Hipsters, crisps and dips. That's what you'll get here.
This emporium of handmade vegetable crisps makes Hipster's happy. It's worth trying once in my opinion.
On my first visit I there's a feeling of novelty and surprise. The staff treat the crisps like delicate treasure wrapping and preparing them along side a selection of dips. The music was pop-ballads, and it cost about £12 for the selection we made.
The crisps where crispy & robust. Naturally flavoured of from the vegetables they use. Beats any store bought alternative in my opinion. It's just a pity the dips didn't hold up the standard. I tried one barbecue, one salsa, one sour cream & chive, and a chilli peppery one. The dips tasted stale and lacked the attention and care the crisps deserve.
I found the staff dazed and a little impersonal, focused more on packaging and ceremony. As it's a new store & novel product I had hoped for a passionate, friendly, and engaging buddy who could guide me through my options and let me feel at ease, buying crisps.
Go here if you want to surprise a friend or someone with a crisp chomping urge. Be courageous and ask questions, and be prepared for cautious, slower paced service. Make sure you grab napkins too.
I noticed you can have them delivered through Uber Eats. Maybe a good idea for a foodie gift, or those in need of a secret snack, or private Hipchips experience. read more
