Gary, the owner, came in record time (and on time) to diagnose and treat our intermittently clogging toilets. He was terrific. Explained everything thoroughly, ran a video camera down to the street, and then flushed the incredible amount of build-up (40 years' worth) in our drain with a fancy high-powered water jet that really got the job done. Even showed us the before/after video as he was doing it! We felt his price was reasonable for what was done, considering the high tech equipment used. Toilets flush great now! Thanks, Gary. Had a plumbing leak in my wall. Hiniker folks came out and did a very good job. There was one item I had a question about a pipe that was nicked. I called about the pipe and Gary came right out and took a look and put my mind at ease. I later had an issue from a sink that I was working on and needed help on a Friday night. My review is a little late but I'm doing it now. Gary came out to my house on 9/23/16. I had to go to work but my adult son said he would be here for the plumber. I don't know what was stuck in the toilet but I needed it snaked. Gary fixed my plumbing issue in a timely manner. He was reasonably priced. And according to my son he was awesome. My water heater has been turning off at random, sent them a message to see if they could stop by and see whats going on. Within a few minutes I got a response and an appointment setup for later that day. Gary stopped by and was very straightforward, which is a good thing, apparently their was a problem with the control unit. He advised me to give the water heater company a call, since it was still under warranty it would be free, and order a replacement unit. I gave them a call and they shipped out the part, now i will be calling Hiniker Plumbing to swing by and install the part. "The last honest plumber" is their slogan, but that is a far stretch from the truth. The owner has no integrity. I called this company because it was on the list from the hot water company. My own gas can be that the hot water company does not screen their contractors. I called him and we schedule an appointment for the the morning however, he did not show and lied about getting my number wrong. So that we understand this, I called his cell phone number, my number was on his call list. I am left with two options he is either stupid or liar. I'm sure he's a liar. When I call to see where he was he was very aggressive. Time later on in the day which he made. Once he was there he did fix the problem but he was not there for more than 45 minutes and charged me 225 for the hour. All parts were under warranty so I did not have to pay for them. This is a second time my water heater has had the same problem. The first time they charge me $70 for the hour. this guy is a total rip off I will never use him and I warned you to never use him as well. read more

Disappointed. Called and made an appointment on Monday. During the call I wanted a approximate price on how much it would be the replace my kitchen faucet and flush out my water heater. I was accused of being another plumber calling for prices. Gary asked why I was asking for prices on basic things such as how much do you charge for a service call, how much would it be to flush out the water heater, how much to replace a faucet. He only let up and apologized more or less after I made a appointment for him to come out and take a look. I explained that I was shopping around for a new plumber after the one I had used for years started flaking on me with no notice and causing me to call and leave messages asking if he was still going to come by. I searched yelp and found this one. I liked that it said it was 24/7 and also had 4 star rating. I figured ok, Gary was a bit abrasive but I can understand other companies trying to price him out to compete. I also liked that the second time I called to inquire about the type of faucet I should buy Gary was very helpful. With that said I did not get a price on how much this would cost me. Would be nice to give an approximate cost since I am on a strict budget. But still, he was very nice the second phone call so I confirmed the appointment on Saturday for 10 am, hung up, and proceeded to Home Depot for the faucet. Due to personal reasons, I did not get to sleep until early Saturday morning. Regardless, my alarm went off so I proceed to wake myself up to get ready for the appointment. 10:20am hit and no phone call. I called Gary and he stated that he was at another customers house and running a bit late however I would be next to come by. Having already plans later that day I figured since I am next I should still be okay on time. 11:30 am hit I received a phone call from Gary stating that the job he is currently at is more complex than he thought and wanted to see if he can reschedule for later. Unfortunately still tired from waking up for the agreed 10am appointment, irritated that I had to call him at 10:20am to ask where he was, being asked to reschedule my appointment after I explained to him that I am leaving my last plumber for being late and not being able to keep the agreed appointment, and finally not wanting to cancel yet another set of plans for a different plumber I told him I would call Monday to follow up. I wanted to reconsider my thoughts in using him. I also asked approximately how much it would be to install a faucet (which I have already pre-bought) and flushing out my water heater. I was shocked at the price of approximately 125-150 (my plumber had been charging me 90) possibly more if it is complex plus the cost of flushing the water heater which he said shouldn't be much but still wasn't given a price. When I am told on the first phone call that his cost are very fair and competitive and hearing that cost and I had to follow up with him after he ran late.. And him trying to reschedule my appointment for a later time or date after having me wait around for another 1.5 hours of the original appointment then remembering how rude he was on the first phone call.. Yeah disappointed is a very good fit for what my non-service experience. I am however giving a two star vs one because 1) the second call he was very nice and informative and 2) he did at least call me at 11:30 (original appointment being 10 and me having to call at 10:20 because he was late) to try and reschedule. Maybe this would have been different review and experience if I actually decided to use his services and experience the quality of work but just frustrated overall from being blown off by two plumbers In 2 weeks I decided to you tube it and got it done myself with one trip to Home Depot for a tool (13 bucks after tax) and 30 min install of the faucet (my first time) and flushed out the water myself (very easy) ** update** First off.. I gave you a bad review because you were rude, second off I asked for pricing on replacing the faucet and draining the water heater and asking for pricing on the service call since yes that is what I needed done. I decided to give you a bad review because you were late and I had to call you to find out why. I wouldn't have bothered with a review had I cancelled. Calling a customer on time at 10am to let them know that you are running late and then giving the option is called common courtesy and good customer services. I felt you failed on that. Plumbing is a trade and also a SERVICE industry, simplify put I felt you had no regard for my time. My review was up front and it explained every detail of my experience there was no exaggeration. I have no dropped it to a one star as the extra star was to give you the benefit of the doubt but you have proved to be a rude inconsiderate company after all. read more

I really appreciate not being rushed into a more expensive repair. Once we found the drain my problem was fixed within minutes. I cannot express my gratitude enough to LOUIE for his extreme professionalism, expertise, and patience in repairing my Mother's kitchen faucet and resolving an unexpected issue that was a result of my deceased Father's "handy work". LOUIE came to the rescue for an emergency situation on a Saturday when Mom suddenly had no water flow in her kitchen. My Mom has suffered 2 strokes and has some heart issues, so any small or unexpected issues can be very upsetting to her. LOUIE worked diligently for several hours to troubleshoot and perform this repair. A follow up visit was necessary to complete the job, so I decided to surprise my Mom and show up to meet LOUIE and discuss what had happened and get more in depth details. My Mom had spoken fondly of LOUIE from her experience with him on that Saturday, and I could understand immediately as to how she was able to develop a trust and confidence in his work from my initial handshake with him. He has a very friendly smile and professional and warm disposition. The kitchen faucet is working like a champ.
