Hands down my new favorite Pho place! The staff here was very quick to greet us as guests and sit us at a table. The waiter came over right away for drinks and made friendly small talk. The pho here is absolutely incredible! The size of the bowl it comes in is massive, and they bring out a side plate absolutely loaded with jalapeños, bean sprouts, basil, and lime wedges. I ordered the rare steak and brisket, which was nice because it was the same price as just ordering brisket or the rare beef, which is a rarity. The place looks like a former Pizza Hut on the outside, but it's fresh and new on the inside with a nice vibe. We were only here a few minutes when they were ready to take our order. We had one bowl of chicken pho (all white meat) and an order of spring rolls which were fresh and tasty. The service was fast and friendly. We'll be back soon! read more

As someone who grew up eating pho, this one just didn't quite hit the spot for me. The broth was a bit bland, and the noodles were a little too soft, causing them to break apart easily. We figured we would be safe from what we perceived as Chinese flavoring on dishes that were covered up with Vietnamese sweet chili sauce, by ordering the chow mien with shrimp which we had had two months ago. It was very good two months ago, but this version of it was completely different. Instead of a Vietnamese light sweet sauce it was heavy, salty, and thick tasting; the chow mein noodles were overcooked. Once was truly Vietnamese style , the one today was truly Chinese. Credentials: grew up getting food in little saigon in socal. Best and only authentic pho in the Rogue Valley! The broth is divine and they load you up with high quality fresh veg in the veggie pho. Brisket pho is great too. All of their other dishes are amazing too. I go the spicy hot dumpling sauce (more of a dumpling soup) and have also tried the garlic udon noodles. It seems they are still tweaking things - cucumber salad was different the second time I ordered it, but still great. Of their milk teas I have only had the Thai tea, but it tastes like actual tea and not powder, which a lot of boba shops use. You can definitely taste the difference. Service is quick and friendly. Sept 29th was their soft opening, so I went to check it out. Everything from this point on is made in present tense reference because I was describing it in the moment: It feels way more open (they took over what used to be a Pizza Hut) because of the lighter flooring & white-painted bricks. Obviously a little disorganized due to this is their first day; there wasn't a sign suggesting "seat yourself" or otherwise, but the owner (who also runs Happy Bowl in Ashland) waved his hand to do so. Also took a bit to get a menu- lots of tables around me are dirty even though they seem to have been vacant for a while. The men running everything (only two people, which is nuts) have certainly been nice, though I've had to make some assumptions because it's hard to hear them- not to say the music is 'loud' per se, just that it's louder than how they've addressed me. It adds to the ambience, though, so once you've ordered the atmosphere feels homely. You get a paper menu that's front/back only; looks pretty good- & lots of GF options. (Only just got water 15 minutes after sitting down, could use work on that) It's a little weird, looking around at my table, that not all of them have chopsticks or napkins available (mine included)- all the condiments, sure (hoisin, shoyu, chili crisp, sriracha) & a display for "feedback for mgt? Scan the QR code"... but that's it. Seems inconsistent. I ordered their Singapore Stir-Fried Noodles with chicken- more like they asked "with chicken?" I hadn't even thought of the protein & mostly didn't want to take up more time. Nice thing was it was rather quick- 10 minutes, maybe- fairly simple rice noodles with cabbage, carrot & (I think) onion with sliced chicken in a vibrant curry sauce. It's tasty, albeit salty, so the hoisin is a great touch of balance. Bathrooms are, apparently, ONE long stall. Not exactly ideal for multiple people, but it works for me. There's, also, no personality to the space- again, 'not like that's a bad thing', but it's boring otherwise- just white walls & some cleaning supplies that didn't get put away (who leaves toilet bleach sitting by the toilet?). The biggest drawback this place suffers from is time management- which I know, theoretically, will get better the longer it's around... but today seems especially slow. I, also, feel like having the multiple entrances makes it harder to flag staff down about seating... not like it's a bad thing, again, just feels disorganized... speaking of, do they want me to come up & pay like in Ashland? Am I supposed to wait for the check? Again, it's disorganized. The single dish ran for $13.95- not bad for a pile (& I DO mean 'pile') of noodles! Including tip, it ran for $17 even. I imagine it'll be hopping & bopping once they find their groove- in the meantime, this was fun & I wish them well. read more

