Good barbers here but Mr May you should always ask the customer before making adjustments to the customers hair. For example you gave me a line up today which I didn't want but it was too late to change. Please always ask the customer if they want their hairline adjusted before you cut it some people don't like line up hair lines. Here's the deal... Just like any other great barber, if you want to guarantee a haircut from Ho the barber, then you should call and make an appointment. I've been to $20 haircut places, $40 haircut places and even wasted $60 bucks at some wacky fancy place with a mediocre barber at best. Only reason I went to those was because I was traveling outside the orange area. Ho and his wife are one of the few hardworking and honest business people in the area. I've been using him since 2012 This guy can compete with all the Instagram barbers and would probably beat them... straight up Love this place so much!!!! Mrs. Ho is super friendly, and pretty good at how I want my cut. Mind you, my cut is very detailed and not one barber has gotten it right $15, 25, 30,45... no matter what they charge. This is more of a 4.5 rating but I don't think they deserve a 4. The place is awesome Mom and Pop Barber shop that I would definitely support as a local business. Mrs. Ho has been cutting my hair for the past 6 months now and I am pleased with my cut each time. She is always nice and makes time when I call in advanced. The best part is, I ask for my cut and she gets it. No extra nonsense, washing hair, steamed towel, beer.. etc get my cut, get it done right and off I go back to work. I was looking for a place close by for a hair cut and made several calls to different barbershops, most required an appointment or was too expensive. By luck I spotted this place driving home figured what the heck, I was a walk-in and expected to wait (wasn't bad, maybe 5min) since there were only 2 lady barbers working (not a bad wait time). All in all, its my new spot! $15 hair cut, it was as good as my $25/$30 old place. Granted it this shop isn't hip and decked out like others barbershops but its not disgusting either. Why should I pay more to sit and wait in a modern, clubish environment? Your only there 20 or 30 min tops. My only concerns is cleanliness, a great cut at a fair price. I'm glad decided to get my haircut at Ho the Barber. Walked in, sat down and within a minute a woman directed me to one of the open chairs. Asked me what I wanted, which was a basic clean up, tapered around my ears. She did a great job. Took the time to trim and clip to fit the shape of my head (as compared to the typical lawnmower method used to get you out of the chair fast). I took advantage of offer to trim eyebrows. IMO you can't beat the $18 price. For my head and preferred type of cut - it's a great value. read more

I have had my haircut at Ho's several times and was always happy with the results, but this last time was less than great. I asked to have it cleaned up a little, and what I got looked more like I was on my way to basic training than a trim. I feel I was clear in describing how I wanted certain things done, so I was very frustrated with the results. The person cutting my hair was apologetic, which I appreciate, but doesn't change the fact that I'm stuck with a hairstyle I didn't want. I'm giving them four stars for the previous service I received there, but I'll be looking for a new barber after this. read more

Not sure if I will be coming back. I came in on Labor Day to get a trim. Location was close to home and my to go barber shop was closed. I was not sure where the location was because there was no sign. From the direction I was headed, there was a sign that indicates that they(Ho The Barber) make keys. Once inside I waited and was quickly helped by a nice Asian lady. You can tell that this lady and Mr. Ho are honest and hard working people. The reason why I'm giving this place a 3 star is because it felt more like a salon than a barber shop. Having been to salons most of my life and recently just started going to a barber you can tell right away. Overall if you want a barber style cut I personally would go somewhere else especially since my trim was $14 and not to the quality I expected. read more

I get my undercut done here about every 2 weeks. I'm from Orange County and I live in L.A. now, but I refuse to go to any other shop. This barber is out of my way but worth it!!
