon avocado and rice. It was bigger than I expected. Order at the counter or kiosk. Sit down and dine. Simple. Tables were mostly full when I arrived on a Friday evening at 6pm but there's enough table turnover that waiting for a table didn't take long. Lots of takeout customers. Despite having lived in Issaquah for ten years and loving sushi, I've never been to this restaurant and after actually eating here, now I know why. I understand that there were only maybe two or three other parties in the restaurant so maybe it's not feasible for them to have a variety of sushi on the belt at all times, but it was still unfortunate and not the experience we were looking for. I ended up ordering a shrimp tempura roll from our server, and it was brought to our table. The roll was okay, and tasted the way I expected it to, I just wish it had more eel sauce and spicy mayo on it.
