Booked an appointment with Theo for 11am Sunday morning. Needed a cut bad and this would be my first time here. It let me book the appointment on their site, received confirmation email, received reminder email, it says they are open on Google and on Yelp, and even when you arrive they have a sign that says "open, come on in" that they clearly forgot to flip around. They were closed. Will never come here and will recommend against. Get your act together. Edit: I should mention that I saw two other people walk up to the shop in the 5 minutes I was trying to figure out where else to get my hair cut. TL;DR Got a lot of pushback from the barber when I told him what I wanted done with my hair. They didn't honor the coupon they sent out. Nobody even noticed I got a haircut after. My first experience with this shop was... meh. I received a money mailer that goes out to new residents in the area and in there was an add for proper barbershop along with 2 coupons. One coupon was "$5 off first time cut with this coupon". I was looking for a new barbershop and I was excited to try this one. The vibe of the place is cool, decor and atmosphere seems a little unfinished, but still went in excited to get a cut. The barber I got gave me a lot of pushback when I explained what I wanted to do with my hair. For example, I told him how I wanted to have the back of my hair faded and where I wanted him to fade it up to, he told me he didn't think that would look good, that it only would look good for a person with a certain type of neck. Weird, but ok. He even gave me push back on the length of my hair when I told him I wanted him to go a bit shorter. I really don't like this. When I go to a barber I want to tell you want I want and the barber should do it and try their best to make it look good. But I let him do what he thought look best just to be easy going. We finished up and went to pay. He charged me the same amount listed up on the board for a first time cut. I gave him the coupon and he said "I already gave you the first time cut rate." I said "but it says $5 off with this coupon" and he responded "that's not really a coupon. It's just a flyer we sent out to let people know we're here" I once again just went along with it, didn't want to argue over $5, but I do find this kind of thing to be very dishonorable and shady business tactics. Worst part of this whole experience though... I went home and my girlfriend didn't even notice I got a haircut. He basically just cleaned my hair up a little. I hate when I get a haircut and it's not even noticeable. I might give this place another shot. There was no wait time, which was nice. He keeps stocked with the pomade I use which is great as well. The environment here is great , its going to kick it with the boys. Maybe not for everyone but if your not a stuck up snoody person. I been to plenty, and I mean plenty of barbers. It's hard for me to trust anyone with my hair and have had many shitty cuts. I've been to "mens salons" to your average barber shop and I tell you this place is ligit. These guys know what they are doing. RJ did my cut today. All I told him was I wanted a comb over with a fade and to taper the back; he delivered. He even said he noticed my hair was cut too high on the side so he corrected my hair so it sits how it should. And it's tru, that was always the issue, barbers would cut my hair too high on the side and I have to use products to hide it. I would grow it out for 3 months then pick a different barber. My husband has been a client at the LA location for a few years but they're not open yet bc of the various protests in the area. We decided to make the drive down to this location and were set up with Jacob. He did such a fabulous job! We gave very vague instructions for what my husband was looking for but Jacob used his skill and talent to give my husband a totally new look. We're so happy with the job Jacob did. He really took his time and was very nice. The location is great also. Very clean inside and super cool ambience. I have the pleasure of getting to write about two professionals at this barber shop, Theo and Taylor. The former is the barber I typically visit. The guy is a true professional, and his attention to detail is off the charts. My haircuts have always looked top notch. He combines his expertise on what looks good, and my desire for how I wanted to look (spoiler alert, not good ideas), into a haircut that mirrored my desired image but in a way that truly compliments my head. Taylor is the barber in the seat next to Theo. Until recently, I had only had the benefit of watching Taylor's work from six feet away, so my experience had only been seeing how nice and subtly hilarious Taylor is. This changed recently, when Taylor was able to squeeze me in when Theo was unavailable. Taylor gave me a top notch haircut that helped give me a different perspective on how my hair should look, and new bits of detail I intend to keep long term. Taylor's haircut kept the tradition of high end quality I had become accustomed to, and now I can firsthand recommend this professional services. The rest of the barbers working at this establishment all our warm, funny, and welcoming people that make it for an overall enjoyable experience. Absolutely worth every penny. read more

Easy is the man. I've been to the same barber for seven years, he recently moved and I've been tasked with finding someone I trust. I've tried two other shops in the area without success. I walked in closer to closing than I wanted to. I spoke to Easy and asked him if I could make an appointment. He indicated that I should take a seat and that it wasn't too late for a haircut.
