I have been to places where they do your hand and feet at the same time but It was very uncomfortable having to stretch my arms across. My only negative feedback is parking. My nails were pretty damaged and all uneven lengths, and Betina fixed them up so nicely. She started with filing my nails, cleaning up the textures and whatnot, and for the nails that needed some additional length, she put some polygel. Once that was dried, she continued to shape my nails. So much detail and precision! The major focus when it comes to Russian manicures and others is the cuticle aspect. A lot of time and precision is spent around this area of the nails- fine drilling tools, the cutting super precise, etc. Once nails were shaped and cuticles/nailbeds very cleaned, the hard gel process started. That was practically painted on the nails. Sounds so simple, but requires so much talent as it's not just a straight application, rather molding and painting on the same time to give it some apex/curvature. It looks so good! You do get to pick a hard gel base color. I chose the one called "latte" which is a shade of light pink, but a bit deeper. Once the hard gel is on and dried, you can finish then, or choose designs, gel polish, etc. I opted for a classic French tip design on the natural hard gel base. So elegant, so perfect. Betina also does chrome design/style and can advise which color hard gel base to start with to get the ideal chrome color/shine/finish. Was tempted to try that, but maybe another time. :) Definitely one of the longest manicures I've had, but it's sooooo good!! The hard gel is supposed to last a long time, so we shall see. Will def be back to get a fill or another full manicure in a month or 2, assuming these nails last me. Here's to stronger/steadier natural nails! Thanks so much, Betina. However, I will admit that I did come in when I had a Gel-X tip split from another salon and they helped me with a new nail and tried to match the color as much as possible. The pedicures, mainly gel ones LAST 3+ weeks. It's probably their top and base because I've brought in my own gel (LeChat) and the results were the same. (I do avoid using DND/Daisy since I'm not a fan of them.) They also cut my nails as short as I request them to and VERY SHORT. Massages sometimes can be hit or miss since I need a firm, deep tissue. But I will say the consistency of having pedicures that can last forever is great! Don't change Kevin and Team! My only cons are that they don't do Russian/dry manicures as a normal mani treatment. Prices are a little high, but that's typical Diablo Valley prices. Oakland/Berkeley/Alameda are around 10-15% cheaper.

The biggest surprise came when, after all that waiting, a staff member told me they couldn't do my manicure because there were too many customers waiting. I had specifically booked an appointment, so I don't understand why my reserved time wasn't honored. Overall, the service was unprofessional, poorly organized, and not worth the money. If appointments are required, they should be respected. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this salon based on how we were treated.
