The orange chicken wasn't even chicken. It's like bread. . I want my money back so fucking bad. Absolutely horrible. I ordered a big plate of orange chicken and it wasn't even chicken. The egg rolls was horrible tasted old the most horrible Chinese food I've ever tasted in my life, the most horrible Chinese food in Denver . Straight up poison rip off.

Well......it's a bargain. You'll definitely get quantity however quality wouldn't be a word I would use here. Could be a cheaper version of Panda Express.

Definitely not the best Chinese in town, but was okay. Pros: - 2 meals cost $10 - Free soda with the meals Cons: - Lo Mein noodles were made of Italian spaghetti - Shrimp still had the skins on - Poor customer service, the people serving you are constantly distracted by their coworkers, and chat to other members of staff while communicating your order

Reason for this review is because while we bought 2 wontons the woman at the register still charged my son $.25 for sweet and sour sauce when I sent him back up to get some. Thank you again to the gentleman in line who paid. While I'm here I might as well review our meal... The orange chicken is hard and chewy. The sesame chicken was the same. The chicken lo mein didn't have any chicken in it. The food wasn't hot, but room temperature.

I prefer Ho Mei No3. This one isnt bad. They are friendly and the give you a decent portion. Its reasonable. The food is tasty but i felt as if it could of been hotter. It was a lil warm while i was eating it. The Egg Roll was hot. Im partial to the other one because they always give you extra soda and extra food. I will become a regular at this one though when im on this side of town. The restaurant is clean and thats a big plus. They do charge a Qtr for Sweet and Sour Sauce though. I did have to contact the Health Department because my chicken didnt feel hot as it should of been. The Health Dept contacted me and said the food on top wasnt as hot as it should of been. But Beneath it the food was held at the recommended 135 Degrees temp. They wrote them up for the food being to cool on the top and suggested they get better up to date Heatlamps to keep the food on top at the proper temp.

Fried Rice / Lo Mein / Orange Chicken / Teriyaki Chicken - 2 Star

I've been meaning to stop in here for awhile as I live close by. So today after some quick shopping I stopped by and grabbed a combo. 1/2 fried rice with 1/2 lo mein for my sides and then orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with 2 crab wontons and a soda, all of that was $5 after tax. They give you a lot of food and it actually looked and smelt pretty good. I started eating it and it was bland. The fried rice tasted like regular plain white rice, the lo mein like lightly sauced pasta noodles, the chicken dishes were ok. At about mid way point thru the meal I was thinking a 2 or 2.5 rating would be fair due to it being editable and ok for the price and quantity. And then I bit into a bone in my orange chicken. A pretty good sized bone. So.. If you want some very mediocre food, and a lot of it, feel free. If you're looking for good food you're going to want to look somewhere else.

Orange chicken, pepper shrimp, beef and broccoli.

The dining room is still closed, they essentially keep the dining room as a storage closet lol. You walk in to pick up your order and they have tables blocking the entry, that's where you pay for your food. The portions are still as giant as ever, and the prices are still affordable. My wife and I had a hankering the other day for our old stomping grounds, so we jetted over there to pickup an order. It was ready in 10 minutes and two meals ran us $32. I think I pay $32 for a good cup of coffee these days!!!!!! I kid, I kid. The meal lasts you for days, you really get two giant sized portions out of it. It will probably last some of you three days. They don't skimp out here and it's incredible. They serve Asian fusion, Chinese American meals that are addictive. Or is that the MSG??? Probably so, and that's why it's delicious. The food is just so damn craveable! Don't break the bank. Get what you really want. Taste of China, we still love you so much.

(Note, they are closed on Tuesdays.) I placed our pickup order on a Saturday night & it was ready in 15 minutes. The restaurant is for take-out only. Our food was in containers & placed in a box. I appreciated this since there was no way anything was going to tip over & spill. Very friendly phone & counter service as well. Note, you get six free Cheese Wontons when your order is more than $40. We ordered three different entrees with three different sides - Steamed White Rice, Fried Rice & Lo Mein Noodles. The sides were good, however the fried rice didn't seem fried, it was white rice with soy sauce. The Sweet & Sour Shrimp Entree was tasty - the shrimp were medium sized, cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. The Sesame Chicken Entree was even better, the chicken was moist & tender. The beef in the Mongolian Beef Entree was great however there were way too many onions in the dish. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

I was really expecting some being that would basically melt in my mouth and that was not at all the experience. it made me miss San Francisco Asian food so much... as a treat myself kind of meal, it was fine, but I'm glad I went by myself rather than a date night with my husband cause I think we both would've regretted it on the plus side if there is one is that the staff we're remarkably friendly even for the lunch crowd. My group of 7 shared the roasted pork, pork and duck barbecue. I'm not a fan of duck so it would not be fair for me to write anything about it, but those who loved duck meat said that this place serve wonderful barbecue duck. As for the pork, both roasted and barbecue, they were so good. We had a little bit of white rice to eat with the meat, but really, you don't need the extra rice in order to eat these two types of pork meats. Since both styles of the pork were prepared differently, I cannot say one is better than the other: they were both delicious. The crunchiness and the flavorful from the roasted pork, as well as the aroma and the soft chewy from the barbecue pork, brings this dining experience to the next level. We also ordered the yu stir fry choy sum in garlic, the combination fried rice, and salt and pepper shrimp. I highly recommend the yu choy and shrimp dishes. I would skip the fried rice and get their beef chow fun, which is exactly what my other group of 6 did. In addition to what were mentioned above, they ordered Chinese broccoli, daikon and beef in clay pot, Taishan five spice duck, salted fish & chicken fried rice. Everyone enjoyed their food and dining experience here. Conversations were easily understood and heard. When asked what their favorite dish was, all of us said we liked everything, but when pressed to give one special dish, several folks mentioned the roasted pork, the clay pot, and the salt and pepper shrimp. Service here was excellent. The manager was very accommodating to our large group of diners, coming back and making sure we are doing fine as he refilled our water glasses. If you are looking for legit Chinese barbecue pork and duck, you don't need to look further: it's here at Happy Cafe BBQ. Enjoy!
