Just had my car detailed for the first time ever and it was a great experience with HMA. The exterior of my black car had lots of white scuff marks from scraping up against my house's vinyl siding (VERY narrow driveway), and the interior back seat was covered with coarse black and white dog hair (this being in addition to the usual interior dust/dirt/crumbs that come from commuting 60+ miles every day). HMA did an amazing job--the car looks brand new inside and out. The customer service was great (courtesy call, pickup, and the call to alert me that the amount of dog hair warranted an additional fee which I happily paid--dog hair is HARD to get out and they did an amazing job). I had just got my new car. Someone puked in my car the second week I had it. They tried to puke out the window and it all flew back in because I was driving on the highway. There was puke all over the passengers side of the car and splattered all over the rest of the car. The puke left stains all over the light grey headliner as well. I tried to clean it for several hours but to no avail. The Puke was in every crack and crevice and I knew I needed professional help. They did an amazing job and made my car look and smell just as it had a few weeks prior when I drove it out of the dealer lot. I highly recommend HMA car care!! read more

This review is specific to HMA's dent-away service. I had a Nissan Pathfinder coming to the end of its lease, with a nasty dent above the wheel well, with a body line right through the middle. I took it to Dent Wizard in Peabody, and they quoted me $312. I brought it to HMA and the quote was $107. When I got the car back, all traces of the dent were completely gone. The leasing company was none the wiser, and today I got my "damage-free" statement from Nissan. read more

I really hate to say it but if I could give no stars to HMA at this point I would - due to their unexpected awful customer service and detailing. I'm shocked at "detailing" I received after paying to have a deluxe interior car detailing done on 4/14/18 (rugs shampooed, car vacuumed and seats and all interior surfaces treated etc) - I even told them to skip the trunk and exterior so the interior could be the primary focus. I got the car back last Saturday looking as it does in the PHOTOS, dirty back seat with what looks like coffee spill, dirt/food crumbs still on floors and rugs, rugs did not appear shampooed or feel slightly wet, seatbelts not cleaned etc. I called the next day, explained my concerns and was told to bring the car back today 4/21/18. I did and hoped for a better result but when I got my car back this afternoon the interior hadn't even been wiped down, dirt and dust still all over dash and the photo with dirt on fingers is what came off the passenger seat after HMA's "SECOND" detailing. Terrible! I immediately drove the car back to HMA where the owner and man who worked on my car came to check the car out and proceeded to tell me the car is spotless!?!! Told me that there is nothing wrong with it and that no one else could do a better job of cleaning it. I told them I disagreed as I had my car detailed previously by HMA when they were at their old location off North Street, and was extremely impressed, however today and last Saturday I was given back a car that looks like ONLY the rugs were vacuumed. The men basically told me I was crazy, incorrect and so I told them I understood the disagreement but wanted a refund, even half or partial so I could pay someone else to do the job right. Bob refused to give me a refund and told me to bring the car back a THIRD time for him to do it himself? Yet he was the one telling me my still dirty car was spotless. HMA, you let me down and I will be writing to more people about this to see who can help me get a FULL refund of my money and hopefully stop HMA from ripping people off. read more

I have been using HMA since I moved to Salem. I get my car detailed here once a year. The service is simply excellent, and they do great work. They will ask you where to focus, what areas need the most attention, what you want the car to look like, and they'll work with you to find a package that meets your needs. They don't oversell, they care about your car, and they want you to have the best-looking car when you leave. I've never been disappointed, and I will come back again and again. Customer service is amazing. The first time I had my car detailed, I needed it in a hurry and had no reason to expect they could do it. But they let me leave the car overnight, did it first thing in the morning, and I left with an awesome-looking car by 8 that morning. That's why I'll go back every year. 2nd detail and last detail ever with HMA. You can see my old review on another car from 2012 in the hidden reviews. Back then they did a decent although sloppy job. I decided to give them a 2nd chance a few years later with a different car. I have to say this time was awful. Probably the worst detail I have ever seen. They basically wet vacuumed the carpets, wiped down the radio and upper console and that was it. The man on the phone told me it was a "Complete interior detail" I didn't expect the word for 150 bucks but this was awful. Inner door plastic untouched, door sills untouched, passenger seat not vacuumed or washed, vanity mirrors unwashed, glove box door unwashed, windshield pillars (Where the door frame meet the windshield not wiped), still had visible dirt and finger prints, steering wheels not cleaned, under paneling below steering column totally untouched, lower front door panels untouched (Still had road splash snow dirt on them) Ashtray left with a random sticky piece of candy inside (Easily removes and can be cleaned with a rag). Basically this WAS NOT A DETAIL. It's a 150$ hack job where they pay a guy 8$ an hour to Armor All the radio and make it look shiny. I waited 2 years to have the money to do this. I was beyond disappointed. I think HMA has gotten too old and gone down hill. The entire place is a wreck, the self serve bays are falling apart, the parking lot and signage are faded and broken. I should have really paid attention. HMA is a has been that's beyond it's time and they just do make a few grand so they can keep the lights on. read more

I have been going to HMA for several years now - I get my car detailed every six months or so to keep it in great condition. HMA has done a terrific job every time they've detailed my car. I feel like I am driving a new car off the lot every time I leave. In addition to the stellar cleaning they are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The work they do and the really friendly staff are what haw kept me coming back, and will continue to keep me coming back in the future. Plus, how sweet is it that they give you a little bag of candy with your detail? Its a nice little throw back to the times when things were simpler. I couldn't recommend HMA more highly! read more

