We were promptly seated and welcomed with attentive and friendly service. My partner and I loved the decor and bar area. We gave ourselves a rooftop tour and since we were hungry we opted to stay downstairs to enjoy the full menu. We got the lobster enchiladas and the shrimp pasta. Red wine and margarita tamarindo. Drink was delicious and I would really recommend this restaurant to try something new or for date night.

We had a marvelous time here! Our waitress Gloria was fantastic, she treated us as if we were family. Being here with my toddler and mom was truly special. Gloria made it that much more amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were delightful. Thank you for everything, we will he coming back next week!

I finally got to go back today and dine in. I got the short braised rib. It came with charro beans. The flavors were delicious as well as the dipping sauces. I will try something else next time. I typically like falling off the bone meat. This one had give. My daughter ordered tempura fish tacos with rice and a side of beans. She said the rice was very flavorful and I had a piece of her fish and it was absolutely delicious. There was a special menu for Father's Day so we had a side of fries and a spicy macaroni and cheese, which she really loved. My daughter is very particular on restaurants and she absolutely loved this one. I was in complete shock.. Our hostess that seated us was absolutely precious and she was very adorable. Jason was our server and he did everything he could to make our visit perfect.. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and everyone in it seemed lively..

Had a great time for my birthday! We were sat fast and were told a 90 min limit since we didn't have reservations no biggie. The food was great! We had the wings 8/10 and nachos 9/10 and drinks 10/10!! The vibes were good and our service (can't remember his name) he was awesome and gave me a free bday shot!

My review is based on the rooftop bar. We went last night and my first impression was "it's sooo pretty". It's got a nice view, nice ambiance, good 90's-2000s music and then towards the end of the night some Bad Bunny and Spanish rock, It had comfortable seating options. We only came here for drinks and to watch the sunset. Our server was so kind, friendly, and patient (wish I got her name). My husband wasn't sure what he wanted and she offered a few suggestions that were pretty tasty. She also kept checking in on us even though we weren't ordering food. The night ended with us watching the fireworks from ONT field. Overall a great experience! Highly recommend trying.

We checked out their rooftop and there was a DJ playing and a photographer as well. There is a nice view of the mountains too! Only small bites were available, so we got the guacamole and ceviche. The food was fresh and flavorful. For drinks, my friend got a cocktail and I opted for the drinks in a tower. They weren't too sweet and very colorful! We went down to the restaurant, since we were still hungry and wanted something more substantial. Before heading down, the photographer gave us a free photo, but we ended buying two more printed ones. We sat out in the patio and shared a branzino. The fish was so delicious. Definitely a fun spot with friends or a date night if you're in the area!

The inside of the restaurant is decorated very nice! It reminded us of Cabo. Very welcoming and comfortable. We went on a Sunday after church and we got lucky to get a table. They recommended making reservations fyi. We had the potato taquitos appetizer and it they were really good and crunchy. My wife had the Short Rib plate. The meat was very tender that it fell off the bone when I tried to cut it. It was very good. The green sauce on the meat was very spicy for us both. If you like spicy it may be ok for you. The Cole slaw was dry. It didn't have any dressing on it and the beans were ok. I had the Chicken Adobo that was over rice and small tomato's cut in half around the plate. The chicken was cooked well but it didn't have much flavor. Again the green sauce was really spicy for me and possibly overcame any flavor of the chicken. The rice underneath the chicken was good. We've never had Arroz con leche like this before. It was very good! We recommend it! Overall it was a good experience! Next time we will try the Mexican dishes.

Great service, nice vibes, but I was let down by the food. We had a reservation for the rooftop and found out they only serve a limited version of their restaurant menu. We were really looking forward to their full menu and wish this was more clear on their website or during their reservation process. Nonetheless, we tried to make the most of our rooftop experience. Unfortunately, the ceviche we ordered had very stale chips and the chicken from the nachos was cold. Our waitress was very nice, but overall, it was not the best experience.

Had great service and food. Beautiful restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. We ate on the main floor inside dining area and went up to the rooftop after dinner. Highly recommend the molcajete and the chocolate churro dessert.

