My mom, sister and I went in to ask for information (e.g., how much would it be, etc) . They were not at all busy and still didn't acknowledge us for over 10 minutes. I would have left but we were told by a lady that Rosa was there to help. Rosa was NOT helpful. She dismissed what we said by cutting my mom off when my mom was describing what she wanted to do with her hair. Rosa was NOT at all welcoming. She rolled her eyes and sighed that we were there. I go here to get a trim every few months. I always go to Rosa because she really cares about how you want your hair to look. I pay $12 which I think is a steal for a great cut. I have friends who also go to Rosa for highlights and hair color and they always love the way it looks. I have had my hair cut and colored here by Rosa. She is fantastic. She is honest about it the process, if you're hair is too damaged for what you want and how well it will take. She has also cut my 4 year old sons hair. I call and make an appointment and sometimes the shopp is very busy as Rosa is working in multiple people at once, but I've always been happy. I have been coming here for over a year now and i love it!! . . .I became a client by accident. I came here to do my nails with Paulina and I asked for the price to dye my roots and next thing you know im getting my hair and nails done at the same time! I'm glad I found Vero! I came here with damaged hair and now its as healthy as it could ever be. The atmosphere is great. The ladies here love to laugh by telling jokes, singing, making fun of each other, its just great. I always leave with sore cheeks for laughing so much. The prices are cheap for really good service. The first time for being first time customer I paid $40 for the highlights and the roots cover up, hair cut and she did my hair! This place is just OK. I've been here 3 times because I really wanted to give them a chance but after today I will not be returning. They were recommended by a friend who gets her hair cut and dyed here. Because they were affordable i decided to give them a try. HUGE mistake!! Rosa cut my hair and it sucked!! They cut your hair dry. Not wet. Then they don't even style it. Looked as if my little brother had fun with my hair while I slept. 2nd & 3rd time I returned because I liked my friends hair dye. Again Rosa did my hair. It was OK. Not exactly what I wanted but livable. I only went the 3rd time because of convenience & because I was desperate to get my roots done. I'm not sure how the other hairdressers are but my experience with Rosa has not been great. She's rough when blow drying the hair. Feels as if a man is styling my hair. This place is a family run business with very loyal clientele that have been with them for over 20 years. Because of the large amounts of customers that go in daily, their business is definitely run differently than most salons. It is not a fit for every person. If you are a very particular and princess-like person than this is not the salon for you. This is not to say that they are not EXCEPTIONAL stylists, but they do share their attention with a few customers at a time. They do an AWESOME job for an INCREDIBLY low price! Their decades of experience are shown in their work. If you love the atmosphere of family and the flow of a casual and funny conversation then this is the salon for you. I do recommend going in during the week because their Saturdays can be very busy. In terms of the previous reviews, I would recommend that you actually visit a salon you are interested in before going in for your first appointment on your birthday. Miscommunication happens. Rosa, Paty, and Vero are all very loving but have different personalities. Vero is very comical so don't take the things she says too seriously. Hope you go back! read more

I'm a barber shop type of guy, I love all the trash talking, curse words, Loud music and barbershop talk. However that's all good for a grown man but not my 2yr old boy. This place does not honor appointment times. Yes they are affordable but they have you blow dry your own hair. You spend more time waiting than it takes to get your hair done. They take more appointments than they can manage. I made an appointment specifically stating I needed to be done by a certain time. She said I would be done, so I set my appointment. I arrive the day of 30 minutes early! I wait from 1:30-3:00 to then be told I would not done by 5:00. On top of that I have to tell them three times I am there for highlights and dye. No cut, no blow dry just that, because it wasn't my first time getting my hair done. And in the end they do it because she is behind 3 people. If you're looking for a no BS hair job and are willing to spend your day at the salon and are willing to blow dry your own hair than this is the place for you. I had made an appointment with Rosa to bleach my hair at 12:30 So I went in at 12:20, signed in and sat down. 20 minutes passed and I still hadn't been helped. This lady comes in with NO appointment and she needs her hair to be dyed and cut. And automatically she was helped instantly within 10 minutes she was already sat on a chair again NO APPOINTMENT while I on the other hand had made an appointment and I still hadnt even been acknowledged and they knew I was there. I didn't say anything Bc whatever it happens. But it was 1:30 and I still hadn't been sat on a chair. It wasn't until 2:06 that I was actually sat on a chair. So I tell her what I want and she tells me "that's too hard. You have two different colors in your hair, and you already bleached your hair. It's really difficult. So I told her I just wanted to go all blonde instead. And instead what she does is GIVES ME HIGHLIGHTS THAT INDIDNT EVEN ASK FOR NOR DID SHE CLARIFY THATS WHAT SHE WAS GOING TO DO FOR ME. Extremely cheap tho. I give them that but horrible customer service and they do not honor their appointments. Incredibly unprofessional. My go to place for hair color. Have been going here for over 4 years and I'm honestly in love with Patty's work. She has done everything from highlights, to ombré, or just simply hair color on me. I first came to this salon because a friend recommended it. She has fabulous hair and I thought "Why not?" I am very picky about my hair so when I first walked in I was hesitant. However, that soon went away. Rosa, my stylist, is a genius. Rosa has taken me from naturally light brown hair to a dark brunette to black to red to blonde. the expierience i had here was some what memorable. first off i would like to say that the stylist Patricia does a very good job doing highlights and cuts. but the problem i had at this salon and the reason i will no longer be going is due to one stylist in particular. her name is "Vero or Veronica" she really crossed the line. she was saying that all people with tattoos are bad, animals, and cholos. that she didnt want her children around "people like that" what she does with her children is her problem. but she has no right to be judging or even talking about the topic without having some common sence that there is clientel inside the salon. i walked in with a sweater, and quickly removed it cuz im not ashamed of myself. im a good citizen in the community, a good mother, daugher,aunt, sister, fiance and i am in no way a animal or a cholo. i dont wna cause problems for this employee but she should at least take in consideration that everyone is differnt and she could be offending someone with the wrong words. other than this the Stylist Patricia & Rosa are great at what they do. i'll be missing you, perhaps i'll return in the future. thankyou. read more