I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in there to have the engine steam cleaned $ 59.90 and the cloth seats and rugs vacuumed and shampooed they came out excellent. Recently had my Range Rover Autobiography detailed. I chose the S5 level with 3M micro and the result was fantastic. All swirls and minor scratches were removed and the inside out done with great precision and care. I come from Miami where detailing for high end cars is competitive and pricey, and would have to say this was one of the best. REMOVE YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS!!! Although I specifically told them NOT to clean the center console, somehow my bottle of cologne went missing. I also told them NOT to clean out the change tray, yet my nearly full change tray became nearly empty. They did a great job on the detailing and wash. That starts them off with a solid 5 stars. Minus one star for "losing" my cologne from an area they weren't supposed to touch. Minus one star for "losing" nearly all of my change. Feel like I got scammed, paid $220 for my truck to come back like a 5 year old washed it, it was still dirty with bird droppings, dirt and leaves on it, bed of truck wasn't even hosed down, rim dust, interior wasn't even vacuumed never mind shampoo. After complaining about it they said I could bring it back another day and they would actually clean it next time. So excited to get my van cleaned before baby #3 and when it was returned it looked ok. I got the detailed package and was told it would be q tip clean. Upon further inspection multiple cup holders were disgusting, hair still in some and the back seats hadn't been folded down and cleaned. When talking with the owner he made the excuse that the techs didn't know how to fold the seat down. I explained they could have called me but no one did. They took the van back and fixed the big problems, but honestly the attitude from the owner and the lack of professionalism and detail on the car cleaning left me with a horrible experience. I am pretty sure my teenager can do a better job next time and I won't have to pay him hundreds of dollars! read more

Very disappointed. I brought my brand new car in because it was keyed in a parking lot. The owner told me that he didn't know if he could get it out but would give it a good try, he said he would also wax it for me and gave me an estimate of $150. So I brought it in and came back to get it and could still see the entire scratch mark through and through, even the parts that weren't through the paint. To top it off he charged me $120 for that wax he said he would do, even though he had not included it in the estimate price so I was very taken aback when I got the bill. I told him how disappointed I was that I spent so much money and the scratch hardly looked better at all, he said he would do it again himself. So, I bring it back they keep it for 3 hrs and when I come back to get it NOTHING had been done. He said he didn't dare touch it because he didn't want to go through the clear coat. He then precedes to hand me $20 buck and told me to get some lunch on him. (rude) I wasn't expecting a miracle but for the price I was expecting better. Also, that $120 wax and buff that he threw in without informing me of the price and asking me if I even wanted a wax.. wasn't that great. I had berry stains from a tree outside my house that they just left on the car. So, for $270 I got a shiny car with a huge scratch on the door. He could of atleast offered to give me half the money back. I feel like my money was stolen and I was taken advantage of. I think that the staff are unprofessional and they are out for the money. I will not be going back to HMA. I can get a better wax else where probably for cheaper. read more

I paid 200.00 to have my wife's car detailed and all they did was vacuum the rugs and wash the exterior. No wax. No shampoo No detailing of engine bay. The car had mud in the wheel wells and bird shit on the hood upon return. Salt stains on the carpet. I have my cars detailed at least once a year. This is the first and last time I do business with these clowns. Completely ripped off. Aweful. Every time I look at it I get mad. Next weekend I'll do it myself. Buyer beware. read more

They did a nice detail on my BMW, however they damaged the windscreen on my car. They took responsibility and said they would repair it and not charge me for the detail. It took about 6 weeks to repair then they charged me which they said they would not. I have no problem paying for the service I received but I would have liked them to have told me. read more

Words cannot describe the splendor of my car at this moment. It's cleaner than when I picked it up from the dealership three years ago. I bought a very slightly used car, and it had a few minor flaws, but now it seriously looks brand new and it's four years old. I should have taken before and after photos, and anyone who knows me knows that I could enter a "food filled mom-mobile" contest and win. My son and I eat breakfast in the car five days a week during the school year. Coffee, crumbs, you name it, it was ground into the upholstery and rugs in my car. Luckily, HMA posted some before and after minivan pics on their website to make me feel less alone. I built up the courage to swallow my fears and turn my car over to the experts. I really recommend the interior detailing a few times a year--money very well spent. This makes the commute all the more bearable; a nice clean car that I'm not mortified to be seen driving! I was so shocked I called back thinking I'd just talk to the manager to let them know and she hung up on me immediately. Recommended by a coworker and couldn't be happier. Everything was professionally done, from the initial booking call to the drop off. The receptionist was sweet and informative without being sales pitchy. Communication was excellent. Car was picked up at the time I was told it would be, detail took an hour less than expected and my car literally looks like it came off the showroom. Every nook and cranny was cleaner, down to the glove compartment. The price for the work is completely fair. I've paid $189 for "24 karat gold service" regularly as my car is leased and have never gotten anything close to the detail I received with HMA. The service rep dropped off my keys along with a bag of hard candy, and when I left work that night I found coloring pages, crayons, and a figurine on my car seat base, and a magnet with lollipops and service info on my passenger. These things aren't at all necessary but explicated the level of extra mile service provided by this company. I'm a huge fan and will be a regular customer. read more

I would never recommend anyone bringing me their car here. Worse detailing place of all New England. I got my BRAND NEW car treated for some minor stains on the headliner and sunroof (about a couple inches wide). I was really excited for them to get the stains out which they said they would. They were very reassuring that the stains would come out. I went to get my car the next day and they ruined the entire back of my headliner and the entire sunroof. The aftermath of the stains was well over 2 feet long and very visible. I think they should have bought me a brand new headliner and sunroof screen considering how bad of a job they did. After all of this they still made me pay for the damage they caused. Never ever go here to get your car cleaned or fixed. They will ruin your car. They do NOT know what they are doing. And I really hope that none of you paying customers have to go through the experience I went through. read more