The restaurant is located on the lobby level. When you check in, if you have reservations to the rooftop they guide you to the elevator and scan you up. Once you arrive at the rooftop, you check in again with the hostess on the left. There was music playing and a line at the bar when we were there on a Saturday. I was surprised that the rooftop food menu is very limited. There are only six items to choose from: guacamole, oysters, flatbread, nachos, ceviche, and wings. I ordered the nachos and oysters. The nachos were just okay, the chips were stale and the chicken was cold. The oysters were good! They were served with a Yuzu cucumber sauce that ended up being my favorite thing I tried. Our server mentioned it was her first time working on the rooftop, but she still did a good job and was attentive throughout the evening. Overall, the rooftop experience fell short for me because of the limited menu. Valet parking is $12

Rooftop bar in the IE ( Rancho Cucamonga) was much needed and long over due. This place can be multifunctional for a family dinner, date night,or just drinks with the girls. Durango Cocina food menu was accommodating of all food preferences and everyone can find something on the menu. Vegan, and gluten free options. I ordered these food items Carne Tacos that was served with rice and beans, Guacamole, and Spinach Salad. For drink i ordered Cherry Blossom, Dusk til dawn, a woodford old fashion and a Tito Lychee Martini. I strongly recommend taking the rooftop option with outdoor seating. It's beautiful! Note - they do have valet parking that is 10$ or you can self park, self parking is very limited because of the location. Tell me what you think?!

My husband and I went here for his birthday and while the rooftop happened to be closed due to wind, the inside, ambience is still quite romantic and date worthy. We went on a Saturday, and please that note, buffet brunch is the only thing that is served until 2 PM. We had no idea, so we got there at about 1:30 PM and had a cocktail while we waited for the regular menu to become available. We had the yellowtail crudo and the ahi tostada. Both were fantastic and honestly the best crudos had in a really long time. I had their version of a Caesar salad and I love the preparation and the toasted bread, but I really did not care for the dressing. It was just too far off for me. The food was really good. I would've preferred a longer braise on my short rib, but I enjoyed the sweet and savory taste of it. I'm not a huge bean person so I requested mashed potatoes instead and they accommodated. The churros for dessert were hot and fresh and delicious. As always, we order way too much food and so we definitely have leftovers that we will be enjoying. Finally, I'd like to add that the cocktails were very tasty. I love when they give a good stiff one that is a sleeper and not overwhelming as you're drinking.

Food was great and Victoria was amazing!! She was a very sweet and helpful server!!

Victoria was great!! So helpful and kind we felt very welcomed and my bestfriend loves her birthday dinner i definitely recommend!

Ask the Community - Durango Cocina & Rooftop

    How was the rooftop?

It was nice in the early evening, watching the sunset. Customer service was on point when we went.

I want to make a reservation?

Then you should definitely make reservations, OpenTable or if you just Google it you can reserve a table from there.

    Do they split checks?

    Yes! Up to 4 ways.

Reservations stated "standard or high top. I'm guessing the high top doesn't mean the rooftop? Can a space be reserved for rooftop? Thank you

Means high top table or standard size table.

    Is this place kids friendly?

    Absolutely NOT!!! Food or Vibe.

    What's the dress code?

No dress code, but this venue is nice so you might want to snazz it up a little :)

Do they have a happy hour on the rooftop?

I don't believe so. The rooftop menu only has about 4 food items on it (guacamole, ceviche and 1 other item).

    Is it open yet?

    Yes

The only reason I cannot give a 5 is when I came for lunch on a weekday I noticed no one at the counter while I ate. Some people came and walked out because no one greeted them. The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. My husband and I visit VG a lot and the only disappointing thing to note is that we just recently discovered this restaurant. If you're looking for quality Italian food and excellent service, look no further; Brio Italian Grille in Rancho has you covered. We had our first visit to this establishment a few weeks ago and had a 5-star experience from the second we stepped inside to the moment we left. The staff from the hostess stand to our server were great. Service was friendly, patient, and attentive. The food was nothing short of amazing. As first time diners, we trusted many of our server's recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. Our order consisted of: - Shrimp & Eggplant appetizer - Margherita Neopolitan Pizza - Spicy Radiatori & Burrata Handmade Pasta - a side of the Gnocchi Formaggio - kids' Chicken Alfredo Everything was perfection. The sauce on the Shrimp & Eggplant appetizer was divine and probably the most memorable of the whole meal. We wanted to dip everything in it! The pizza was cooked great. The Spicy Radiatori & Burrata Pasta was a showstopper for my husband. The side dish of the Gnocchi Formaggio was the perfect portion for one person. The kids' Chicken Alfredo was also a generous (and delicious) portion for our toddler. My husband is extremely picky about Italian food and it exceeded any other place we have tried in the area. Although this was our first visit, it definitely will not be our last. There are so many other items we are excited to try from their menu, we cannot wait to return. If you're reading this and on the fence about checking this place out, take the chance and go. You won't regret it.

I feel like it could easily be fixed with an investment in better lighting outdoors.
