I'm an "old" lady who's never going to get another new car. I figured I'd just have to live with how this one looked. I did a paper route for 5.5 years and it received more than its share of bumps and bruises However, my "Joey" now looks completely new. The cost of the work was much less than I expected, especially since the entire inside was perfectly detailed in addition to the beautiful body work on the outside. I was rear-ended on the highway during stop-and-go traffic. The exchange was very amicable. His insurance (Commerce / MAPFRE) handled the whole thing exceptionally well. They made an immediate decision and arranged for repair and a car rental (Enterprise). I went with their autobody shop (Michael's Auto Body of Beverly). I don't often give feedback but they were so good I really can't keep quiet. They did an excellent job, they called me to arrange pickup before I called them, and when I got there, they had detailed the truck inside and outside!! I gave them the rental keys and drove off in my new looking truck ... no cost to me ... how's that for a good accident experience? Brought my Subaru here for some long-overdue TLC for the front end and undercarriage components. Made an appointment for the assessment, everything went on schedule and received an itemized quote (body work is expensive so it was helpful to see parts and labor broken out clearly) with no pressure. A few weeks later I brought it in for the actual work. Again, everything on schedule, and even got the car back a day earlier than expected. It looked AMAZING, and the fact that they threw in a detail - interior and exterior - was just gravy. Very welcome, shiny gravy. Also they gave me a box of cookies. Miscellany: I was pleased with their COVID precautions, office organization and customer service, and while I preferred to go through my usual company for this they do offer Hertz rentals for $30/day. Of course I hope I don't need their services often, but any time I do need body work I will be so happy to have Michael's to call on. read more

Brought my car in for an estimate for a dent and scratches on the rear passenger door that was missing own fault so no insurance claims involved. Another body shop quoted me close to $2500, Pat's quote was $1000. Not only we're they fair and reasonable, but they did a fantastic job! I actually forgot which side was damaged! Don't look elsewhere seriously. I looked at a bunch of different places to go when my friend got in an accident in my truck, and ended up at Michaels because a friend recommended them. I then looked up the Yelp reviews on them and it had me sold so in I went. At the same time we were selling our house and moving out of state, so time was of the essence. I told them my situation when I went in to have them inspect the truck, and they had me come back the next morning to drop it off. They got me into a rental and had it all set up for me as well, making the process as easy as possible. A few days after I left the truck with them, I realized I had left something in there that I needed for a job I was working on. My truck was actually in the paint booth at this point, yet they had no problems getting my tools I needed for me out of the truck. (By the way it gets hot in that booth!) Less than a week later and here we are. My truck looks flawless, which is also the most important, but making this entire process as easy as it was is also a big part of it. This place really embodies what an honest body shop should be. I had some body damage to my minivan which cost about $1k. Originally when they scheduled my work it was going to be about a month out, but they spent time fitting me in just a week after I accepted. They originally gave me a 4 day estimate to complete the work. It was done in 2 days. When I went to go pick it up, they had knocked $100 off my bill. Has that ever happened? It was amazing. I was so happy, until I actually got in the car and drove off. Then I was elated as they had detailed and cleaned my car, completely free and thoroughly cleaned the outside of the car as well including the tires. This place is literally the hidden gem I never knew about! Some of The nicest and most helpful guys I have ever met! I had been in an accident and the car was salvageable but needed a lot of work. (Another body shop had even told me that it was too much for them and to call elsewhere). I was so glad the rental car company recommended Michael's and I was thrilled when they called me back within an hour and said they would take it. I have had my car fixed up here twice and both times have been surprised by the warm, friendly customer service and great job they've done on my car. My most recent experience was mid-September 2014. I needed a headlight replaced and some body work done to the front fender after someone hit my parked car in a parking lot. They took care of everything for me. They fixed up my car and--to my happy surprise--cleaned it inside and out (and not just a shoddy cleaning job, they wiped the windows and dashboard, and vacuumed!). The only drawback to this place is that there can be a wait--it seems everybody wants to come here. Worth the wait, though. I have not written a Yelp review in a really long time, but I felt the need to after my experience here. I came here after I had been in a car accident at the recommendation of my usual mechanic. I drove to Michael's Auto Body on the verge of tears and the gentleman who helped me could not have been nicer. He gave me a quote right away and offered to drive me home. He walked me through the insurance process and gave me a timetable of how long it would take to fix my car. When I picked it up today the whole car was vacuumed and spotless (which given the shape I left it in must have taken quite a while). The body work they did on my car looks great.