We needed a restaurant like this in the valley! Fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious. I had the rare steak pho, while my husband had the general's chicken. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quickly, steaming hot and pleasantly plated. The vibes inside were comfortable, with nice roomy booths, as well as table seating. I went to another place in Ashland where I met the owner of Mr. Pho. Having newly moved to OR at the time, I loved coming to that restaurant for his friendly smile, excellent customer service and the delicious pho that reminds me of my Vietnamese community in Orange County. When he left that other establishment, the pho didn't hit the spot anymore. The service wasn't the same-- they didn't recognize us repeat customers. We came less and less often. We were so happy to hear about this place opening in Medford!! And we were sincerely hoping it was him that opening this new restaurant and that we would taste the delicious pho that we associated with him! This pho hits home! It does!! Seriously! This is coming from a Vietnamese person! From the moment the steaming bowl landed on my table, I was reminded of my Vietnamese family gatherings, where a pot of pho always meant comfort, laughter, and togetherness. The aroma alone--rich beef bones simmered low and slow, hints of what I think is star anise, cinnamon, and charred onion--took me right back to my mom's kitchen. Though-- I can only speculate that's what they use because it smells and tastes like what Vietnamese people use in traditional pho. What makes a good pho is all about balance, and this place nails it. The broth is clear yet full-bodied, not oily but deeply layered with flavor. The noodles are tender and actually mixed in and not mushy. It glides smoothly with every bite. I've been to pho restaurants where the pho is presented in a block form. It shows they didn't care about presentation or the customers visual satisfaction. The beef is thinly sliced and tender, soaking up the warmth of the broth perfectly. Fresh herbs, crisp bean sprouts, lime wedges, and chili slices arrive on the side, letting you personalize each spoonful just the way Vietnamese moms intended--adjusting the flavor to your taste, never rushed, always shared. A great pho doesn't just fill your stomach; it feeds your soul. This bowl reminded me of family Sundays, my mom ladling out bowls with care, and the way pho brings people together no matter the occasion. It's not just delicious--it's a piece of home. We are from the San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, and good pho is plentiful there as the area has the highest population of Vietnamese people in the US. I am happy to say we finally found pho that is comparable here in Medford. It is most excellent, especially with tripe and tendons. The broth is very authentic. read more

Ehhhhhh. My food was incorrect three times, and the waiter was incredibly condescending when I asked for it to be corrected. He made me pick apart my food to "prove" they had added an allergen I had requested be removed. When the second incorrect replacement arrived, he pointed at the ingredients and listed them off to me in a patronizing way, as if I were five years old. The third replacement was finally correct, but I overheard him mocking me in the back even though the mistake was his. He charged me incorrectly (2x the correct amount) and was incredibly rude when I asked him to change the price. Which honestly, should have been free considering the horrendous experience. Bad service, and the food was decent at best, and the place was dirty. You couldn't pay me to eat there again. read more

The good - my order was correct, the young lady who helped me was kind, and the portions were small but reasonable. I always order Pho Tai, which is rare beef and typically served raw (the hot broth is used to cook the meat the same way you would at hot pot or shabu shabu). Add-ins were fresh and broth was light colored with a mild flavor. The ok - they seemed short staffed or maybe I just came at a bad time, but there was a customer complaining about not receiving waters or drinks when I arrived, and the hostess was a bit frazzled (not sure if she was also their server). The meat did not taste as fresh as I expected, and they also only gave 1 packet of hoisin, 1 hot sauce, and oddly, a soy sauce (not commonly served with pho, in my experience). The meat was not bad, and i was not ill, so I think it comes down to taste and preference The bad - no way to eat my takeout. Noodles came stuffed in an origami takeout box (cute and more environmentally friendly than styrofoam or a large plastic bowl), but I could not eat the soup out of it, so I had to stop at Freddy's for a bowl. Guess I will add that to my carry-on bag moving forward...It would be easy to ask if the person needs a bowl and provide only when necessary, but other than that, it was a relatively middle of the road experience. One star deducted for very mild broth and meat with a slight off taste, as well as lack of condiments. If this is a new location, these things can be adjusted as they get their kitchen fully dialed in. No stars deducted for the bowl, because it was an excuse to experience the wonder of Fred Meyer, and I now have a pho bowl to travel with all the time, joining my stainless steel spork/bottle opener/screwdriver/hex wrench tool that somehow comes in handly far more often than you'd think. Just a suggestion to offer a bowl in case the customer needs one. read more

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The restrooms were filthy, and the waiter came to rush us to pay three times during our meal. The portions of noodles and rice were huge, but there was very little meat (even after I ordered extra meat, there was still very little). I repeatedly confirmed with the waiter that I wanted the set meal, but he charged me for each item separately instead of giving me the set meal price, resulting in extra charges. Definitely excited to give this place a solid four stars. As most people reading this are probably acutely aware, finding good pho in Southern Oregon is tough. They've barely opened and they already seem to have a pretty good system in the works. Slight mixup when the wrong bowls were brought to our table instead of another table, but they quickly fixed it and the speed at which everything came out was still impressive. Service was quick and friendly and it really seems like the staff is giving it their all. They even have a QR code that you can scan on the tables to give feedback to the management, which I forgot to do but hopefully they're reading this and I can add a plug for adding vermicelli noodle salad to the menu. Yes I overheard a mispronunciation of pho by one of the employees, but I'm sure you said it wrong the first few times too. OK now to the food! We ordered the chicken and the combo pho and they were great. Read Jacklyn H's review on the flavors, she nailed it. Everything looked fresh, the flavors were robust, and pretty healthy portions. We're excited to try it again soon, especially because it sounds like they are going to be adding fresh rolls to their menu, another thing that is definitely lacking in the valley. My wife and I came here at about 5pm. Lots of cars and lots of people but we were sat right away, our orders were taken after a few minutes and within 8 minutes the food arrived. Hot fried rice. Tangy, sweet orange chicken and crispy spring rolls all at very good prices for the portion size/quality. Open feel to the restaurant, low music in the background and everything looked very clean/organized. Excited to sneak away on my lunch break this week and eat here again. 10/10 read more

This was definitely one of the best Pho's I've had. Customers service was great. It was a little long of a wait but worth it. We were just passing by and it caught my eye so we gave it a go.
