Hiro sushi is hands down the valley's best sushi place! Smaller but very cozy space. The restraunt was very clean and well kept. We were greated and seated promptly even though we arrived a few minutes before evening dinner service. The sweet lady who was our waitress was very attentive and provided wonderful service. Our order came quickly after we enjoyed very flavorful hot soup and tea. We ordered the Fantasy roll, Medford roll, golden california roll and the stunning 911 roll which the chef lite tableside. Got food poisoning here:( first time we came about a year ago and we were fine but this time both my husband and I got really bad food poisoning, the worst I ever had. Be careful eating the raw fish or any shellfish here and watch for hand hygiene. I saw the chefs on their phone with gloves on and they wore the same gloves to prep my food... the food was yummy, but the results were terrible. We went here last night for a birthday dinner and everything was great, from the sushi to the service. We have ordered to go from here many times and have been very happy with our food. So tonight my husband, son and myself decided to dine in. The wait was 15 minutes which was great since we figured it would be longer. There were 3 tables in the restaurant due to social distancing so we figured it wouldn't take too long to get things going. However, once we got sat. We sat. And sat and sat. 25 minutes went and we watched everyone get drinks, food and we still hadn't even been greeted. The servers kept walking right by us to say hello to new customers walking in and wouldn't even glance our way when we tried to ask for someone to come over. Finally after 30 minutes a server came over and asked us what we wanted. We were so disappointed and frustrated we ordered food to go. With no thank you, apology or even an attempt at an explanation she took the order and left. Every table that was sat within 10 minutes of us was long gone by this point. We waited another 25 minutes for our food which they let sit on the counter for a long while so they could help other people with their to go orders. She tossed the check on our table. Yep we paid exact change not ashamed of it. I did ask her why we got left out and her only response was "there is nothing I can do for you". Her attitude was so rude I couldn't believe it. No accountability whatsoever. Communication goes along way and instead we were completely ignored for over an hour total. So this was the last time we will be coming here. It's unfortunate because we've told so many friends and family how great the food is, and then something like this happens. read more

Holy omg this place is awesome. Real family. Super friendly. Small place. Very clean. Food was fresh. I had double salmon roll and sashimi. Both were fast to the table and fresh. I went to Hiro Sushi for the first time today. This is the absolute BEST Sushi I have ever eaten anywhere ever!!! Everything was so fresh and delicious, the presentation was a work of art and the staff could not have been nicer. This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in the Rogue Valley! I have always been a sushi roll lover and Shinsei Sushi used to be my go-to place, but Hiro surpassed my expectations. The 911 roll is just as much entertainment as delicious sushi. They set the roll on fire at your table which is sure to be a favorite with the kids. I highly recommend the Fantasy and Medford rolls. Needless to say I ended up eating far too much. The presentation of the rolls was professional and creative. The service was good and prices were competitive. The restrooms were spotless and fresh. No fish smell anywhere in the restaurant. This a hidden gem off the beaten path, but it is worth seeking out especially for special occasions.
