I wasn't quite sure how to order. The lady server was not helpful and I couldn't understand her because of her mask and accent. So I placed a "special order" and had to wait for about 20 minutes for it. It appears to be a buffet with special items listed on the menu. If there's one thing you can't beat here it's the value! We got a portion of Kung Pao Chicken, 4 Egg Rolls, and an order of Hot and Sour soup for under $7. That to me is just insane! The amount of chicken in the order seemed ok (especially for the price) and they used lots of veggies so for a single serving not bad at all. The got and sour soup was good, and I would say on par with any other soup I have had. The egg rolls were nothing to write home about but we all know you just get an egg roll to have a nice little deep fried crunch anyways. This was my first time trying one of those "dollar scoop" places and it wasn't bad. Why did I eat here. I should have suspected something when there was only 1 picture in the window of this Chinese restaurant. The food tasted like paper machet, cotton ball while my mouth was numb from novacaine at the same dann time. The chicken had some goo on it that if I waited for it to cool down it would have the same consistency as tar with bbq sauce. The broccoli was nothing but a salt lick. Love this place. One time I was at the mc donalds and the line wasn't moving. Someone F-bombed lets just go to Ho-Mie and the line reversed over to Ho-Mie. I totally love this place. It is a great value. They had to raise prices but it is still a great value. I still eat at Mc Donalds by my house. But now that I know you can have a great scoop of Chinese for less then fries or the same as fries.... Live and Learn and I'm glad I learned about this great place. My wife prefers one on the other side of the interstate and they will get a 5 star review as well. The employees here are always friendly. So great customer service along with the great food. So much better then a overly sugared overly priced smoothie. This place saves me money as well cuz I avoid eating at McDonalds as much. I save my cash for when I'm near this place. read more

Meh. That's the overall result I got when trying this place for the first time. Now I will say this, the prices are really decent but... for the overall quality of the food ... you get what you pay for. I had sesame chicken, orange chicken and fried rice. The chicken for both was blend. Not much flavor, the texture was soft. The fried rice was fine except for the occasional thick pieces of onion. The inside doesn't look very clean. The lady who served me, I noticed after was peeling skin from her fingers. The phone behind the food was filthy. I am all for hole the wall places, but this was not being kept up at all. Parking was confusing as there are no parking lines. The pop you got with you meal was knock off brand. Not to mention they were stacked next to the entrance. If you're looking for a nice hole in the wall family owned Chinese restaurant... look elsewhere. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This place is disgusting. The "chicken" is little fried balls of who knows what kind of meat. The fried portion of the meat (if that's what it is) tastes sweet like someone sprinkled sugar on it--Nasty! Anyone who gave this place a good review is crazy, seriously..and if you don't believe me, go eat there yourself. Nothing to Complain about here. The Drive thru isnt open you must go inside. I order the Happy Family or Broccoli Beef, or Orange Chicken. They give you a free sample of something each time you go in. They really pack the food into the togo box if you get it to go. The sodas are in cans but i always get extras. The employees are super friendly. Not much atmosphere but the prices are cheap and the food is better than good. I can taste it right now. This place reminded me of the good Chinese places in Manhattan, New York. When you arrive the exterior of the estabilsmen, along with the seating is not your typical place. The food however is out of this world. like New York you go there for good food and good food alone. You dont want to sit and eat take it with you but either way you habe to try this place. There are mice running around the restaurant. I was dining one evening after a long day, and I needed to chow down on some fast Asian food, so I decided to come here with a friend because I experienced a better time here last time, than the location in Peoria. As soon as we were greeted by the friendly staff, we grabbed some seats and started to eat our plates, when all of a sudden my friend realizes how shocked he is when he sees mice running around the dining room, and sort of hiding. I didn't believe him at first, but then I was too frightened to get up, I finally had the courage to do so, and there I see a very tiny cute little grey looking mouse who was wandering around the room. I was pretty grossed out though, and could not finish the food at all. We went and spoke with owner and they said, "little one?" As if they already knew they had this problem already. I was angry to know they were not one bit concerned and honestly, we haven't dined here since. But this is a crazy health issue, and needs to be addressed. read more

I have been going here off and on over the last several years, and the food is always very good, a decent selection, and I know it's fresh! You can see them cooking it back in the kitchen and it always sounds very busy back there. The chicken wings are the best! They are very crispy, with good flavor and spice, but not too much.
